Stuff like this makes me proud of my community, where teens ride their bicycles 'unsupervised' to junior highschool, like I did growing up here. Kids here knock on doors to collect plastic bottles and tin cans to turn in at the store for money.
I put unsupervised in quotes because adults in my community all keep an eye out for each other, there's always some old person watching. We don't need cameras, we got old people.

There really is a God and his name is Jesus. Restore your faith and see what happens to your life. You need to go where its quiet and private and ask for forgiveness of all of your pst mistakes and faults. You have to repent genuinely or else this thing does not work. That is why you need to bring all of your brokenness and suffering that you are currently enduring and lay it all at his feet. No long fancy prayer needed just talk to him as if hes right next to you because in actuality he does steps into the room and his presence is very mighty and large. If you put enough time you end up catching at least 1/3 of the population. That's how many there are. Alot of women too they are just harder to catch because they are alot more cautious online. They do their grooming more in person.

I'm an adult now but when I was 12 or 13 and first got access to internet, I went on a kids chat room and very quickly ended up speaking to a 40 something year old man who asked what I look like, where I was from etc. Thankfully, I was aware enough to stop talking to them without giving up any personal information. However, I spent hardly any time on there before I was found by what can only be a predator. Scary world.
Yeah my friend showed me when I was 16, he would go in a chat room pretending to be a 13 y old girl. He had two guys and set them up to meet 'her' but they would actually meet eachother. He was very into it always talking about it. It was about 2003.

When I was 11 or 12, a woman on Xbox voice messaged me, told me about sexual things like a **** ring. I had no idea what she was talking about, but she kept sending me moaning messages and similar.
Looking back, it could have been anyone just doing a female voice, either way...if that person asked me to meet, I could've been easily kidnapped, scary stuff

It's true that there is nothing that WE can do, but there is something that has already been done for you! God sent His One and Only Son to die on a cross as a sacrifice for our sins! So to recieve that eternal sweet sweet forgiveness, all we must do is repent of our sins (meaning to continually turn from them and confess them) and trust alone in Christ as you trust a parachute. If I was to push you out of an airplane, you'd want the parachute for sure! Don't try to flap your arms and save yourself, trust in the parachute! His finished work on the Cross IS ENOUGH!! He is the only way to Heaven, He said it Himself!! These other religions teach that we must he good and do good things and then maybe if we've been good enough, we will enter Heaven. Our 12yo daughter was contacted by a 60yo guy from Melbourne. Nothing inappropriate was said, but there's only one reason a 60yo man is contacting a young girl who he doesn't know. Luckily she's savvy enough to tell us straight away. The cops of course can't do anything except take a formal complaint, but at least that sickos name is on a watch list.

I just started retraining for a career in cybersecurity and I've been watching a ton of related videos. I had no idea this stuff goes on at the rate that it does. It's not just a 'dirty old man' or two, it's like tens of thousands of perps from all walks of life! A team of 1000 with IT and other related sting operation people could be busy full time and not even make a dent. Pretty damn disgusting.

It's so crazy how much this happens. My older brothers friend is in prison for this,I had a coworker go to jail for being a pedo and my dad's neighbor went to prison this. My friends and I used to catfish pedos on Yahoo Chat back in the day when we were about 13. Our biggest catches were women (probably lures employed by larger trafficking outfits). I lived adjacent to the police station in our town and used to go over to them every Wednesday with a pile of chat logs, IP and MAC addresses of these predators with screenshots of their faces if they were brazen enough to request webcam chats with us. I think nearly 6 people in our state alone were indicted as a result of our hunts and 9 investigations were opened as well. We eventually had to start focusing more on school and dating got in the way to, but we still get together and talk about it sometimes just because of the toll it took on us not just emotionally but developmentally as well. If we had half the tech and conviction that Ryan has here, we would all be using what we learned to save as many kids as we can now.

The only thing that bothers me about this is actually how long it has been pervasive, ie, since chatrooms began. I remember these creeps popping up back in the early to mid 90's. A couple of my friends knew how to do computer stuff and exposed a couple of them in the chat rooms. Then we began setting them up to expose them. They were people we knew. More specifically which parent they were. It's sick and it has informed my extreme beliefs on how to handle these scum. I hope this reaches enough people and I hope they watch with there children to show them how dangerous it can be

It must have been happening since at least the early 90's because my parents knew about it enough in the early 2000's to keep me informed about the dangers of people online.

I am a teen. I have been on that chat room (mostly to look for a gf or something.) And can attest that the sheer multitude of predators and creeps there is insane. Lots of people there get dirty and stuff like, well, kids do. But it's so dangerous bc people my age don't understand when they're sending things to an actual person who is who they say they are, and when they're talking to an adult predator. I mean the chat room used to be cool, and it used to be used by actually utilized by teens, but now if you login for like 5 seconds you'll see people selling underage content and trying to meet up with underage people. Growing up in the 90s my friends and I used to be obsessed with these chatrooms, and I can definitely say that there were predators DAILY. We were around 12-13 years old at the time and we thought it was all innocent but it ALWAYS took a dark turn.

I remember back in the day when "Stranger Danger" was the huge focal point of trying to protect kids from predators but I always felt that the CYBER side of it was never taught well enough.
My parents kept me informed on that front and told me "if anyone online wants to know what you look like or where to meet you, stop talking and tell us about it. You won't get in trouble." Which means that even before MY time this was an extant issue that even they knew about and they weren't very tech-savvy.
But I wonder just how many kids never got that talk in the early 2000's and ended up falling victim to online predators. Too many, for sure.

I sat with my niece back when she was 15 once in a chat and watched this happen with a man in his forties and tried to do the same thing, my mom, sister and I were there and ripped him up on the chat……it was scary to see how quickly and easily they try to do this.

No they don't after reporting dozens of sites and apps to law enforcing agency's they don't go for the source they leave it, it's sickening. In my country there is a group of teenagers who took it upon themselves to catch predators like that and then post it on youtube - letting one of them chat and when the predator suggests to meet in person, they send one of the girls (around 17, but looks younger) and then they show up and catch the guy. They have also exposed lots of creeps with very high social standing, however, the weird thing is - instead of arresting the creeps - with clear evidence of chat logs and intent of meeting and having intimate relationship with underage girls, the police didn't do anything about it.
They twisted it as unlawful "arrest" by the teen group who caught the predators, and basically the good guys had trouble with the law for exposing the real criminals.
The only media that actually showed it is a TH-cam channel similar to this one - of a brave guy who doesn't rely on sponsorships and he can afford to speak the truth, no matter how inconvenient for some.
This guy needs to team up with biker clubs and give them the names and addresses of these predators
