I loved your discussion on sort of the reason for reading larger books and stuff in your video, well thought out.

Glad you enjoyed it. Will you be reading any big books in March? Any mammoths?

You have inspired me to read Eight Life. Thank you! The Biggest book on my virtual shelf (a Kindle) is Zibaldone by Giacomo Leopardi. My version is 3300 pages.

I am really enjoying The Eighth Life which I hope to finish this week. For March of the Mammoths I have chosen Paul Auster’s 4321. I like your arguments for mammoth reading 😊

Glad you are enjoying Eighth Life, I hope to be reading it in March. I haven't read any Paul Auster, usually I find big books a little daunting.

I appreciate all that you said here, but I am in the stage of my life when taking on a big book does not appeal to me. Though I do have a mammoth I’m thinking of at least starting.

I only managed two books over 800 pages last year, they are a bit daunting, when I started Booktube I was reading Dombey and Son, which made it awkward talking about what I was reading as it took a long time to finish. Now I read around three books at a time, so if I am making sluggish progress on one I can talk about the others. And what pray tell is the mammoth you are considering?
