I drove past this cave last week on my way to Arizona but didn’t take the time to stop. After seeing this video I’m kind of regretting it, I’ll have to go back now. Thanks for the tour!
I travelled this road for the first time in 1992 ! Boy how it's grown around Mount Carmel. I did some hiking in Zion with a Snow crab dinner in the huge lodge in the centre of the park, then onto highway 12 to Bryce canyon where I camped at 8000 feet, very cold in my tent overnight. Wonderful memories, Utah is my very favourite State. Oldtimer Englishman from Shropshire wishing he was young again.
Just came back from Utah, Bryce and Big Water, Horseshoe Bend and visited literally every single same spots, what a coincidence, I even saw my car parked on the side of the road when I was hiking to the sand caves just before you stop at the Moqui cave.. Thanks for mentioning my car! I was so happy and for a minute I thought my family and I were gonna to be in your video at the Moqui cave which we I also visited.😜 subscribed.take care.
You have to take a shuttle to go through Zion canyon but you can still drive the 12 mile mount Carmel highway inside Zion which is a very beautiful drive.

Hey Russ - We really liked that final shot today with the drone descending on the Scenic Byway sign and off in the distance the red rocks and what is to come. Thanks for another good one. Mike & Brenda | Hondo, TX
i llve in San Diego so i always check out the gas prices in your videos. EVERYWHERE is cheaper than it is here! Another great video, looking forward to the next one
My favorite trip is just driving down backgrounds to small towns, sites, wildlife, just whatever you come across. It seems that you plan out your trip at a high level, but leave the freedom to explore the unexpected,. I enjoy you4 style of trip, especially with the drone shots included. Thanks Russ
Here I am in NSW Australia and I'm doing a great tour of the American South West. Excellent work Russ. During the first part of the video while you were driving through all that red (Navajo ? ) and white sandstone you could see the different strata. The red sandstone is mainly horizontal and the white sandstone had diagonal strata. Clearly demonstrating how the sand was laid down in these sedimentary rocks. A geological wonderland. Zion National Monument is the same type of geology but on a much grander scale.
I hope to get out west next year with my new to me but older model class A. Thanks for all the videos, it really makes travel easier when see what these routes are like.
🙋♀️The lush green shrubs had a nice shade of green in the Arial view. The Museum was worth stopping for never having seen it before. I thought it was neat what I could see of it. Was hard to make out the glow in dark window. Nice green landscape. I loved the Dome house. Neat! Stay safe. 👍
I was at Moqui Cave in 1977. It was funny and great. The owner was a hoot and made it a memorable visit. It was nowhere near as developed as the walls were mostly just natural. At the back was a bar/ countertop the owner had made of beautiful slabs in clear poured lucite or epoxy and I had never seen any countertop as beautiful as this bar before. But before we got to it, the owner came over and said "Old Chief Moqui's gonna give you a haircut". I had long wavy hair at the time and laughed at what he said. Today, I wouldn't just laugh because I know a lot more history, but he certainly did not have any hate in what he said. Often the intention of what a person says is important to understand. I was 22 and moving from New York to California and it was one big adventure. The world is a very different place and I appreciate that man and his friendly manner. It wasn't till I got to Kingman that I was informed that the cause of the recent big blackout in New York City was, he whispered, UFO. What a world. In the end, only love and kindness matter.
That was great! I liked the artifacts and the bar, Actually, the whole place was cool. You said it was cool in there temp. Wise, i bet it was! Drone veiws were really nice. So much greenery!!!! Really pretty. And theres that blue sky staying with you still Yay! Ok well thank you for another great video. Be safe. See you next time.
We detoured to Zion 1 yr in Dec, after Thanksgiving. We didn't know that if we'd gone during high season we'd have to be on a shuttle. Hubby's a photographer so that never would've worked. Bryce & Grand Staircase Escalante are on our bucket list so next YT on Bryce will be a great preview for us👍.
you got another subscriber....I'm following you as you go up 89 (since Flagstaff)....very informational and your drone shots are awesome....stay safe, cool, and enjoy your travel and thanks for sharing with us!
Hey! Again, Thank Your for sharing your travels. We’ve driven by this place several times and never stopped. I’m glad you did. I noticed several RVs along the way. People must be starting to travel again. We’re hoping to head north this fall for a few weeks. Love those backroads! Thank you for those drone shots. We really enjoy your music theme too. It creates a sense of excitement whenever it subtly starts up. 😄. How are you doing with the mask thing? It’s a shame to see people in public places refusing to wear masks.
Neat. That cave was the best of the virtual vacation so far. From what I’ve seen on line, that Zion shuttle tour did not get a very good review. I’m kinda glad that you didn’t bother going there.
Another lovely real life vid with local color and pertinent facts for wannabe tourists like me. I've watched almost every video you have put out for well over a year now. The preview really helped me when I went to Jamies van build, the RTR and even an Xscapers convergence. Quartzsite was like I had already been there. I gotta tell you tho, every time you launch the drone from the gravel I cringe when I see all that dust roiling around the lens. If dust gets in the gears or motor, you may need an upgrade sooner than you planned. I got a plastic disk that folds up like some of the sunshades for windshields for my drone. 20 bucks: Homga Drones Landing Pad Universal Waterproof D 75cm/30'' Portable Foldable Landing Pads for RC Drones Helicopter, PVB Drones, DJI Mavic Pro Phantom 2/3/4/ Pro, Antel Robotic, 3DR Solo (Landing pad)
Great video, as usual. I've been to Zion, but never to Bryce, so I'm really looking forward to it. I hope you show some of the places you camp at. I really enjoy that part of your trips.
I went to Zion in 2020 and even though you couldn't drive on every road through it, seemed like the main one was actually open...luckily...I drove all thru that park...I was surprised but the road to angel's landing was closed, which was ok, wasn't gonna do that anyways.
Hi Russ, Another scenic video to watch and enjoy. With this ongoing pandemic, the only vacation I’ll be taking this year is riding “virtual” shotgun with you in your van. Curious . Since we won’t be visiting Zion this trip, are you considering adding Kodachrome Basin State Park to your list of places to visit?
Do not expect much phone service on 12! Don't forget the pie at the pines you are like just a few miles away! I can't wait for the yay on the Hogsback!
We just found your site and love it. Too cool for school! Why did you change from the TT to ford van to a sprinter? Which one do you like better. Gas or diesel? Keep safe! Ever get near Gatlinburg Tn come stay with us. Have full hookups!
Hello Russ , Just wondering what happened to Canav didn't see the town. The red rock was very interesting, how it changes color as you drive down the road. Very Nice!! Thank you. Stay safe. Larry& Linda
Wow! You went a lot higher than you usually do on that last drone shot! NICE!
Utah is a beautiful state. I could spend a year just exploring it.

