Till Lindemann is a rock god!!! …There will never be a hard core band as big as them EVER ! They are a global phenomenon
"No Drama" well the front singer recently got accused of drugging and abusing young women in their afterparties and the band probably helped him to do so, the case got shut down because there was not enough evidence but they are probably just way to rich and influencal...
@@zail3_439 Till did face some serious accusations last year, but there was an investigation by German authorities and eventually they said that there wasn't enough evidence to bring charges against him and the investigation was dropped. It's true that Till had an assistant that ''recruited'' young women for him to have sex with after the shows and while one might find that type of activity somewhat distasteful, if not full on gross, it appears that all the ladies involved were consenting adults. Also, these after show activities did not involve the participation of the other band members.

When I went to see Rammstien in Texas I was in the "burn zone" and I WANTED IT THAT WAY. I packed burn gel and everything else because the first time in the 90's when this song came out I was in the "burn zone" and lost my eyebrows! Best fucking memory of a concert aside from the time I got into a brawl with a 6'2 man about 300lbs over a drum stick thrown by the drummer of my favorite grunge band in '96. I broke 3 ribs, cracked my sternum, got a grade 2 concussion, screamed so loud I couldn't talk for 1 month but I STILL HAVE THAT FUCKING DRUM STICK.🤘😊
Amazing story, bro! I ve seen Rammstein twice, both from first row of fanzone. Second time I received a cool sticker "I survived first row with Rammstein", it was awesome.

Greetings from Germany. Yes, all fireworks are real. Some band members in particular are specially trained fireworks enthusiasts. The first round in the concert is called “Feuerzone” and means fire zone and costs the most. The concerts are always sold out in just a few minutes. I was 2 times there, an even in the back rings its very hot!
This is a testament that music truly brings people together since a German band is playing to a hyped up and enthusiastic French crowd, if you know your history. Additionally, the whole band is certified to set off pyrotechnics, but the lead singer is _fully_ certified in the sense that he can position and make his own stuff.
In 1999 I was 16 and saw Rammstein (if you can believe this) open for Limp Bizkit and Korn in Virginia Beach on the "Family Values Tour". The most incredible thing to me is that Rammstein did 45 minutes and by the time Bizkit took the stage, the crowd was spent and NOT having it. Most people either sat in their hands, left, or booed the Co-headliners. When Korn came LATE I'll add, Jonathan Davis threw a hissy fit after like 2 songs and the crowd just laughed at him and threw debris onto stage.
@@crimsonrage9613 my wife and I have twin 13 year old daughters now and I try to explain to them what that time was like and it's weird, because to me, it was yesterday, but to them, it is a COMPLETELY other era that they'll never understand.
I saw these guys in Cardiff, Wales. The stadium opened the roof and so many people in the city called the fire brigade because of the amount of smoke billowing out, they all thought it was on fire. The amount of pyro in their shows is intense.
Rammstein is my absolute favorite rock band in the world. I’ve seen them live 3 times. The whole concert is awesome. But when this song starts, everyone goes CRAZY. I would go to their concert just for this song and Engel. They are AWESOME!!!!
The song probably sings how America controls the world, wants it and everyone dances to its tune, figuratively speaking. For example - Wenn getanzt wird will ich fuehren, Auch wenn ihr euch alleine dreht, Lasst euch ein wenig kontrollieren, Ich zeige euch wie's richtig geht, (When there's dancing, I want to lead Even if you turn alone Let us control you a little I show you how it's done,) Or - Ich kenne Schritte die sehr nuetzen, Und werde euch vor Fehltritt schuetzen, Und wer nicht tanzen will am Schluss, Weiss noch nicht dass er tanzen muss. (I know steps that are very useful And will protect you from missteps, And if you don't want to dance at the end, Don't know yet that he has to dance). And then another - We're all living in America, amerika ist wunderbar, We're all living in America, America, America, We're all living in America, coca-cola, sometimes war, We're all living in America, America, America. Here it is so clear. Vietnam, Iraq, Yugoslavia, Syria, Afghanistan, etc. At the same time, everyone in America, that is, they eat hamburgers and drink Coca-Cola. And the scene at the end, when the video is being filmed, is a joke about America's flights to the moon, which, according to many versions, are considered fake. One big lie. If only because the flights were so long ago and turned out, and then the technologies developed, and the flights all stopped, strange, then they refused to give this soil to anyone for a long time, etc. Probably they wanted to say this in the song secretly, it seems to me so, I could be wrong.
The lead singer, Lindemann, is a licensed pyrotechnician. And even though they up the ante with pyrotechnics each tour, Lindemann strives for safety. A fire and burning equipment from pyrotechnics during an earlier tour is what inspired Lindemann to become a licensed pyrotechnician.
I keep seeing this over and over. Yes, he is a pyro. However, they have blown up (pun intended) to the point where they hire a company to do all that now. I am sure Till h as a hand in the design of the gags, but it is handled by a crew of professional pyros these days.
Grew up with Rammstein and when I was 10 back in 1999, my dad and older brother took me on their live show to Germany. I was the youngest attendee at that show and people there were awesome, instead of my dad having me on his shoulder the whole show, people slowly made us go to the front so I'd see the show better... I once saw a footage from that show online where I could be seen in the front for a brief moment, but I can't find it anywhere no more. Even back then, their live performance was batshit crazy and it left me shaking with adrenaline, joy and pure thankfulness to my father and brother for bringing me there. I'll never and I mean NEVER forget that!
This is one of my favorite bands. I took a flight from Barcelona, Spain to Lisbon in Portugal just to watch Rammstein live from the pitch. Totally worth it, the best concert I've ever been to!
Keyboardist Flake Lorenz was bored to just stand there when his skills were not needed, so he thought it would be fun to excercise. He can change the speed of the treadmill according to the rythm of the song. It's not blood you see on the vocalist's arms, but fire retardant gel in case something goes wrong. He's a licensed pyrotechnician. Even if you're not into this genre, you won't be bored with the show!
What's cool is that treadmill seems to be a van de graaff generator and a tesla suit which can protect you from high voltage. Pretty awesome trick and the "air strike" put this show over the top
This is one of my favorite songs, when this song came out back in the day I was like “yes thank you!” One more thing I wanna say is the way they captivate an audience is nothing short of spectacular. Imagine you’re that band on stage and this huge venue full of people and they’re all singing in unison and on key, I might add!
Knowing Till he'll continue his concert even if he was bleeding, he did it in 2022 when I saw them in Lyon - France. He threw himself in the camera/mirror and finished the concert with blood everywhere on his face and an open wound on his forehead. He was regularly swiping the blood with his bare hands and continued like nothing happened, Till is a monster 😂

