First Session of 2024! RIVER FISHING with the NED in the New Year!

Welcome back and happy new year everyone! It feels great to be back after nearly a full month away from the banks!
I decided today to head back to an old spot on the River Calder in Wakefield today. The river had subsided significantly and returned to its normal colouring which gave me confidence in the possibility of landing a fish! Check out the video to see if we hooked up on our first session back in 2024!

Can you give any advice on how you use it please?

@@TandTFishing I’ve not used one but it work’s similar to a disgorger. Clamp it to the bend of the hook and push while you keep a tight line.

I caught 2 pike on Christmas Day with a lure in each of their mouths with no wire traces on them. I'm guessing the idiots who lost these magnificent and dwindling fish learnt that way of fishing from you. JUST PUT A TRACE ON the pike don't know your lures are for perch only

Bit harsh Rob. 99% of the videos from other anglers (many sponsored and professional) on youtube are fishing with fluorocarbon leaders. I’ve seen many who fish with maggot and worm with no trace also hook up Pike so I would hardly say I’m the one to blame for every lure found in a fishes mouth. I’ll happily take criticism but no need to be rude about it 👍
