I try to keep it semi-realistic by only accepting players of a specific minimum value, the higher the division the higher the minimum value.

The way I keep it realistic is by signing youth scouts, rather than players with a specific rating, and the higher the league, the higher the rating can be.

Adding a few things. 1-don’t always reject 15yr olds with a mediocre overall and a not a crazy high potential. Keep ur scout on em an extra month or so and some of them will turn into little beasts. 2-these little 15 yr old beasts who now are in ur academy have an extra year to develop. Take a look at their attributes. For example if he’s a 5 foot 6 cm then you’d be better off a lm or rm, or if he’s a LS and you use wingers , convert him into a winger. That takes me to 3- get then trained in a couple positions but don’t stop there! For example if he’s a rwb then train him a spell at inverted, then attacking wing back, then support. If you’ve got great coaches you’ll get thier overall way up by doing this and Obvuisly if u get him at 15 , the longer you’ll have to do this. 4- develop and sell the kids that don’t fit into ur system. It’s career mode, it’s ur job to generate money for the club.

  • @ferallemur
    @ferallemur 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +27

You mentioned in the video that you think loans can increase overall more than game time and morale combined, but that it's a little inconsistent. Here's how I believe it works, which might help explain some of the inconsistency.
I believe that there is a natural arc to a players overall that has them achieving certain benchmarks by certain ages, eventually peaking at their max potential. If a player has a potential of 94, then at age 17 they should be at X OVR, at age 18 they should be at Y OVR, at age 19 they should be at Z OVR, etc... If it helps, I like to think of it the same way we talk about child development, where there's an expected "reading level" for students of each grade.
But for a few different reasons, sometimes a player isn't where they should be on that arc. The two most common ones are injury (which not only stops development, but puts it in reverse) and low Youth Academy starting numbers. A lot of YA players (I would argue most) have OVR numbers that are significantly below the expected "reading level" they're supposed to have obtained by their current age. Regardless of their potential, they will never catch up, because like you said, all the game time, morale, and coaches can only do so much in a single year.
Loans put players back on track. It's not that some players randomly get a huge +12 OVR boost and others randomly get a +2; it's that the game just puts them where they're supposed to be on the curve. In a recent save, I wound up with a bunch of YA left backs who all had similar potential and were the same age. One of them was a 63, a couple were 68, one was a 70. They all went out on loan, and they all came back at 71 OVR. Then I looked at the ST who had gone on loan - 71. And the CF who had gone on loan - 71. If you were 19 years old and you just finished a loan spell, you were 71 OVR.
I mentioned injuries. I had a created player (so a potential of 99) who suffered serious injury after serious injury. He went from an 86 to an 83, and lost pretty much a full year of progression, plus the three points of regression. I sent him out for a loan and called him back immediately - 91. This put him right back in front of my other created player, who was slightly younger and had always been about half a point behind in development (until the injuries to the older player).
My experience is purely anecdotal and I don't have data to back this up, but it's pretty easy to test, and I encourage you to do so if you're interested. I don't know if there is a cap (For example, I don't know if a created player at 30 OVR would still come back as a 91 after a loan), and I don't know how it handles players who are ahead of the expected curve (I somehow doubt that creating a 16-year-old with max stats and sending him on loan would result in a regressed player), but it wouldn't be too difficult to find out.
It becomes slightly more complicated because of the "Loan Glitch", which alters potential, and thus will also alter the progression to reach that new potential. And I don't know if there are any other variables that I haven't considered. But the details aren't really important. The key takeaway is that loans aren't about speeding up development so much as about resetting a player to where they're supposed to be given their current age and potential. It's a catch-up mechanism.
So my advice is to send every YA player out for a loan as soon as you get them, and also to loan out players who have missed several months due to injury (it's especially helpful if they're injured in the first half of the season and you can loan them in January, because you can undo the damage before their dynamic potential takes a hit). Get them set to where they're supposed to be, and then develop them from there.

@ferallemur I literally came across this guide while doing a search for this very question. I am playing an English Championship Team, and seem to have offers for my players from bigger or similar clubs (like Premier League clubs or ones not too dissimilar in stats though different national leagues) with enough players, when I am able to research the team (some teams don't have player listings with stats at all). All with players better than, or at least similar level and sometimes so many players in the role in question. Your guide was good but you never went into much details about which loans are good, what to look for, and what to avoid.
Are you saying here not to take loan offers that may be from clubs that are bigger or similar? Or at least have decent enough players to make them surplus. Or does this matter? Also I note you mentioned about loans with offer to buy. Is there a reason to avoid those? Be good if you could make a video guide just for loans actually.

