Just so you know, there is no such thing as an "ambulance driver". There are Paramedics and EMT's who work on ambulances and they normally work 2 person per ambulance and they will rotate driving on each shift.

I can agree with everything you said about Troopers. I'm a retired police officer and I ran into so many Troopers over the year. I'd say most were great guys to have your back but , you always had that one Trooper who thought he was better than everyone. Like you said, a "dickhead". Here in Pennsylvania we call the State Toppers "Grey Gods".

former vsp here. our academy is 8 months with 1 month fto in the middle of the academy. the pit was something they incorporated within the past 5 years to their evoc training with a facility they built. everyone here knows about gsps pits. lot of respect for these guys

I just wanted to say thanks for giving the cops perspective on things. Not enough people look at things from the cops point of view. They just see the uniform and not the person wearing it. I'm not a cop myself but I plan to be, and with the divide between civilians and cops growing it's nice to see someone who is doing there part to close it, and make the world a better place.
I know quite a few Georgia State Troopers. My school organized a "law enforcement day" where local, county, state, and even federal agencies came in to talk about their careers and their department. Fairburn Police, Fulton County Police, Fulton County Sheriff's Department, Georgia State Patrol, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Fort Benning Police, The FBI, and the DHS all had personnel there.

Depending on the state the laws will vary. I work in Maine we can legally stop you for going 1 over, however I have never really found a reason too

I frequent GA very often cause my wife is from Savannah. me being from upstate NY where we have some stupid laws, for some reason GA state patrol seems more intimidating lol. I think it's the gray cars and bright ass blue lights. Here we got dark blue cars and red lights. Much easier on the eyes. I think the gray and blue is just Nazi SS looking lol.
I P S i live in iowa and we got Grey cars, with big ass Yellow Shield shaped logos on the sides that say Iowa State Patrool.
