can we do this same test on nylon? also let me know how to find out the IV. value after running this experiment. I.V value would be on the screen or need to calculate from equation?
    please let me know
    Thanks

    good evening,
Please note we are facing some IV variation on pet pellets.
We took sample from cooler, that IV was 0.823, then after we took same sample from bag and kept in oven with 160 degree for 4 h and recheck its IV , which came 0.724.
    how is it possible?

hi , this is Kent, we are the viscometer manufacturer, and I am very interested in your trouble. kindly share why put the PET in the oven at 160 degree? if the sample is suspected moisture content. then put the oven 105 degree, 2 hours.

@@HangzhouZonwonTechnologyColtd Hi, should we use vacuum oven or only drying oven?
I also want to know if it's possible to use resin that has been tested using moisture analyzer to tested using MFI tester? Thanks before

This is not IV measurement, but MFR... IV is completely different.

The LMI contains a formula that determines IV from MFR

I would disagree and know people that have correlated rPet IV between solution viscosity and a LMI/plastometer. If a LMI can correlate to the laboratory standard of solution viscosity results for recycled materials then I’d say it’s good enough for industry.

And additional materials could be correlated if you took the time to characterize the materials between a LMI, LCR and solution viscosity. It comes down to accuracy, what’s “good enough” and what time you want to invest in your process.

Perhaps the most boring video I've ever seen. Unless I am watching a beautiful woman posing, I need some sound. 😀
