Cobra Kai is an American martial arts comedy-drama streaming television series and a sequel to the Karate Kid's original movie directed by Robert Mark Kamen. The series was created by Josh Heeld, John Harwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, who repeated their roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence in the 1984 movie The Karate Kid. Thirty-four years later, the Cobra Kai examines the story of "Miyagi Verse" from Johnny's point of view, his decision to reopen the Cobra Kai Karate Dojo, and the resurgence of his old competition with Daniel. The Cobra Kai also plays Xolo Mariduena, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni Dechenzo, Martin Kove, Vanessa Rubio and Peyton List. This series boasts high ratings on both TH-cam and Netflix and has received widespread positive reviews from critics. The third season was also nominated for an "Outstanding Comedy Series" at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards. The first season started on TH-cam Red in 2018 and the second season continued in 2019. After the production of the third season was completed, TH-cam decided to stop producing the original scripted show and leave the show without a house. Netflix acquired the series in June 2020 and released the third season on January 1, 2021. Netflix expanded the series to the fourth season, released on December 31, 2021. The fourth season of the Cobra Kai was released on Netflix on December 31, 2021 and consists of 10 episodes. This series is a direct sequel to the four original films of The Karate Kid franchise, focusing on the characters of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, more than 30 years after the original film. Following the first two seasons on TH-cam, Netflix will release the second season. There are 12 protagonists in the season, nine of which are back from the previous season, two are added to the main cast after being repeated in the previous season, and one is a newcomer to the series that repeats the role from the franchise. Miguel is the neighbor of former karate champion Johnny Lawrence, who convinces Johnny to train him. Miguel helps him to reopen and establish a student base at Cobra Kai Dojo, though he quickly falls into the Cobra Kai mentality of "no mercy". As his attitude shifts, his relationship with Samantha LaRusso falls apart, leading to a dangerous rivalry of his own with Johnny's estranged son, Robby Keene. Their rivalry reaches a boiling point, resulting in Miguel suffering a spinal injury, after getting sent over a balcony and hitting the stairs. When he does awaken from his coma, he is ready to rebuild his life in a healthier mindset. He recruits Johnny's help once again, this time, forming a new dojo away from the merciless teachings of John Kreese. Miguel is caught in the middle of his sensei’s long-standing rivalry with Daniel LaRusso. Despite learning of the rivalry, Miguel gains some respect for and accepts the teachings of Sensei Daniel, as well as repairing his relationship with Sam. Robby is the son of karate sensei Johnny Lawrence and alcoholic Shannon Keene. Initially a troublemaker that broke the rules, Robby began to change his ways when Daniel LaRusso entered his life. He learned discipline, acceptance, and to control the anger within him. He became the first disciple of the new generation of Miyagi-Do Karate and had a blossoming relationship with Daniel's daughter, Sam. His feelings for her led to a bloody rivalry with Miguel Diaz, which came to a head during a brawl at West Valley High. With Miguel now hospitalized, Robby was arrested and sentenced to Sylmar Juvenile Corrections Center for the remainder of his sentence. Robby was left conflicted over who to trust, as Daniel had betrayed him by turning him in, while Johnny favored Miguel. His loneliness left him susceptible to the smooth-talking John Kreese, who recruited him into the newly reinvented Cobra Kai Dojo. Having cut ties with his absentee father and his former sensei, Robby established himself as Kreese’s top student. He learned to lead - and to be ruthless. He became an unlikely mentor to Kenny Payne, though the boy's transformation from a kind boy to a ruthless bully forced Robby to face the ugly truths of Cobra Kai. With nowhere left to turn, Robby reunited with Johnny in hopes of making things better for himself. Robby subsequently made amends with his father, Daniel and Miguel and rejoined Miyagi-Do.

Robby deserves to win the Sekai Takai World Tournament in Season 6, after all that Robby has been through throughout the seasons man, seeing the amazing growth that he has had man, crazy how him & Miguel after all of the seasons are really good friends let alone stepbrothers, so I'm looking forward towards their relationship in Season 6, and hopefully the baby will be born.
I won't lie he's one of the few modern day "daddy issues" characters I actually enjoy
The old Robby would’ve thrown a hissy fit seeing Johnny giving “fatherly” advice to Miguel but now he can calmly joke about it. Great character development.

Both of their arcs leading upto this was so good and I'm so happy to see how much Miguel and Robby have grown this season

It makes a lot of sense. I think seeing Miguel would ob be cool but Robby has learned Traditional Cobra Kai and Miyagi Do plus never won a tournament. It would be the ultimate move for the completion of his redemption arc, which is what this show is all about.
It’d make sense for Miguel to win since he is by far the best of the kid fighters. I mean the only time you could argue Robbie had more skill then Miguel is when Miguel finished recovering from his spine breaking 💀 and even with Robbie knowing cobra Kai and myagi do Miguel still kicked his a*s and now Miguel knows myagi do as well

Yeah Robby was much more likeable this season. Miguel didn't have too many hangups either so their fight in ep 5 was great.
My goodness I was in hysterics this entire video - amazing video btw, idk what the writers were thinking giving Robby the "I like the heat" line and upon rewatching S1 & 2 exactly like you said how is that the same Robby we know and love now it's insane! but he truly is the GOAT, he's been through so much and managed to come out the other side a better person & having everything he's ever wanted, how can you not love that for him!

Ive been a massive fan of the character right from season 1, a lot of people tend to get annoyed at Robby for being mad at his dad i feel like they fail to see things from his perspective and just choose to pick Johnny's side.
I can really relate with Robby and feel like he's the most misjudged character in the whole show, he always ends up taking shit from people but always finds a way to become a stronger person and I hope in season 6 he finally gets his moment and becomes the world champ

I just find it crazy that he got nerfed so hard after losing to Hawk. He seemed unstoppable in S4 until Hawk randomly caught up to him and Robby lost his focus in the match, causing him to lose. Then after that in S5 he just wasn’t the same and started taking more Ls

I'm very happy with how robbys character has come along I appreciate how much care they put into him when in any other show he'd easily stay as an annoying daddy issue baby my fav moment had to go to when in seasom 5 he goes you two have your thing and its whatever to Miguel and johnny it shows how far he's matured
My thing is that for the series finale Robbie wins the World Tournament or it comes to Robbie vs Miguel in the finals like some Ryu vs Ken based finish

Its funny i actually started the ship between hawk and robby in late 2020 it was funny and i made edits of them and actually started a trend to make the ship more popular and it did. There is only like 10 edits of them on insta but even tanner likes there relationship as he said it multiple times

You can't make someone the most detestable character on the show for 2 seasons (seasons 2 and 3) and then just make me like him. He's ok sure but he has a lot of making up to do. I'm rewatching right now and he is absolutely insufferable.
I'm not the biggest fan of Johnny either but this video is about Robby.
Saying robby is the most detestable in season 2 and 3 is a crazy statement.
Especially considering season 2 and 3 had hawk acting like an insufferable ass.

There isn't anything more detestable than neglecting your own son for 16 years then starting a new family with another teenage boy the same age as your son, consistently choosing this boy over your son and ignoring every time he antagonizes you. Then the writers forced an entirely unearned reconciliation without actually addressing any of the underlying issues between them or having Johnny even once putting Robby first or acting in his best interests, all in the hopes that it would make Johnny look like less of a deadbeat. He's okay now but he has a lot to make up for with Robby and that doesn't seem to be his priority. But for most of the show he was insufferable.
