Every time.. it's so funny... but listen, we put dough in a BIG BOWL, because we know it grows. This is the problem with following instructions blindly, - even if you only think that you are following it correctly, - because one can SENSE it clearly that that amount won't fit into that jar (once it's risen). It's actually a great metaphor for life, - especially for the past few years. Sitting in a car totally alone with you know what on. Astounding! Common sense must lead the way no matter what you THINK they tell you or read for that matter.. ♡♡♡ xx..

I learned a trick from Jaime Oliver on parchment paper. Crumple it up in ball and wet it under the faucet. Give it a shake and then push it into the pan. It lays down so easily. I thought of this when you were making the apple cake.
I just wanted to mention sour dough starter can gunk up your pipes over time. You want to wipe off excess with paper towel or something and throw away when cleaning up. Leave only a minimal amount on the dishes you’re washing, use some soap, and then wash in sink. When starter dries it’s like cement 😮. My pipes are super clogged now because I didn’t learn this until recently and I’ve been doing starter for about two years.

I found the easiest way to thread curtains onto those two-part, shallow U shaped rods is to look at how the straight sections join and then to pull them apart. Then easily thread the curtain onto the larger/outer straight section, then just slide the smaller/inner straight section back into place and space the fabric out as desired. So no fighting to get around that "elbow" at each end. Have a great day!

Agree. The fewer buttons and gadgets, the longer the life of the appliance. I only remember my mother having one frig, washer and dryer and vacuum cleaner. Old time things didn't use plastic parts. I love your videos. Keep them coming!

I love your videos. I saw you pegging your baking paper to keep it in the container. Do you know that if you cut baking paper to size then scrunch it up, when you open it up again it will fit into your container really easily and sit better in all the corners etc. Its a simple hack that works brilliantly. x

Clipping clothespins on the loaf pan to hold the parchment paper open: brilliant!
You can also use the metal binder clips for paper - you can leave them right on the pan while baking!

Agree. The fewer buttons and gadgets, the longer the life of the appliance. I only remember my mother having one frig, washer and dryer and vacuum cleaner. Old time things didn't use plastic parts. I love your videos. Keep them coming!

You always make homemaking look so effortless even though I know it isn't. You're just good at figuring out what works for you and your family. Don't you just hate it when you walk into a room and forget why you came in the first place. Lol. I was actually looking for my car keys one day while in a hurry to get out the door, plus I had several things in my arms. I was getting frustrated that I couldn't find my keys. I happened to bump into the counter and heard a jingle. I was holding them the whole time. DUH!!! I guess that's a lesson in slowing down. Lol. Have a great weekend ❤❤❤.

I've only made sourdough starter once, and could see yours was wrong form the beginning. The starter needs room in the jar to grow. But we all learn from our mistakes. Now you are on the right track ! Thanks for sharing 🥰🍃🍂🍁👻🎃

I love your videos. I saw you pegging your baking paper to keep it in the container. Do you know that if you cut baking paper to size then scrunch it up, when you open it up again it will fit into your container really easily and sit better in all the corners etc. Its a simple hack that works brilliantly. x
