Last sunday in des Vosges, I missed a small boar at 5 metres, I think I need an aimpoint.
Don’t feel bad. I missed a stationary rabbit 🐇 that was maybe 2 metres max away. It’s the close shots that myself and a lot of others neglect to practice.

Less recoil. It does not punch you away from the the target so much. Also : new bullet technology makes the 270 bullets work better on wild boar than in the old days.

Great video, but why is the Frog shooting 9.3x62? He's hunting boar at 100m (ish), not Gemsbok or Eland at 500m. 6.5mm-8mm is perfectly adequate.
It might be overkill but when your attempting to humanely kill an animal, I don’t think that bigger is a bad option. It’s a different story when your intentions are to eat that animal though.

The 9.3x62 is a slow and heavy slug, and very common for boar shooting here in Germany, because it transfers a lot of energy due to its size, but isn't very expensive and has little recoil (or rather, more pleasant recoil, it shoves, rather than kicks, it#s more comfortable than most .30-06). It is basically unshootable past 150m because it drops so much. The calibre you might be thinking of is the 9.3x64, which is similar to the .375 H&H in ballistics.

Very often they have to hunt in an estate or protected area where all shooting takes place on 1 day in the year. Different countries, different rules, different laws.
You need skills for that hunt buddy ... quick eye quick Finger nice flow so please sit down ... with your bored ass hunt
It is called a driven hunt. Different style, different skills needed, but not any less valid than tracking and then putting a bullet on a still target.
