- Seeing is believing. Take a look as Framer Paul Lindo installs a Dome Ceiling Kit in less than 5 minutes. Big smiles over here at Archways & Ceilings, he really put the Universal Dome Kit to the test.

Less than 5 minutes... from opening the box to finishing... INCREDIBLE! I want this guy to come work with us! Now we have to try one of these kits!
Awesome!
Great Job and Great Product!
Thank you!
Travail en très Extravaganza
awesome!
You guys are crazy, you started the time when he was opening the box too!
Nathan Dally for sure. Paul Lindo the Framer is super competitive. He mumbles under his breath at the end "I can do it faster!" lol...
I believe we bring a ton of value to the jobsite. If you have a better method then we are all ears. Here are some projects we bring value too instagram.com/archking57/ Mr Cabot if you have any videos or an instagram hit us up so I can follow along on your projects. Thanks!
we had a famous painter flown in from japan and he painted dome frescos on our ceilings.. probably a lot more expensive than this..but impressive for our hotels
He nailed it !
Nice kit~
Thanks!
I do hope that the final dome is glued and secured with true screws and not a few thin nails for cigar boxes...That is just a presentation of how the joinery is precise so no loss of time adjusting.
Love to watch guys work. They actually sell these in a kit?
Excellent
I really like the prefab aspect of this but I will say it is the difference between Ikea and handcrafted furniture you give up a certain amount for ease and convenience.
I should preface this statement by my own background. The first dome ceiling I helped build was in 2005 in Windermere Florida outside of Orlando. As a cutman in those days I would have loved a prefab kit
Just out of curiosity, what's the structural integrity like of these dome ceilings? I don't imagine the ceiling itself would be much of a problem as it's all pretty fairly built and secured with not much weight load. However if someone hung a decent chandelier, or a heavy centerpiece from that I think it would pull to hard on the center corner-stone if you will - and seeing as it's nails holding those together at the top then would it not pull it and possibly bring it down maybe eventually? Maybe only on a rare chance and with the heaviest chandelier but still. Screw's could help a little more but perhaps maybe just a bowl going straight across from Joist to Joist. I think it would be a matter of one extra board for extreme strength which would go sort of like an H resting on the Joist going aross the center of the Dome Kit Center Piece, and be screwed into that solid as well as the Joist on bost sides.
Overkill maybe? just a suggestion but an extra board in the advent of safety in the mere chance isn't a whole lot, maybe just have a set with the extra board for people planning on hanging something from the dome.
PrecisionTaping .
The dome is extremely strong. The downward force is spread over the rafters and transferred to the ring. Not included in this video but maybe we will post down the road, Paul Lindo (Framer) jumps on top of the dome tie after he is finished installing it. It doesn't budge one bit.
We do believe in piece of mind though and you can easily run a beam over the center for added support. See dome example instructions here www.archwaysandceilings.com/videos_pdfs/dome_install.pdf
*Steps 3 to 5
Thanks for Comment! I hope this helps
Take an extra 5 minutes and use screws... I know that's 5 minutes longer but it would be stronger.
There might be a few people in Australia who would also be interested
awesome
Screws sound like the way to go. All that over head hammering, as much fun and as such a good workout as it is, seems like it would be pretty difficult. Could you get the whole dome assembled on the floor first and then press it up into place to nail it off?
I can build a car in less than 10 seconds with the "build a car kit". The kit includes a Car & Keys. Step 1. Unlock door with key. Step 2. Start car. FINISHED IN UNDER SECONDS!
+CentralNintendo1 hahhaahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhaaahhaahhahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahah
Brother it's good and can u help me how to take dome sizes
hahaha how long did it take to build the hole to exact dimensions ahahahha
weapons of mass construction
I actually had this discussion today! lol.
I'm going to find out on Wednesday when I install mine and I will report back here and let you know!
Still waiting for that report...
how you going to keep it from leaking since window is lower than roof?
ok its not a window ! lol
Pretty cool system, so those are let in on the sides? Can you use a framing fun on those or are screws better so they won't blow though
we don't do the holsters anymore for the domes (let in on the sides). Install with a framing gun or you can use a trim nailer. Screws are fine too but it takes longer to install
well done. you assembled a fuckin dome kit!!!!
