Nice announcement recordings at both stations Aberwystwyth is the only station to have the type of speakers used at East Croydon, Barking and in the past Stratford. Bus replacement was quite an odd one with no recordings of Lampeter. Nice recordings of the new station at Bow Street that opened 2 years ago. I saw a journey video this afternoon on WAG from Chester to Cardiff Central and Glyn and Elin annouce with chimes also they announce delays and delay reason too.
Thanks Jamie, the speakers are branded TOA, who also supply the rectangular horns found on Southeastern, and the boxy looking speakers found at Chester and most Avanti stations
@@Parallel395 There's also boxy speakers at Wilmslow and High Wycombe too. Interesting you know the brand too. Maybe Dawlish has the horn speakers supplied by TOA. Thankfully that speakers at Aberwystwyth doesn't have crackling sounds like Barking.
Apparently at Peterborough they are using Annes Thameslink services to Horshal via 'Central London' which Anne recently recorded the "Central London" part. th-cam.com/video/qIz4fqSAEJ0/w-d-xo.html Jump to 20:40 to hear.
@@jamiehooper5328 Ooh interesting, thanks for sharing. I do want to record at Peterborough some time, I just don't go to the East of the country very often
@@Parallel395 Got some even more news for you so a new voice has been rolled out onboard London Underground Trains on Central, Northern, Waterloo and City and Piccadilly and possibly Bakerloo lines replacing Emma Clarke and Sarah Parnell. W&C line announcement are very rare to hear the new announcer is called Adrian Hieatt. Also Office of Rail and Road has granted approval for Grand Central to stop at Peterborough it's unknown when it will happen.
Not much trains stop at Bow Street
6:12 is interesting
do you know why some announcements don’t state some stations? i always thought they never recorded some stations
I think it’s because they’ve input bus stations as rail stations
Nice Welsh Stations are very nice
