I have a 50 year old recipe that cant be beat! I just popped mine in the oven which is why I'm here just to check out what other recipes for kugel look like. Mine hands down beats every recipe here! Cottage cheese, sour cream, sugar, egg yolks, melted butter, after the ingredients besides the cottage cheese and sour cream are mixed, add to cooked noodles that have been mixed with cottage cheese and sour cream, the egg whites are beaten to semi stiff but not too soft peaks then folded into noodle mixture. More melted butter gets poured on top. I didnt have raisins, sadly but when its baked, it puffs up, its custardy and the peaks of noodles get browned to a toffee like taste and this recipe is soooo good! If you're watching cholesterol, skip this dish because you shouldnt skip the butter, its essential to this dish.
I have had noodle kugel before and absolutely love it. I would love to make this three cheese sweet noodle kugel one day. Thanks Jamie for being such an inspiration!
We LOVE KUGEL.... but potato kugel the most.... noodle cheese Kugel reminds me of my grandmas Mac and cheese so hey, that’s a good thing! Shalom from Kitchener Ontario 🇨🇦.... thinking of your family in Israel ... hope all is well ☮️
Hi again Jamie... WOW ~~~ THIS LOOK SUPER DELISH. I had the pleasure of meeting Norene a couple of times. She is an amazing lady and cook. And her cookbooks are amazing too. Thank you so much for sharing this scrumptious looking dairy kugel. Have a fun day. Surie
@@jessicawinter9531 I personally would cut the sugar in half, no cornflakes. Dot the top with butter only. Lithuanians do not like sweet. My dad's parents were from Vilna.
I use cream cheese, sour cream, cottage cheese 4 eggs. Some sugar, cinnamon for my apple kuggle or pinable kuggle Lady's at shul call me kuggle master. I just learn how to make it last year
1. there's nothing uniquely jewish or kosher about this pudding it's too cloyingly sweert for most palates it's a bit too heavy on the fat & soft carbs - if the heart attack doesn't get you, the diabetes will
Never had kugel but addicted to The Marvelous Mrs Maisel so I am keen to taste.Yummy ! Namaste

Totally soul food, is your Oma's similar?
There are people like me, who don't like cottage cheese, so can we use an alternative like Ricotta?..Thanks
ricotta adds a sweet flavour that cottage cheese doesn't. maybe try a mix of sour cream and dry cottage cheese?
Oh yes, I love this lady and I was wondering if you have ever had the author of The Moosewood cookbook on before? She’s really neat too ( like you)! 😉
Not yet!
Is this a dessert? Or can it be a sidedish ?
This is a side dish
there are dessert versions that include cinnamon and raisins, but this one isn't that.
Shalom friends! I am just wondering if this could be made without the sugar and still be good??? Anyone know?
I say it both

Written recipe says 4 oz cheese (one cup) typo?
Says margarine and butter. Which one?
It's 4 ounces by weight, when you measure by cup it's not as exact but it's around 1 cup, not tightly packed. It should be butter
How much pasta?
Hi there! You'll need a 12 ounce package of egg noodles.
No raisins?
