As far as I know, the only way to connect would be through usb cable. Check with their customer service though. Here very good and might have another answer.
@@MatthewHaines Thanks, also, I'm not sure if you mentioned it in the video, but if I record to a daw via USB B (multi track) does that give me a post fader mix or is it also still based on the source point selected?
I want a different mix to come out for livestream than the house mix, and have the flexibility to change individual channels for that bus/matrix mix just for the livestream without affecting what is heard on the house mix. I am a little confused on this as we currently have an old analog mixer we want to replace, and not sure if I can do what we want to do on the CQ series (Separate mixes that can be set up for house and livestream). Can you set up a dedicated mix just for the livestream on this?
Hi and that's an important question! Now, I don't have the unit anymore as I had to return it, but I'm pretty sure it can do what you want. You have those six outputs, and you can set them so they're stereo pairs (1/2, 3/4 etc). You independently set the levels of what you're sending to these monitor outputs, and it doesn't affect the main mix. You can also pan independently as well, as far as I can tell from reading the manual. You can also monitor each output via headphones. So...yes. Probably. :) I would just verify with A&H in case I missed something, since I can't actually test it.
I love this mixer, it's perfect for my live band needs. Can you show how to use backing tracks, click and audio goes to monitor output, and only audio to main outputs
Thanks! If I understnad your question correctly, the CQ mixer connects to your computer using a USB-B (on the mixer) to a USB-A (on your computer). They supply a cable. Let me know if that's not what you meant.
Your video helped me a lot. By the way, I was wondering if CQ18T can monitor playback and recording at the same time in LOGIC, but it's not possible in QBASE. But I was wondering how to do it because they said in the video that other docs are the same. Can you please let me know? For example, if it's in multi track mode, there's no problem with input/output in da. But if you play MR track, it won't play. Of course the recording track is recorded normally. It's driving me crazy. Please save me ^^
Well unfortunately I don't use Cubase, and Allen & Heath asked for the CQ12T back after the review. So I can't really help with specific situations. I was able to send individual tracks from Logic to inputs of the CQ for monitoring. But it eats up input tracks.
Do you mean use the phone as a source? Yes! You can choose Bluetooth as an input source. I didn’t get a chance to try it while I still had the mixer in-hand.
Those products are aimed at different markets. From a shear input standpoints, yes the A&H mixer does more. It also has some features that are aimed at live or studio recording that the Rode doesn't. However, the Rode has some podcast-specific features the A&H doesn't have. So it really depends on what your main usage is.
Thank you, Sir. That was very helpful!
I’m glad to hear it! Thanks for watching.
Thank you very much. The CQ is actually confusing at first, but thanks to your help, it is easy to make progress.
Your comment makes me happy. :) That's exactly what I was trying to do with this video.
This is great! Do you have any tips for how I can do this with a significant physical distance between the mixer and the PC? Thanks

@@CinderB You can choose to send pre or post-fader to your DAW. 👍

Sadly, I had to return it to A&H so I can't. That's a great idea though!
yes you can. I have a CQ20b.
This is exactly what I was looking for thanks

This is beautiful Sir. I missed the Cable part from the mixer. Is it from the usb b?

Is it possible to record through a mobile device for videos or live streams?

Could you teach us how to use this mixer to stream with obs?
Sadly, I had to return it to A&H because it was only on loan.
can you do more with this than rode podcaster 2