Rammstein come from a long tradition of European “industrial’ performance / music. It stretches back through Einstürzende Neubauten, Archaos, Mutoid Waste Company to even earlier last century with the Italian Futurists and the Art of Noises.
Last year Rammstein toured through the USA, are you even aware of how long ago Du Hast was recorded? Like 1990. They are Heavy Metal . Everything you saw in the live performance they did live. I saw them in Minneapolis. The best concert ever, the flames, the fireworks, amazing. It should be noted that most Americans do sing the along with the band. The members of Rammstein are in their 50s. They have been together for many years. Their show is jaw dropping.
@@izabelasiczek3547can agree that it’s not heavy metal 👍 Maybe more industrial metal but not Industrial by it self… Tyske Ludder and Phosgore are industrial 🖤
@@FUNandGAMEAxelTlexA What?! None of those lyrics are even in the song. Not *everything* is about the US, despite the pervasive American narcissism. The song is about marriage vows -in particular, questioning the ‘till death’ vow- and how feelings and relationships can change over time. Over time, “You have me” can change into “You hate me.” Most people who have been married a long time can understand the the line, “You asked me, and I said nothing.”

Madison Square Garden was not only sold out, it was sold out within 27 minutes. The song came out in the late 90s, around 97. The genre in Germany is called neue deutsche Härte, witch translates to new german hardness, or strongness. Bit I think, its ok, if you call it industrial metal.
"Du Hast" was used in Matrix movie. I was on Slipknot tour when Joey did his drum solo. All fire works on Rammstein concert is real, and you can feel fire from 100yards from sceene.

