Options! Always good. I like the regular 20 the best. Better screen design and full power chipset. The dow sides don't bother me. I'd actually rather have the rear fp sensor and face unlock is slower less lesson accurate and less secure. Slower wireless charging is ok since I don't use wireless at all but might someday.

Great video. Really good comparison. Can you confirm if the P20 pro brightness changing issue was fixed? With auto brightness off, everytime you lock the phone the P20 pro would change to 75% brightness. This doesn't happen on the mate 20 Pro so I wonder if it was patched in android 9?

I got it on sale for 260€ i think for normal use this phone is worth it. The display is big with very nice colors so its very good if you want to watch netflix, youtube... Overall it's a great phone for its price.

Makes a "gaming smartphone" that only runs at 1080p thus will only ever run games at 1080p. Meanwhile the "non-gaming" Mate 20 Pro runs at 1440p, thus will run games with better graphics. Just saying.... Stretching a low resolution over a larger surface area does NOT let you see more content or detail. Try running windows in 1920x1080 on a 22 inch and 62 inch monitor and compare. Also, not google play store certified = gaming dead. I mean i live in china, and there are tons of really great chinese games too, but seriously that is ridiculous. No google play store = no buy, even in china many native people use google apps and their store.
Is it really that bad? Nintendo has 720p on the same sized screen (as he said), and it saves battery life to have lower resolution. You are not playing games on Mate 20 Pro (supposedly) that often so the resolution won't matter that much (only if you're heavy user).
You realize he had an unfinished prototype right, the phone had Winter Is Coming written on the back for goodness’ sake and he mentioned it so many times in the video, ofc the final version will have Google Play Store.

mate 20X is great as promised - except for two things, which are important to me: 1. the M pen sucks big time 2. somehow many video playing apps, which are fine with all other phones, can't play short clips without truncating the first second or so

Just saying.... Stretching a low resolution over a larger surface area does NOT let you see more content or detail.
Try running windows in 1920x1080 on a 22 inch and 62 inch monitor and compare.
Also, not google play store certified = gaming dead. I mean i live in china, and there are tons of really great chinese games too, but seriously that is ridiculous. No google play store = no buy, even in china many native people use google apps and their store.
Is it really that bad? Nintendo has 720p on the same sized screen (as he said), and it saves battery life to have lower
resolution. You are not playing games on Mate 20 Pro (supposedly) that often so the resolution won't matter that much (only if you're heavy user).
the reason the play store doesn't work is because that phone is a prototype.. not what the production version would be like.
You realize he had an unfinished prototype right, the phone had Winter Is Coming written on the back for goodness’ sake and he mentioned it so many times in the video, ofc the final version will have Google Play Store.

mate 20X is great as promised - except for two things, which are important to me:
1. the M pen sucks big time
2. somehow many video playing apps, which are fine with all other phones, can't play short clips without truncating the first second or so
