Just wondering with that tongue and grove joining the wings if you could put a couple of bolts to hold them so you can slide them apart for transport and storage. Enjoy your builds
Hi Mark, yes really enjoying watching your build. Making good progress and good workmanship. My Falcon kit has now arrived and am looking forward to getting started on it. I was going to make a 4 stroke engine for this first before commencing the build. However, I am now thinking I might build the plane first to get an idea of a target weight for the engine as, like you, I want a good slow flyer and therefore do not want to add any weight to achieve C of G. Keep up the good work Graham p.s do you have any thoughts on engine size?
should be a good choice mark@@MarkCroucherRC4fun have seen of one being flown with OS FS56 that described 1/2 throttle take off and 1/4 cruising. Weight of that is about 460g and he made comment no lead required. OS FS70 is just bit heavier at 502g so should be a great choice…..totally agree with engine weight over dead weight….
Very nice Mark, always impressed with your craftsmanship. Certainly a big wing plane 👍🏻
Mark that's an interesting wing design from the days before wing tubes. Amazing build, Jeff in LA USA

The intention is that they are only slide together for flying, 8ft wings in the my house would be a nightmare.

I have a 70 fs earmarked for the job Im sure that it will be massive overkill but I would rather have engine weight over lead dead weight.

Quite the construction Mark, how do you plan on keeping the wings from sliding off in flight?
The design doesn't call for anything other than the bands I was considering a nylon bolt through the tongue
Peace of mind if nothing else 🙂
