Do you ever feel like your garden looks too busy? I think that sometimes with my own garden and other times I think I think it looks gorgeous and I could add some more plants.
Ooohh! I’ve been waiting for this! I started watching the one from 2023 again a few weeks ago to scratch the itch😂. I’m super new to gardening and these are so helpful to see what to expect from the plants you have over the season. ❤❤❤
I have watched your garden evolve I think almost from the very beginning. I looks absolutely gorgeous Danniele. You are so talented. Can't wait to see what comes next.
Hi Danielle! Thank you for this inspirational winter video! Have you found that the arctic rose foxglove is in fact a reliable perennial? I love all your videos!
I'm British and you have interesting and colourful borders. A bit too many daffodils maybe. I have a mixed herbaceous border, 200 feet long backed by a high wall and fourteen feet wide, perennials, annuals and bulbs. Maybe I'm odd but I never cut any of the flowers. It ruins the look. I never could see the point of cut flowers in a vase as they only last a few days. I also design gardens for people here in England.
I love Lily of the valley, but they take over the world so sorry I planted them in a flower bed where I have other flowers. They are hard to get rid of.I would only plant them under shrubs in a garden where they can't go anywhere else if I could start again
Danielle - which year was the year long garden tour video that you posted a few weeks ago. Was that one 2023 and this one 2024? (no doubt it's just me missing something).
Hi friend! Sorry to be confusing! We’ve been having crazy cold weather so I’ve just been making compilation videos until the snow melts. This one is from 2023 and the other one is 2024. I hope you have a great day!
@@NorthlawnFlowerFarmandGardens I was watching an older video of yours of late blooming tulips you planted and you mentioned maybe not planting late ones again...if I heard that right. I noticed the timing was in May? They look like double tulips. I'm in zone 7b...not much warmer. My front flower beds, where I plant my tulips (going on my 2nd year), has been stressful. Our beds are South (side) to West facing (front) with no shade. I decided to only purchase mid, mid-late and late blooming tulips since last year they were planted beginning of December & started surfacing in February and in full bloom before mid March. I did have about 100 of late blooming Mentons that bloomed mid April...whew! This year, they were planted 12/13. I pre chilled them from October til planting. They started surfacing 3 weeks later. Even after having below freezing temps for almost a month. It's been frustrating since I expect them to surface in Spring..not winter. My landscaper said he planted them 5" inches deep so my thought is they are not getting planted deep enough to keep them cool enough due to all the sun exposure and heat we get in those beds. LOVE your channel! Even though gardening can be stressful to me... I'm now addicted at 60 years old...LOL! Watching your channel helps me de stress so thank you.
Hi, Danielle!! I've been very very busy, and I've missed you! I skipped to the garden lessons section--they're definitely lessons--and I have to say that your garden is beautiful, but I know what you mean. And I know what your realtor meant! A lot of people would be afraid of your garden because it's so professional looking. You could ameliorate that by bringing the back garden forward, thereby reducing the footprint and at the same time making room for composting (it kills me to think about having to pay $25). I can't exactly remember now, but I think you've added evergreen shrubs to the front garden (driveway garden), and I'd continue to do that while reducing your footprint in the back. That area next to the house has always bothered me honestly, but driveway work can be very expensive, so when you decide you're ready to sell, you could address that then. My issue isn't height, it's size. I buy too many plants and cramps them in. I can't help myself, it's a kind of addiction. Now I can't wait for spring 💚
Walking with you through your gardens is also like walking through an aviary! Loves listening to all the birds in your area.
Such a wonderful way to spend a winter Saturday morning. Thank you.
Beautiful garden 😍😍😍

What does it mean when you say you pinched your flowers I've never heard that term?
❤️❤️❤️❤️🌹
