@Luke1776 thanks for your comment. You don't need to replace the down stream unless you get a fault code for it. It will stay bank 1 or 2, sensor 2. Sensor 2 will always be your down stream Sensor. Look at your exhaust coming from your engine and follow it down. You will see your down stream Sensor after your catalytic converter. It will most likely be near your transmission. Unplug Sensor and use a o2 sensor socket, wrench or 22mm wrench to remove and replace. I hope this helps. Thanks your watching
@castelanlandscaping515 I'm not sure what you mean. 🤔 But if your asking if the replacement procedure is the same then yes. You should be able to take the wheel off and pull the fender liner back to gain better access to the o2 sensor. I hope that helped
@castelanlandscaping515 sometimes they are. It just depends. You have up stream sensors (before catalytic converter) and down stream sensors (after catalytic converter) you don't wanna mix those up or it won't run right. As far as left and right side (band 1 or bank 2) it just depends. In some cases it will be the same part number for both upstream sensors or both down stream sensor. Or they may be different usually due to the length of the wires to reach the connector different from the drivers side to the passenger side. Online for the xterra it says a left and right side so they are probably different length wires. I hope that helps
@GMAZEU why??? There are so many brands out there just pick one. They all do the same job. You go to what ever website you buy carparts from and type in your year- make- model. Then type oxygen sensor and it gives you options at different price points. And you just pick on. Or if that's not your style. You go to the local parts store and tell them the same info and they will walk to the back and get the part you need. What part I decided to use is not important.
Xterras for the win!

@@I_hatecarzwas this sensor upstream or downstream? Do you have a part #? I just got CEL for the same sensor
@charlenec.1177 this is up stream.
Sensor 1 will always be a upstream Sensor (before catalytic converter)
Useful info would have been sensor part number and make....
