I think this zone really clarifies the difference between Disney and Universal these days. Disney's taken about the same amount of time to build a single very short coaster with minimal area theming as Universal has to build an entire themed land with an a-list ride, food, and interactivity. My only concern is that compared to Japanese guests, Americans (especially kids) are really rowdy, and I can't help thinking that they're going to have their hands full keeping all of the interactive elements working once it opens. Thousands of kids just wildly hammering on triggers will take its toll pretty quickly.
Disney have opened Avengers Campus and Galaxy's Edge in the past three years, both of which feature all the extra amenities! You could be right about cultural elements having an impact on the overall experience. Time will tell!
@@ThemeSeekers well, to be fair, Universal has put out more than just Nintendo too, like the absolutely sterling Velocicoaster. I just keep hearing how the Big D is backsliding, their parks less clean and maintained, the abject disaster of Genie+, the list goes on. I'm not sure Iger can fix it... they've lost a lot of people that I think kept the magic rolling, in recent years. Meanwhile Universal is hungry and snapping at their heels. Disney cancels half their Epcot refresh, while Universal builds a whole new park from scratch. Disney needs to be more scared than they are, they can't coast on nostalgia forever...
For the west coast it sounds like universals biggest issue is space. Which is really too bad because I agree it seems like they're doing a great job appealing to an audience that might be looking for something alliterative to the big D
@@dennisellis3605 west coast, yeah... Universal doesn't have a lot of space without eating into their backlot more than they already have. And they can't go underground because of quake risk. Maybe once Epic Universe gets well underway, they'll be able to buy more area around the current park.
Pokemon operates as its own brand and company, but that company is part owned by Nintendo. That link should be enough to secure theme park rights etc. in the future we think!
When are you planning to visit Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Hollywood? 🍄
When I'm not broke
Hopefully opening day if not sometime in April
Hello :)
Enjoy it! 🙂

1:46 Bowser is just simply named “Koopa” in Japan. Which is why the ride’s names are different.
I wish they would’ve added another ride or extra interaction areas since there is no Yoshi ride at this one 😢
Maybe in the future
There likely wasn't enough space to add another ride, but perhaps they can expand further into the film lot in the future!
I think they eventually plan to. This is just the first phase.
Since the land is called super NINTENDO world realistically they can add Pokémon Zelda pacman exc in the future if they wanted too as well
That's probably their plan, though space could be an issue!
Does Nintendo really own the Pokémon IP?
