Those crabs are huge!!!
If you take both claws I can't see them having much chance of survival
Most of them probably hide but yes
I showed a pic of these crabs to my mom and she said they look like a regular crab that's just really chubby LOL
I would be interested on a modern study of the survival rate after having claws removed. If some bass tournaments report 1/5 fish dying after release I would think its higher for these crabs...
I like your channel and please do Amazon river dolphin
Poor little guys.
After watching this video my desire to eat stone crabs is now in the minus department!

Praise JESUS for creating stone crabs!
I won't eat those claws. They belong on the stone crab That's disgusting!
You are absolutely right it’s complete nonsense that they survive. After having both claws taken off these crabs were not put on earth for us to take their only means of defense and only means of gathering food. The insanity has to stop one day. I don’t know why the state of Florida allows that to take place it must have something to do with the good old boy network, that’s how they run things down there
At the price stone crab claws are sold for it’s probably profitable now to raise them in a controlled environment. When colossal are going for $60-$70 a pound or more you have a lot of meat on the bone to grow them commercially
