I'm completely with you: the simpler things are, the better they function (fewer possibilities for problems). ;) And I think most people with working experience for example in the kitchen, will think the same! 😅
I found the easiest way to thread curtains onto those two-part, shallow U shaped rods is to look at how the straight sections join and then to pull them apart. Then easily thread the curtain onto the larger/outer straight section, then just slide the smaller/inner straight section back into place and space the fabric out as desired. So no fighting to get around that "elbow" at each end. Have a great day!

I learned a trick from Jaime Oliver on parchment paper. Crumple it up in ball and wet it under the faucet. Give it a shake and then push it into the pan. It lays down so easily. I thought of this when you were making the apple cake.

Agree. The fewer buttons and gadgets, the longer the life of the appliance. I only remember my mother having one frig, washer and dryer and vacuum cleaner. Old time things didn't use plastic parts. I love your videos. Keep them coming!

You’re mentioning the cooktop that you have. Take a look at KitchenAid cooktops. You can find ones that do not have two large burners right next to each other. They spaced them so that the larger ones are right next to the smaller ones.

I find if you fold the tea towels up straight after drying then there's no need to iron, plus it's better for the environment no need for electricity! In fact I rarely iron anything at all..

Noemi I’ve never made starter but I’ve seen lots of people make it on You Tube and I knew you were making waaay too much! 😂 One time I put too much butter/shortening in my chocolate chip cookie dough and they turned into soup all over the baking sheet! 😅 Anyway I’m sure your sourdough turned out delicious! 🍞😋🤗

It needs a place for the gasses to escape.

Good morning! Yes it goes fast and I can put them into the dishwasher. I use that handy wide funnel. When I first started to use jars I put lettuce in the glass jar and it seemed like it stayed fresh longer. Then I started to notice that with other food too. So I'm guessing the same applies to the pantry items and it doesn't absorbs the smell of the food. I think it's definitely a healthier option. Plus I can use them for multiple other occasion. 😃💗
