- Museum of the American Revolution opens in Philadelphia
After years in the making, the Museum of the American Revolution has opened its doors in Philadelphia.
The museum hopes to show a side of the war, also known as the American War of Independence, rarely found in textbooks.
Al Jazeera's Gabriel Elizondo reports from Philadelphia.

Red coats at beginning were American musicians. They wore red. Amazing journalism.
"The regular Continental soldier wore a blue coat with red cuffs. Musicians, on the other hand, wore a red coat with blue cuffs. The red made them stand out on a battlefield where visibility was limited. It also made them stand out to the enemy, so if they were discovered, it was immediately clear that the small figure ahead was a musician - unarmed and not a threat (drummers were considered noncombatants)"
I’ve been several times and almost did an internship for my revolutionary America seminar. I didn’t get to so I did it at the David library of the American Revolution in Washington’s Crossing
Uh yeah, we are going to need another one of those soon.
why?
History = His story
“History would be a wonderful thing - if it were only true.”
― Leo Tolstoy
fun fact: people in that era moved to get freedom, not like today, where social benefits is the number 1 reason for migration...
I'd love to visit and see what's in the museum, but I'm too scared to enter the US with Trump in office. 👩🏻
Mia Djojowasito be afraid be very afraid.... I sometimes hear that if you are not white and enter the US, trump sends a hit squad to your hotel room. True story.
He'll probably will put you in the White House Dungeon where he occasionally puts the First Lady when she misbehaves.