The lyrics go like this: Du (you), Du has(s)t (you have / you hate), Du has(s)t mich (you have me / you hate me), Du hast mich gefragt (you have asked me), Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab' nichts gesagt (you have asked me and I said nothing) Willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet (will you until death do you part) or for cheeky word play here Willst du bis der Tod der Scheide (will you until the death of the V-Jay) Treu ihr sein für alle Tage (be faithful to her for the rest of times) or interchangable Sie lieben auch in schlecten Tagen (love her also in bad times) Female backup singers: Ja (yes) Male singer: Nein (No) Words being used here in this context: du (you), hast (have), hasst (hate), mich (me), gefragt (asked), und (and), ich (I), hab (have 1.person), nichts (nothing), gesagt (said), willst (will), du (you), bis (until), der Tod (the death), euch (you plural), scheidet (part), der Scheide (the v-jay), Treu (faithful), ihr (her), sein (be), für (for), alle (all), Tage (days), sie (her), lieben (love), auch (also), in (in/on), schlechten (bad), Tagen (days), Ja (yes), Nein (no) German is kind of complicated, the verb comes at the end of the sentence so the word for word translation of "du hast mich gefragt" is "you have me asked" and "ich hab' nichts gesagt" is "I have nothing said" This song came out in 1997. I saw them live in 2001. Loads of fire even back then.
Was in Vienna last year with some friends and we caught a Rammstein concert from our hotel. Was about 1500 meters away from the concert but could hear it clearly and man, the sky was so lit up. I can see why people would travel to catch a live performance.
I saw them live in 2022 Philadelphia Pa. It is a once in a lifetime experience. Till is not only a showman but trained pyrotechnics. Also their cord managment is INSANE. Also to confirm it is HOT with those flames.
I love when musicians of different genres can appreciate the talent and chops of others. Was just rewatching a video of Foo Fighters trolling the hate filled Westboro Baptist Church boycotting their show, and even one of the haters ended up grooving to their bigger power of love, joy and music. The arts are what keeps us together. Respect.
Rammstein did a gig in an Underground bar in Melbourne Australia, Till had flamethrower and shot it over the crowd, the oxygen level in the venue got eaten up and half the crowd collapsed from oxygen starvation they had halt the concert and pull everyone out, Rammstein have the most wicked awesome pyrotechnic shows.
I was recently on Rammstein concert and when they shoot the flare gun, the things that come back are shot from these pylons that are erected in the audience and then the entire stage explodes. They use the pylons to disperse all kinds of stuff on the audience, including a thick black smoke, fly-shaped confetti or do a laser show that makes you trip balls. Totally #1 band in the world when it comes to a live performance.
During their last stadium tours there was even more fire. It’s amazing! Being there in the crowd and sing Du hast with 60000 people together feels amazing 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I saw them in San Antonio at the Alamodome a couple years back. This is not just a concert, it is an awe inspiring experience. This is hands down my favorite band after seeing them live from the fuerzone. If they don't come back to America I am definitely taking a trip to see them in Europe when they return to live shows.
I like these dudes! The fact that he knew about Joey's drum solo thing is dope. I remember seeing Slipknot in Oslo, Norway in like 2007 or something like that, and then seeing them again in Oslo in 2020 right before the whole world shut down.
Rammstein are easily one of the best live acts ever and I'm not talking about the pyro effects, they don't even need them in my opinion, it's the energetic music that will catch you.
The song "Du Hast" by Rammstein revolves around the question, "Do you want to marry me?" while conveying doubts and the exertion of power. The lyrics "Du, Du Hast, Du Hast mich, und ich hab nichts gesagt" can be interpreted as someone receiving a marriage proposal and not saying anything in response.
Best concert I've ever seen, so entertaining!!! Favorite band ever!!! My dad first showed me them when I was like 10. Loved them for over 20 years now!!!!

Just got this in my feed...Went to Denmark this summer ans saw them live... it was crazy and yes, it had it all, firework, treadmil, flames and.... end credits like an movie lol.
I'm 60 and still like Rammstein. I worked with a guy years ago that was good friends with the lead singer.. quite close. Rammsteins music , believe it or not , are typically 'love sons' in German . Giving it that reversed emotion charge. You have to translate the lyrics... RAMMSTEIN ROCKS ... Industrial metal and their concerts are an experience.
First : some of rammstein songs could mabey for some people, in the rock/Metall groups more, count as love songs, but this one sure isnt and also i cant remeber many who would even be remotely near a love song, we germans have other music for that. And the other thing is, after all that has happenend i wouldnt tell so proudly of beeing on good terms with Lindemann. Dont know if its true, but that he took to many drugs in his life, is into young women and has a slight god complex, kind of is a thing 😅
Saw them when they were in philly last and being in the pit in front of the stage and the flames they fire out is hot. Its crazy how great they are live. Also the fact they are so loud apparently they are heard up to a dozen miles away if they are playing an open stadium.
I was standing one on the side and once in the standing area (in the middle not in the fire zone) and in the first one you just get the full fire wave at your face but in the standing area you don't feel almost anything because you're under the fire 😂
Ive seen this band live a few years back in doors with all the fire shows going over your head!!! Its insane!! The sound of the drums moved my jeans by itself at the bottom! To see there show is a must!