I'll go one further. EVERY team in EVERY league in England (coz the Prem is the biggest league) should have home, away & alternate uniforms for outfield players AND goalkeepers and all fully licensed. @SpartanB269 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

I can't say this with 100% certainty, but I believe that it's tied to a player's form, so for example, say you had 63 overall 17 year year old striker who was played a ton the previous year, had high morale, was in excellent form and bagged tons of goals, if you loan him out at the start of next year, and then either recall them immediately or leave them for a few days and then they'll get the big overall bump, and if you were to loan a player out in September so that they leave in January, and then have them playing really well before they go on loan, they'll get a smaller version of this bump, usually 1-4 plus. If you also have a player that's been sitting in your youth academy for multiple seasons, and then you loan them out, they'll also get a bump as well. Like I said I can't say any of this with 100% certainty as I am not an EA dev, but I play tons of FIFA every year, and I specifically play youth squad only career mode saves and nothing else, so I've experienced this bug/exploit a lot, it's a very useful way to have a young player that's had a breakout season to get a big overall bump the next year, like they would in real life, thought I sincerely doubt EA intended it to work that way.

Can't say for certain about EA24, but I know from some previous FIFAs what I'd noticed was youth players loaned to a team in your league seemed to improve exponentially (if they already had high potential to begin with). I'm still testing this theory out in EA24. So far the few kids I've managed to loan within the same league seem to be following that trend.

In some previous versions of Fifa, people would occasionally find certain specific countries (unlikely ones) that produced a disproportionately larger percentage of high quality players at a certain position. In FIFA 22, for example (which is the version I'm still on), searching for wingers in Estonia consistently produces better results than anything I've seen anywhere else. Beyond the region suggestions you listed, are you aware of any random aberrations like that?

You can’t, I don’t think. Sometimes they are out of position which you can correct by developing, that can boost a players value (I had some +10) but their potential decline remains unchanged as far as I’ve seen

One thing I’ve noticed…is sometimes depending on how good you’re player did if you loan out in January and recall them after saving they might come back +3 or more, same as at the beginning of the next season….when a player loses potential for example for no reason, I’ll send him on loan for example garnacho, recall him and his Value goes up a bit and potential as well….ive recalled a academy player and came back +7, changing positions sometimes will do this too…and even leaving a academy player on loan can increase 7+ for example…it’s a bit weird and inconsistent how it works so this video isn’t much help from what we already knew

@@trench_kid0788 try it…the most recent career mode I did was with Sevilla…I had a RB named Carmona I think…saw he was kinda slow, real face, decent stats overall….decided imma try him as a CAM…it took almost a whole season BUT…I was also playing him in like 75% of the games the whole season….by January his form was excellent and he was happy.. so I put him for loan…he went on loan for about 5 days and overall increased by 4…(this isn’t just a one time thing I’ve noticed) when I recalled him he I make sure his market value percentage goes up (this means his potential increased…sometimes his rating will increase even more when you recall….(it only works ONCE a transfer window with any play under 26 years old who is on excellent form playing a lot of games sent out on loan the next window and recalled) point is Carmona Idek what his potential was went from a 74 ish rated RB to a 85 rated CAM in about 2-3 seasons. I’ve noticed this aswell with Youth players it works the same but they can increase RAPIDLY you just have to basically START them and keep their game rating average high enough to be excellent or good form…then you can loan out and recall whenever you want…. ( I like to think of it as a career mode winter upgrade….its just you have to loan them and then recall for that updated rating….if Carmona for example has scored 30 goals by the time it’s January his form will be excellent, you loan him for maybe a week, maybe his rating increases while he’s on loan, if not as soon as you recall make sure his value % increases and his rating should increase.

It's too bad they can't be bothered to fix all the countries with broken name pools, it's been this way since FIFA 23. Go try to scout the Ukraine, every one is named Kovalenko, Shevchenko or Shevchuk, I know that the name pool for the Ukraine is small, but it's bigger than 3 names. the Netherlands, all of the Slavic countries and all of the arabic language countries are broken as well, with the Slavic and Dutch name pools being some 7 or 8 names each, and with the arabic name pools mixing first and surnames. People have been complaining on the bug report fourm for the past 2 years, and EA hasn't done a thing, it's really ruined career mode for me, as when you have a save and it's later on, it's crappy that all the generated players that have populated teams all seem to be related to each other.
