Great guide as always, just wanted to throw a strat my group uses incase it helps other for planet encounter. We use 2 warlock wells the first using Phoenix and popping as the tormentor spawns in making it easy to focus him down. The pheonix lock always get his well back before (with team coordinated kills) the second well expires during damage phase. I just envisage as the weeks progress this tormentor becoming more of a problem.
I can confirm his discord is really amazing we had only one person leave without saying anything the rest actually had reasons to leave so yeah it's a lot less toxic than actual LFG

I think you forgot to mention that a tormentor spawns during oryx, not a huge deal if you dont bother with him but he can be annoying during dps if he gets close
So unless something changed in King's Fall with pantheon or like in the past 2 weeks about the corrupted lights, you should be able to stand at the very edge of the corrupted light and still detonate it. It's actually something I recommend to people whenever I run King's Fall. Also, if someone is standing on their plate when they shouldn't be, it does a fire thing and burns everyone on a plate, however, you can stand on the side of the plate, just outside of the circle, without activating it. It takes a lil bit of practice but it ends up saving about 2-3 ish seconds every plate. But if you're running 6x whisper none of the above matters. But if you decide to get a little silly, or if you have like 5.5x whisper for some reason, it's just some lil tips to help out. :) Also, this is solely based on King's Fall raid, not the pantheon version, but all of that should be the same.
Honest question, where did you get your information about surge mods not working on Atraks-1? I'm just curious because I've been looking around a little after hearing that and I cannot find anyone else talking about this. Is it maybe just a bug?
I'm really saddened that solo players are kicked to the curb by elitist players who leave if you make a mistake. If it is a requirement to raid for the final shape, I cannot play. I've been gaming since gaming began. But no one in my circle runs raids. I study these encounters but have anxiety issues. So I will screw up.
I completely understand...I was so stoked to get raid loot then found out how nasty ppl were....it just don't make sense..I work so much..and have a real life...I can't play 50 hrs a week...I thought this mode would make ppl want to help solos...but instead it's even harder..

I just joined your discord hoping to find kind people to do week 2 with me. I don't really raid because of social anxiety but I did manage to get the highest score for week one and we cleared it pretty fast!
With Atrax it is better to use a different strategy: three go up, three stay at the bottom. Destroy all the servitors from above and leave one below, taking the operator's buff and going up. After a while, the damage phase will automatically begin, plus the tormentor will not spawn and you will still receive platinum.
Someone should do a little testing to see about with Wolfpack Rounds (because some descriptors say with Explosive Light that it doesn’t buff the Wolfpack Rounds)… but I’d be curious because I’m thinking with that 5% damage nerf that Explosive Light is probably better on Rockets than Bait and Switch now. You need to get 6 rockets off in one Bait and Switch timer (the first to proc that gets no bonus and the other 5) to make up for the no bonus. I can’t remember how much you get in reserves with a triple reserves but unless you get to 12 one way or another you can’t make up for the missing damage in the first shot. The only caveat being before damage you need to pick up some orbs which are everywhere and then after you use them up you need more… but on a damage phase if everyone is using their supers there should be at least 15 orbs there and with Class ability to pick up orbs mod it couldn’t be any easier.
The only raids i ever did was crota and VOG on D1 but since that i have never raided so i never thought I'd be able to do pantheon but to my surprise i have platinumed everything so far and can do all encounters and I'm proud to say i am not an ad clear main🤣
Pyrogale, whisper of the worm. DPS the boss, and when a tormentor shows up, expose its chest and nuke the tormentor with your super. That’s all titans are really used for in oryx atm
I'm a hunter main and it's hard to both find fireteams and survive in pantheon. any tips on how to survive longer and still compete against titans and warlocks?
How does it work when you are meleeing the first copy and proccing shot caller during your dps countdown? Doesn’t that start dps early and shorten the dps window?
I learned this from a lowman speed runner: On the clones, they have to take a specific amount of damage before it triggers the wipe mechanic. On solo runs and not using the scanner buff, a single indebted kindness shot to a clone won't trigger the wipe, but on the real Atrax will move her health bar a couple of pixels, and that's how to tell for solo runs. So I'm assuming the real one has that same threshold too, and they are using the clones/ real to proc radiant and/or shot caller before the Atrax phase timer is triggered.
Dont know if it was said in the video but for oryx when you have to grab the brand ypu can mountaintop launch to get it.. anybody preferably a floater that way nobody has to cover for a plate persons bomb.
@Shloop-cw9lf when you stand on the two plates the brand appears for everyone and ANYBODY can mountain top jump to get it. If you don't believe me then try it yourself I ain't lying.

