    Gameplay explained is a series of FPS gameplay in which I try to explain the various skills, decisions and best practices you may want to master to start winning more games. I try to explain how I win fights, beat noobs and survive against pros. The point of these guides is to show in real-time what differences there are between experienced players and casuals.
    Apex Legends is a battle royale game based in the Titanfall universe that's defined by squad battles emphasizing teamwork and use of a unique pinging system.

    Exactly what I needed. I started playing shooters on PC last December and I still feel like my aim is so inconsistent. I can hits my shots really well and laser 40% of the time, and turn into a potato the remainimg 60% of the time, which is a death sentence in skill based lobbies. I hope you upload the full guide soon.

    • @Josuh

      How's it going now?

    • @xcurrentbreeze6626
      @xcurrentbreeze6626 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Josuh I don't play consistently, so not that well.
      Whenever I play consistently, I still feel like a potato for a week or two, but after that period, I can focus so well on enemies and l laser enemies. When I have good aim, I can start focusing on other things like using cover and entering and exiting 1v1s intelligently. Having good aim is a really good feeling.... but then I stop playing consistently, and all that hard work goes out the drain and when I return, I have potato aim again.
      I'd recommend you aim train every other day for an hour (aim training every day was too boring for me and felt like a chore), and play whatever shooter you like EVERY DAY, even if it's only 30 minutes, but preferably for an hour every day. If you play consistently, then over time, your skill will improve. But in my case, every time I stop, I have trouble focusing on enemies. Aim training helps a lot to make me stop seeing enemies as blur on the screen, and instead actually see the enemies movements and tracking/flicking to them.
      Also, my movement is shit. I never took movement too seriously in Apex, so it's really lacking and I'm going to have to start working on it too.
      So in conclusion, I've seen how good of a player I can be if I play consistently. The trick to good aim is playing the game consistently, aim training (you might not need it, but aim training is extremely critical for me to help me stop seeing the enemies as blurs on the screen and just panic shooting them, and instead, actually track their movement and shoot them), and lastly, you need good lifestyle habits so you can focus and use your reflexes - so do the usual advice: sleep well, eat well, exercise and your mind will be much more sharper and focused.

    Back before I took a break from video games in general, I was pretty good at tracking and then when I came back something felt off. I always thought it was my strafe or lack of movement turns out it was my tracking.
    I had learned all of the recoils but I was missing my shots because my tracking wasnt as on target as it used to be.
    Thanks coach!

      He usually don't do that much of pro reviews unless he can take something out that is useful for even the average gamer... Most of aceus best games are a show of insane mastery of the game mechanics or 300 iq plays...
      It would end up being an appreciation of the clip instead of being instructional... That's what I feel... But he has put several videos that individually show some of the best techniques pros use (like the shiv and ras reviews)...

    The games where my random teammates are on the same wavelength as me are so easy. I get like 6 to 10 kills with 2.5k+ DMG.
    And the other games I do shit because i'm expecting my team to follow-up on my play, and they never do. I even use the ping "i'm attacking here". And then I down an enemy, and bring another enemy to 1 health before I get downed.
    And when I look at where my team is, they are sitting 100m away behind a door or on a roof... Like c'mon...by the time you get there, they will be all healed up, looted my box, or ran away. Or they never revive when they can(e.g. enemy ran away to heal) and instead they both rush in a building the enemy caustic is holding with traps...
    You only need one to shoot at the enemy while the other member can revive.(in most situations). And if I don't want them to revive me, i say through the Mic "just fight it out"
    And especially the two premades who obviously are in party chat, ignoring me(the solo), and never agree that my rotation or call could be better, and they instead run off in another direction, and we get 3rd partied because they have bad rotations/tunnel vision on kills.
    Or when I down a full squad, and I'm reviving both of my teammates, and they don't heal up first but start looting boxes instantly, not giving me a chance to restock on Ammo/heals. And then the 3rd party arrives and they still haven't healed up...while I can't find Ammo in the boxes.. I could literally write a book about this shit that annoys me... Sigh, playing with randoms in platinum/Diamond is frustrating... Sorry for the rant, but I feel better now that it's off my chest. Anyone else having these experiences?
    Edit: if you are high platinum with +2 KD, and play on Belgium or Amsterdam server on PS4, let me know if you want to team up.

    • @coachnihil6969
      @coachnihil6969  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's my pleasure!
      You can be a bit more aggressive in your casual games if you want to work on your mechanics, especially if you rotate fast but take your fights slow and smart. That's a great way to practice, make it a goal to stay alive as long as possible in a fight even if your teammates are slow or not very helpful. It challenges you to think for yourself and understand your situation and surroundings, teammates included.
      The challenge of having to rely on your own skill can really help you improve and grow if you try hard to stay alive and fight smart without running away. I practice 1v3ing a lot even if I die, it makes me better.
      Sorry for the long answer as well but great question haha, hope you have an awesome day :D

      That maneuver won him a fight with no damage to himself, there's no reason to not do that.

      It makes no sense. Pathfinder was apparently a bigger crutch for people than I thought he was :/

  • @ethandonnelly1973
    @ethandonnelly1973 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Seeing alotta people talk about pathfinder being dead now because of his nerf and I honestly dont get it.
    Mobility like the grapple is an extra bonus, it opens doors to doing things others cant but if you're completely dependent on it you're just using it like a crutch.
    People saying they literally cant play path now makes me so confused, what were they doing to need grapple twice in 30 seconds? How badly outta position were they for that to be a neccessity?
    Any thoughts on that coach? It doesnt make sense to me, especially after managing two wins after a couple months absence, the grapple nerf really didn't impact me alot unless I made a dumb mistake like giving up high ground prematurely and that's my issue.

      By practising one thing at a time!
      It's humanly impossible to track all the things you could learn at once. You want to practice something small (like strafing, cover usage or something else) until that's very easy and natural. Then you add the next step you want to practice. Eventually you can do it all without thinking about it 😊

    • @coachnihil6969

      Flicking! For any lead point weapon (outputting a lot of damage per shot but slowly) flicking and crosshair placement are the way to go. I tracked her here because she was running in a straight line so it was easy for me, but generally you flick with the wingman and PK :)

    Hi coach, I’m so happy to find this gem of a Chanel. Thanks for the tips. I started playing rank lately and got my ass handed to me and I was having a terrible week with apex. But after binging like 2 hours of your videos. Something just stuck me and I realized how dumb I was and why I getting my ass handled. The thing was proper use of cover and proper timing to bail a fight. Yesterday I had a 13 kill ranked game in gold and I killed the whole champion squad and the kill leader. I know it’s not too great but thanks for the tips. God bless ✌️

    Are you using the colorblind settings for the yellow sites or just because you're colorblind? I've heard that the yellow sites can give you an advantage because it's clearer. Also, what do you think of antialiasing? Do you think it adds input delay? I can't decide whether to use it or not.

    • @coachnihil6969
      @coachnihil6969  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I use it for the clearer reticles and ironsights, I've found it a lot nicer than the blurry larger red dot but it's not for everyone. I use anti-aliasing myself atm cause it makes it a little easier to spot enemies for me, I used to play without it though and havent noticed any major difference so far

    This is really helpful! But I have one problem, my mousepad is really small. I have 1 sensitivity, 800 dpi and sometimes when i'm shooting while tracking my mouse goes over the mousepad and thus my cursor stops and sometimes I die because of that. Should I raise my sensitivity a little bit to compensate for that?
    Buying a new mousepad is not really an option right now because of the lockdown and I really like my current sensitivity but it really gets in the way sometimes. What do you think?