+garry sexton ha. Still 4 minutes and 58 seconds. Takes guys longer to suit up for the day.
You already buy it soon. Here in Brazil they do not manufacture to sell.
Wish I could see the final product

Necks and shoulders everywhere will thank you!
It doesn't start until 1:38, cos that's when he picked up the first piece!
Hahaha! Watch the video? It went surprisingly smoother than I thought!
hey those LVLs dont have any joyce hangers on them yet
The only question I have is why did you install the kit on the bottom of the ceiling joist rather than the top? Ingenious.
You want the dome to be flush with your interior ceiling. Example Pics: www.archwaysandceilings.com/photo-gallery/dome-ceilings/
You can use a screw gun with wood screws as well. Probably easier than using a hammer for this sort of thing. But you saw how fast it assembles. It's not going to be a huge time difference if you use a hammer!
Buy one and try it out yourself ;)
Where can we find a price list and order this? How do we get Paul Lindo down here? Yeah!
Price list is on our website www.archwaysandceilings.com .... Paul Lindo would be smiling ear to ear if he saw your comment. He does take a lot of pride in doing great work.
Archways & Ceilings Made Easy : Make sure Paul see our comments! Will check out price list on website. Thanks!
is there something better than a finnish nailer to hang these with. the structural integrity seems to be hinged on 15 or 16 gauge finnish nails doesn't seem that it would hold a 200 lb chandelier without cracking over time has this been tested ? or do you have reviews of previous customers who have had this over several years ?
We have been manufacturing prefab'd archways & ceilings since 1988. We have never had an issue. *Installation instructions of the dome ceilings does show securing the dome tie to a support. This should help ease your concern. See step 5 www.archwaysandceilings.com/videos_pdfs/dome_install.pdf
I hope this helps. Thanks for watching
You should see the picture of my 280 pounds standing on top of one
до первого торнадо точно простоит.
Good....
Where does the rain go?
Not glue..?....
вы напишите скока времени ета надо было зделатть ане собрать етот конструктор.если толька не робот ета зделал.
OOOKKAYY. I guess this is for an interior accent?
Where is the glue
Can this be used for outside use with glass over it ??
no.
Have you considered marketing to churches as well? From what I have seen, your products would be of great interest to smaller churches, especially Orthodox Churches (we love domes...), who wish to employ domes and vaults into their buildings but have a low budget.
I could have finished the ceiling in 4 minutes and 57 seconds but it looks nice though
How much time swinging a hammer? I don't have a nail gun.
i Got mine down in 1 minute and 23 seconds this guy is too slow
is that house built on grass?
where does the rain water go ahahahahaa
why would i want a dome inside a house
Luar biasa
syner.👍👍👍
We are building a house, and I just found this. My dad loves it, but theres nothing like this here in Germany. Can I order it? Do you guys are able to make a shipping to Germany Dortmund?
best regards
I apologize, but at this time we are only able to ship products to the United States and Canada. Thanks.
Archways & Ceilings does that include Puerto Rico?
Badarrius Partlow no. Unless you have a contact that ships from the US to Puerto Rico we are not set up to ship there.
+Archways & Ceilings Curious; Did you guys sort out overseas shipping...E Bay and Amazon have the systems in place for you to do it...It takes some off the profit but the market overseas is EXPLODING! Builder for 25 years...I smiled watching Lindo kicking ass! Nice product!
godbluffvdgg interesting. I am definitely going to look into Amazon today. Thanks for the info!
I would do it in 3 min. !!! ;o)
Germfried Weber maybe faster
He can build the whole house by himself in a day.
Shouldn't the ring to be even with the top edge of the square frame? Hmmmmm....
Hey bro! It did work! You can assemble the whole dome and then lift into place! Check out the latest video on my channel! ;)
Opl
С этим справился бы и ребенок )) This could be done by a child =)