Biggest Rock Band on Earth 🌎on all levels …6 still together after 30+ years! No drama ,no overdose’s, no huge egos ,they split everything 6 way’s and gives credit and music rights to all in the band …. Rammstein is the biggest rock band throughout the world!!..they sell out every arena they play no matter what part of the world!! Till Lindemann is a rock god!!! …There will never be a hard core band as big as them EVER ! They are a global phenomenon
Rock band?
@@kindred1989 No they're an orchestra
No drama? Hmmmmm.......... 🤔Accusations of roofies and nonconsensual sex? The whole scandal of 2023 already forgotten?🤨
Ich glaube das ist dein Lieblingsvideo von Rammstein, was du deinen Freunden zeigst.
Du wartest dann immer auf ihre Reaktionen wenn zum Einen das Publikum voll mit geht, Flake auf dem Laufband steppt

They played two concerts here in Poland - Sunday and yesterday. Both sold out, 70k each concert (they are on a stadium tour right now). EPIC! 🔥🔥🔥

Read this and thought you were talking about a 🍗 not a 🥁...I need sleep 😅
Amazing story, bro! I ve seen Rammstein twice, both from first row of fanzone. Second time I received a cool sticker "I survived first row with Rammstein", it was awesome.
You're a legend.
@@kitsunelee007 I woke up the next morning after attending a Halloween night concert of Oingo Boingo covered in bruises I have no memory of getting (I was not stoned or high btw), but losing a body part (even if it was just hair!)??? DAAYUMM!!! You win!🤣🤣🤣😳
Best story!! 🎉🎉🎉
I fly from freaking Singapore to Dresden. Almost 24hrs to get there. Just to see Rammstein on my honeymoon!

Their concert in Coventry, England was so loud it could be heard in Burton Hastings which is about 11 miles away.
Coventry fire service had like 20 calls about the stadium they were playing at being on fire, it was their pyro that could be seen by local residents.
I was at Coventry sat near the back in the stadium. My eyebrows were singed from the heat 🔥
This is a testament that music truly brings people together since a German band is playing to a hyped up and enthusiastic French crowd, if you know your history. Additionally, the whole band is certified to set off pyrotechnics, but the lead singer is _fully_ certified in the sense that he can position and make his own stuff.
Yeah this came in my head after I have seen 100k russians gladly singing "Deutschland Deutschland über allem" during a rammstein concert in moscow
Yes that's absolutely nuts. @@soewenue
Have you seen their Russian concerts? There's a much bigger history involved there
In 1999 I was 16 and saw Rammstein (if you can believe this) open for Limp Bizkit and Korn in Virginia Beach on the "Family Values Tour". The most incredible thing to me is that Rammstein did 45 minutes and by the time Bizkit took the stage, the crowd was spent and NOT having it. Most people either sat in their hands, left, or booed the Co-headliners. When Korn came LATE I'll add, Jonathan Davis threw a hissy fit after like 2 songs and the crowd just laughed at him and threw debris onto stage.
sounds right.... those others are posers and wankers compared to the true metal musicianship and showmanship of Rammstein
I am still mad I didnt go to that show
@@crimsonrage9613 my wife and I have twin 13 year old daughters now and I try to explain to them what that time was like and it's weird, because to me, it was yesterday, but to them, it is a COMPLETELY other era that they'll never understand.
It's also so fitting and deserving that in 2023 (15 years ago even) Rammstein left those nu-metal, fad hacks in their dust.
Similar to Big day Out in Australia! They had the best set ever, good times😅
Rammstein (Ram-stein), is fucking badass. Coming from and 59 year old lady. Thier videos are spectacular!!!

