    The police should have been focused on the Serbian hitman theory right from the start. It was pretty obvious that Barry George wasn't bright enough to have carried out the attack and got away with it without making silly mistakes.

      Does Barry George have such a low IQ as he has portrayed to the public? Pictures of him dressed in dark clothing wearing a mask and pointing a gun at the camera are not normal. George is an oddball who has stalked famous women. I have worked with vulnerable adults for 25 years and I am no longer shocked or surprised at the things they have done.

      "Using the name Steve Majors, he claimed to be a stuntman and convinced a stadium to stage a show in which he would jump over four double-decker buses on roller skates; he injured himself attempting this stunt"
      "In the early 1980s he appeared in a local newspaper claiming to be the winner of the British Karate Championship; he was exposed as a fraud by another newspaper"

    This has to be one thee most saddest cases on crimewatch uk, the tragic untimely death of Jill Dando, in 1999, none of it made any sense at the time, and it still doesn't, 1 man who was entirely innocent of such a dreadful crime, Barty George spent so many years before he got a retrial, and his conviction was overturned, there are so many conspiracy theories as to who actually killed her, and why, but I find it strange how the police CAN'T or won't solve this case 21 years later, R.I.P Jill Dando, gone but not forgotten.......🙏🙏🙏

I'm guessing you have watched Richard D Hall's excellent investigation into Jill Dando's murder, if you haven't I would checked it out as it's very well researched. it's called Kill Jill. Interestingly they hounded Barry George with the Rachel nickel murder before hounding Colin stagg too. Which we now know were both innocent, I truly believe Barry George was trying to get an alibi for the Jill dando case because he knew they'd hound him again. By doing so , it gave the investigation team a reason. He stalked women but I truly believe Jill's killer was definitely known to her. It's all in the reconstruction. Timing , and her engagement and wedding coming up.

    Jill Dando was murdered by British Security Services . The BBC Crimewatch program shows this in the reconstruction of her death . Firstly the surroundings are corrupted , lots of men in the area wearing suits with mobile phones . All very similar but slightly different , some wearing glasses or jackets , some running seemingly attracting attention . But none of them come forward to clear themselves of suspicion and thus aid the enquiry . Now I would know where I was on a certain day like this as it was so memorable .
    One thing for certain is , it wasn't Barry George . He was a convenient Patsy arrested in order to placate the public .
    Even his finding of innocence at his retrial was not good enough for the Authorities, the declaration that he was not innocent enough to receive compensation ! I've never heard of that in over 40 years of taking an interest in Criminal matters . I bet there isn't a Solicitor or Barrister in the land that's ever heard of it before either .
    One other small clue that might not appear to be much at first sight . One of the witnesses in the reconstruction , says that the Range Rover behind her car was revving the engine whilst waiting at the Junction . So the RR must have had a manual gearbox as an automatic would creep forward . Who would put an auto in neutral just to rev the engine if they were in a hurry . . no one . Who would drive a manual gearbox RR in London traffic ? No one except Security Services or an out of towner . Because manuals are a drivers car and Mi5 operatives are drivers .
    There have been accusations of serious misconduct ( since Jill's death ) about Prince Andrew , Jimmy Saville , Rolf Harris , Stuart Hall , Cliff Richard , Pete Townsend , all of whom Jill would have known or had professional knowledge of . How many more were there ? This is probably just the tip of the iceberg .
    When you consider £12 M was spent to silence an accuser quite recently ,the murder of a television personality in order to keep the ' lid on things ' is not beyond the realms of possibility .

      @Helvetica247 ปีที่แล้ว

      There were not many CCTV cameras around at that time compared to today . Their use was very controversial and much debated in parliament and elsewhere until long after the ‘90s.
      The few cameras there were tended to be in town centers, positioned near banks and businesses. People used to joke that if you wanted to commit a crime and saw a camera, you just went round the corner.
      Few residential streets had cameras (other than perhaps the odd doorbell cam in very expensive properties), so I’d be surprised if the streets near Jill’s house were covered. If they were, we wouldn’t be reliant solely on the witness statements that this reconstruction is based on.
      The few CCTV cameras there were, relied on video tape that was recorded over again and again. Often by the time police looked at it, it had been recorded over. So it was often more of a deterrent than a tool for catching people red handed.

    MI 5 might have had different reasons not to act immediately while keeping an eye on "Mr. Evil", the most logical one is that they wanted to see who his contacts were, and discover the complete network around him. It's the same as not arresting small drug dealers, even if they go on making more victims. What's the use of snatching the pawns, if you don't know who are the master puppeteers behind them. Of course MI 5 know more or less the structure of the far right movements: I'm sure they have several agents who have infiltrated these groups. However, it still was interesting to see if Mr. Evil was not meeting unknown new members etc. Come on, give these guys and ladies some credit. But yes, another explanation is that the master puppeteers are maybe MI 5 themselves, who want every now and then a little and containable terrorist attack to occur, every time their hugh budegets come under attack....

When Dando supposedly receives information on Copeland after the first bomb and before the second, how did Copeland know he had been compromised, how did he know Dando had that information, how did he know she hadn't passed this info to police or others, why would killing Dando exclusively allow him to continue his bombing campaign. Why did he take time out from cutting fireworks open to order a hit on Dando. Has your mate Mr Hiyam from America ever had his deception detecting ability evaluated by scientific testing. No, he hasn't, because the ability to spot deception is fantasy peddled to impress the gullible, people claim to be able to do it but none can prove it. It's about the knowledge and reconnaissance of his exploits, they knew who he was far sooner then they let on, plus convoluted extraneous stuff going on between the met & mi6 , Jill also supposedly blurted out about the intelligence watching from Brixton rooftop and a possible terrorist act implementation later.