For this or any endgame activity should i use damage resist mods or double down on concussive damper? If i do use damage resist, how do i know which to use? Trying to prepare myself for my first pantheon this week.
Damage resists over concussive, tailor it for each encounter ie you’ll obviously need solar resist for planets given how much fire is around. Atraks would be arc resist (though consider sniper resist for atraks too). You just have to know what the specific threats are in each encounter and tailor it
Is there some sort of bug for the high score triumph? I did this yesterday, every boss was a platinum, every boss before the bonus timer run ou, yet i didnt get credit for caretaker and atraks highschores :(
Just get the bonus time completion doesn't ensure the highscore kill more ads get more medals and emote finish elites for highscore atrax is 500k I'm not sure about caretaker.
Anyone actually gotten the bombs thing at oryx as opposed to the thunderdome in between damage phases? I haven’t seen it happen yet. It’s been thunderdome every time for me.
These bosses are so easy while raiding with good teammates, but as soon as you go for LFG. It feels like the bosses are the toughest things ever :( Very hard to coordinate proper dps with LFG groups. Some don’t even want to follow optimized dmg strat even when told -_-

Ngl man. For me this was hella hard, well the first two encounters anyway. The other encounters were piss. Took a few runs due to mechanics and just tying but 4 hours straight man. Spent and hour half almost on caretaker. Edit, I've been seeing that you need to kill tormentor for plat. When I done it, we never killed him and still got plat and my triumph for the GODSLAYER title was still good

That's pretty much my thought when there's a tittle made like this. I've raided with some super horrible people. Someone just could not understand how to even do totems in kings fall. It's why I tend to not join random groups to try and do raids. Not that I expect to get through things like this instantly. But I don't have the time to spend 6-10 hours on a raid to not get through it.
PSA: getting PLATINUM bc you finish within the time limit DOES NOT guarantee a HIGH SCORE for the triumph/seal. It is NOT A BUG. Please kill everything, even the tormentor .
I got so lucky with my lfg got platinum in every encounter and we 1 phased the first 3 encounters , atraks took us 2 attempts and then we did oryx after like 5 tries and it was a very chill run. Emblem for this week is beautiful Since ive done the first 2 weeks maybe I'll attempt all of them For this week I just ran the celestial build you gave us last week and for atraks I swapped to star eater blade barrage coz I keep messing up shooting the worm GL after golden gun Also took me like 5minutes of practicing at the enclave but I've pretty much got the Izzy rotation completely down. Hit 6.5mil on a 1phasr warlords ruin final boss and even got the exotic to drop from that run I felt so proud lol
I've been falling in an out of destiny 2, never really had friends or patient people to play the game with since I have a speech impediment disability, and being bullied, judged and ridiculed for having a inhuman voice an being made fun of all the time is not fun at all. Plus im not the brightest or most knowledgeable person with builds or mechanics on Destiny 2. I'm very dumb

Like, I have 70 sherpas in Kingsfall, did Flawless&Trio, multiple master clears. I dare to say I’m a good player. I am also patient. I hope that people who lfg on the first day know what to do in a slightly advanced raid setting. Just imagining riven on contest with a learning group gives me the chills. For my whole fireteams sake.

I got it to proc on bee kills too I believe (unless I was seeing things)

Yeah unfortunately you can't have everything. This is a team play mode. But onslaught is great for solo players.
Womp womp just don't do raids if you can't even handle doing no comms, there still plenty of people who does them.

Strand Titan is good against Tormentors in planets and Oryx. They can keep them suspended indefinitely.

Thought I’d ask if dps with 20 GO missiles would work too as not everyone on my team has witch queen. And if this doesn’t, what are the alternatives

Ngl man. For me this was hella hard, well the first two encounters anyway. The other encounters were piss. Took a few runs due to mechanics and just tying but 4 hours straight man. Spent and hour half almost on caretaker.
Edit, I've been seeing that you need to kill tormentor for plat. When I done it, we never killed him and still got plat and my triumph for the GODSLAYER title was still good
anyone able to tell me why my whisper was only hitting like 48k on Oryx per shot and some people out here hitting 103k a shot.
You can still one floor it easily we did it multiple times as long as you count down and everyone hit there shot

That's pretty much my thought when there's a tittle made like this. I've raided with some super horrible people. Someone just could not understand how to even do totems in kings fall. It's why I tend to not join random groups to try and do raids. Not that I expect to get through things like this instantly. But I don't have the time to spend 6-10 hours on a raid to not get through it.

You need 500k score so you may need to kill a tormentor

We all went upstairs on Atraks n 1 phased him, got platinum but it didnt count on the achievement, anyone know why? 🤔

I got so lucky with my lfg got platinum in every encounter and we 1 phased the first 3 encounters , atraks took us 2 attempts and then we did oryx after like 5 tries and it was a very chill run. Emblem for this week is beautiful

For this week I just ran the celestial build you gave us last week and for atraks I swapped to star eater blade barrage coz I keep messing up shooting the worm GL after golden gun
Also took me like 5minutes of practicing at the enclave but I've pretty much got the Izzy rotation completely down. Hit 6.5mil on a 1phasr warlords ruin final boss and even got the exotic to drop from that run I felt so proud lol

I've been falling in an out of destiny 2, never really had friends or patient people to play the game with since I have a speech impediment disability, and being bullied, judged and ridiculed for having a inhuman voice an being made fun of all the time is not fun at all. Plus im not the brightest or most knowledgeable person with builds or mechanics on Destiny 2. I'm very dumb

@@MacticsG1but this is trying advanced raiding, close to master level… I have a lot of patience and did 150+ sherpas but taking 10 hours to clear with lfg while only messing up two or three times myself just feels like my time is being wasted.

Like, I have 70 sherpas in Kingsfall, did Flawless&Trio, multiple master clears. I dare to say I’m a good player. I am also patient. I hope that people who lfg on the first day know what to do in a slightly advanced raid setting. Just imagining riven on contest with a learning group gives me the chills. For my whole fireteams sake.
