To bad I didn't watch ur videos when u were in AZ. I would have made a point to meet u. Would have offered u a room or even a spot to park it camper while here. We r selling soon but might be here one more winter. If u plan on doing AZ again hit me up. I would be happy to do what I can to help u show us all more of the underground. Would love for u to find the kincade cave in the grand canyon. If it exists you would be the man to explore it. If anyone could find it my money is on you. Your eye has to be trained well to spot caves and mines. Thanks again for taking us all with.

Oh the drone footage was spectacular with all those snowy peaks set against the forest. Thank you for the story of why the mine is called the Lucky Jim, yep he was lucky in deed - of course it was only fair that they paid out. I bet that water was a shock to the system for Kane, but he didn’t complain one bit. Nice dynamite box, another cool find. The green was quite vivid, not seen that shade before in any of the mines. Phew I was so glad you didn’t go across that steep side; I mean it was near on vertical. Well spotted on the tobacco box Kane. There’s plenty of cool stuff to see in that mine. Well thank you for another brilliant video. Stay safe 👍 ❤️

I mucked a rich longhole stope about a 1-1/2 years ago that was so rich that every handful of muck ( we are required to sample every bucket of ore ) using a camera-remote 2.5 yard scooptram. That was the richest stope that I ever mucked in 43 years of mining, the muck was yellow everywhere! We mucked this stope out in less than 5 days, 2 shifts mucking. It's rare to see, but rich deposits do exist, this was at the Hoyle Pond mine in Timmins ON.

It's true that most lode mining today is the processing of invisible gold contained in the rock but there are the instances where gold has occured in a lode mine that actually looks like gold. In November, 1914, in the Cresson Mine in the Cripple Creek Mining District in Colorado, a vug was encountered that was 14 ft. wide, 23 ft. long, and 36 ft. high that was totally covered in wire and flake gold that produced 60,000 ounces of nearly pure gold that was scraped off the walls and ceiling. The owner of the mine had a bank vault door installed to try to stop high grading (except by mine executives who showed up with breifcases who just wanted a look, wink wink).
Now the only large scale mine operating in the district is the Cripple Creek and Victor open pit mine that is recovering one gram of invisible gold per ton of material processed and they still make a profit. Unfortunately, the open pit mine has destroyed a great deal of the old mine structures, head frames and buildings. Most of those mines didn't have adits and the only entry was by verticle shaft so we never could explore any of them but we miss the above ground history that's gone. It's one of the reasons I enjoy your videos so much, you get a chance to explore while they still exist.

Frank, this the same mine that had all the old equipment at the base of the mine? Any chance of going back to the Rock Candy Mine? That place was littered with some nice Fluorite. The Rogerely in the U.K. has some nice U.V. Reactivate Fluorite. Silicates in general are my favorite among the mineral groups. Beryl, Tourmaline, Adamite anything that’s quartz related. Kane takes well to the surroundings. Hopefully he learned a good bit about rigging figure 8’s ascenders/descenders, static line vs none. Pitons and cams are not really safe for mines IMO or needed unless for a possible undercut. Nonetheless I really enjoy the editing and footage. You ought too have Petzel as a sponsor. You need too come to South Eastern side of the Sierra Mtn range and North West Nevada. Everything is dry and hook up with Frank #2. Cheers