58 here too!
52 here and up to the concert on 19th😊
I heard Rammstein in our local rock disco! That must have been 20 years ago! I love it ❤️
I am an old dude and I love ‘em!
Engel would be another good live one for them to react to! The wing setup was really cool!
Links 2 3 4 is a banger in live too
The song probably sings how America controls the world, wants it and everyone dances to its tune, figuratively speaking.
For example -
Wenn getanzt wird will ich fuehren,
Auch wenn ihr euch alleine dreht,
Lasst euch ein wenig kontrollieren,
Ich zeige euch wie's richtig geht,
(When there's dancing,
I want to lead
Even if you turn alone
Let us control you a little
I show you how it's done,)
Or -
Ich kenne Schritte die sehr nuetzen,
Und werde euch vor Fehltritt schuetzen,
Und wer nicht tanzen will am Schluss,
Weiss noch nicht dass er tanzen muss.
(I know steps that are very useful
And will protect you from missteps,
And if you don't want to dance at the end,
Don't know yet that he has to dance).
And then another -
We're all living in America,
amerika ist wunderbar,
We're all living in America,
America, America,
We're all living in America,
coca-cola,
sometimes war,
We're all living in America,
America, America.
I think all of them are licenced actually.
I keep seeing this over and over. Yes, he is a pyro. However, they have blown up (pun intended) to the point where they hire a company to do all that now. I am sure Till h as a hand in the design of the gags, but it is handled by a crew of professional pyros these days.
Rammstein r so goddamn epic, they deserve more credit and recognition
And people actually think the Superbowl half time show is actually worth a damn. 🤣

Even if you're not into this genre, you won't be bored with the show!
is it blood from mien tiel? im unsure of order of songs in this concert though
@@John-qf6dw Yes, I guess the fire retardant is mixed with some fake blood from Mein Tiel.
What's cool is that treadmill seems to be a van de graaff generator and a tesla suit which can protect you from high voltage. Pretty awesome trick and the "air strike" put this show over the top
The walking over the treadmill helps him not to pee on stage he said in an interview

Two songs I really like of theirs, this one, and 'AMERIKA'!
Perfect example of industrial metal. Best regards from Croatia!

This summer, in Helsinki, awesome show.

Till turned 60 this year.
It's not heavy metal lol it's German industrial music
@@izabelasiczek3547can agree that it’s not heavy metal 👍
Maybe more industrial metal but not Industrial by it self… Tyske Ludder and Phosgore are industrial 🖤
Well... 1997. That was the year that tune was released.
You have never been to a concert till you go to a Rammstein concert. That is living and something you will never forget. They are the reason I took German in High School

Rammstein is universally popular in many countries, here in the US when they play they sell out tours left and right, they sell out shows all over the world...i cant speak german a lick, but i sing my ass off when ive seen them live lol❤️
The lyrics go like this:
Du (you),
Du has(s)t (you have / you hate),
Du has(s)t mich (you have me / you hate me),
Du hast mich gefragt (you have asked me),
Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab' nichts gesagt (you have asked me and I said nothing)
Willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet (will you until death do you part)
or for cheeky word play here
Willst du bis der Tod der Scheide (will you until the death of the V-Jay)
Treu ihr sein für alle Tage (be faithful to her for the rest of times)
or interchangable
Sie lieben auch in schlecten Tagen (love her also in bad times)
Female backup singers: Ja (yes)
Male singer: Nein (No)
Words being used here in this context: du (you), hast (have), hasst (hate), mich (me), gefragt (asked), und (and), ich (I), hab (have 1.person), nichts (nothing), gesagt (said), willst (will), du (you), bis (until), der Tod (the death), euch (you plural), scheidet (part), der Scheide (the v-jay), Treu (faithful), ihr (her), sein (be), für (for), alle (all), Tage (days), sie (her), lieben (love), auch (also), in (in/on), schlechten (bad), Tagen (days), Ja (yes), Nein (no)
German is kind of complicated, the verb comes at the end of the sentence so the word for word translation of "du hast mich gefragt" is "you have me asked" and "ich hab' nichts gesagt" is "I have nothing said"
This song came out in 1997. I saw them live in 2001. Loads of fire even back then.
I will learn this to say back to my wife :)

Thanks for taking the time to explain all this to us who don't speak German but wanted to know the meaning.
I went to their concert and I was not close to the stage and I could feel the heat from where i was sitting. It was amazing.
Respect.

Saw them live in Oslo last year, was in the front in the fire zone, fucking legendary!

"Willst du bis zum Tod der Scheide ihr treu sein bis zum letzten Tage?"

Ich finde auch, dass es lyrisch oder fast poetisch ist. Und es ist doppel- oder dreideutig oft❤
Its always wild when the Germans are in Paris
Saw them when they were in philly last and being in the pit in front of the stage and the flames they fire out is hot. Its crazy how great they are live. Also the fact they are so loud apparently they are heard up to a dozen miles away if they are playing an open stadium.
I was standing one on the side and once in the standing area (in the middle not in the fire zone) and in the first one you just get the full fire wave at your face but in the standing area you don't feel almost anything because you're under the fire 😂
That's right! They played in the stadspark in Groningen (Netherlands) en you could here them all around the City.
