    You always use nice fertilizers and plant food. Have you ever tried making fertilizer with banana peels and things like that? I've never personally tried it. I did use the milk thistle as a fertilizer. I've noticed the plants look healthier and have nice leaves.

      I took a five gallon bucket, put weeds that I pulled up in it, and filled it with water. Let it ferment then used that as a fertilizer. Last year I took banana peels and molasses together and let it ferment, then used it like fish emulsion.

    Did you start your onions using seeds or onion sets? I have a few growing but they are taking so long. We put them in last fall using onion sets. I may have done something wrong. I don't know. Trying to learn the best way to plant onions so I can reap a harvest.
