I just ordered a set of these hurricane headers for my 92. Glad to hear they fit nicely, I feared that the steering column may interfere and require modification to the headers. I'm also looking at a eaton m112, hopefully all goes well. Your car looks and sounds great! Nice work
My issue was contact from one of the manifold tubes to the steering shaft. It only happened whenever i turned right at a high rate of speed. That was with new megan racing engine mounts which was still too soft for my driving. I resolved the issue with the stiffest polyurethane engine mount from Xcessive (orange bushing) i suggest replacing the mounts while you're down there just to get it knock off the bucket list if it's not done yet.
Fitment was good. I don't have an egr on my year of sc400. I'm also using xcessive motor mounts to keep the engine more rigid so when turning hard, the steering shaft doesn't make contact to the headers.
@@saeturn29 I have a stock 93 sc400 would I have any issues with the headers. Play on deleting the egr and installing bc racing coils 2in drop max and Megan racing suspension kit. Any tip for the headers installation
@@Yash-jo8hv if you order the hurricane headers for the 1uz. Soarer, it should fit the sc. The only issue I had was as mentioned in prior comment and that was how I resolved it. I suggest replacing the motors mounts and exhaust manifold gasket (oem only) while you're doing all that.
I don't think they will seeing that these were made specifically for the Z30 chassis. If you or someone you know who can fabricate then it can be modified to fit the LS

Your steering shaft may rub when you turn right really hard. I resolved this issue with polyurethane motor mounts from xcessive. Custom exhaust is required or if you uave aftermarket then you will need to modify the mid section to make things work. Cons, you lose low end torque. Pros, you gain mid to peak range torque and it completely changes the cars behavior. Keep in mind that mine is a 98 model with the higher output vvti 1uz rated from 290hp-300hp
I got mine from bestmufflers.com Install was straight forward. I had more difficulty removing the factory stud nuts then the actual install. I suggest doing motor mounts and transmission mounts all at the same time to get those issue squared away. Other than that it's just a matter of taking your time doing it right
@@TheFozzcast you will need either custom exhaust like i did or modify your existing ones to pair them up. I'm not sure if the factory system will fit given that the headers main collector to mid pipe will be bigger and longer than the stock location flanges
bestmufflers.com and they come with O2 bungs but are two bolt flange which was made for soarer v8 and not usdm sc400 so you will have to weld your own into place or modify it with a M18X1.5 threaded bung to accept your application.

Yes they're direct fit with no issues, you will have to build your own exhaust after the install because your factory setup will no longer be relevant

@@JohnnySoFresh143 ues I'm running with o2 sensors, no tune. The cel can be kept off if you shim the o2 sensors enough.
What cats are you using?