Thank you for turning me on to the Jackery 500.Had a bad storm come thru and fired that bad boy up and made my night. Thank you again.
Few miles south of that cave is an area called the sand caves. It's a small walk just off of 89 should check it out if you back track to Zion.
Thank you so much for the ride.💙💜💚❤I love Utah. Soon I will be there! Yay!!!
Another good one Russ what a beautiful area you are seeing a lot of great scenery . Thx be careful out there

Hello Russ ,
Just wondering what happened to Canav
didn't see the town.
The red rock was very interesting, how it changes color as you drive down the road.
Very Nice!! Thank you.
Stay safe.
Larry& Linda
You got that fiddle music playing in my head............
hey - rv - you are panning that camera so quick its crossing my eyes !!
Have you ever thought about displaying your Name and RVer TV right below the drivers side window? 😊
when looking up 89 north to the right it looked like a volcanic bench
Yes, I noticed that also. It looked like basalt.
Most cell phones have a built in flshlight, or torch for you Britts.
Nice looking nice
We liked Bryce more than Zion National Park.
The cave was cool.
Welcome to Utah Russ! Thanks for wearing a mask in public. Get ready to wear out your cameras on Highway 12!!!!!
Russ can you share what is the name of that
Song please so I can try to play it with my guitar
Love the trip THANK YOU

Love Zion
You should've got 1 of those hat cam like jbg travels on TH-cam channel
Hi Russ lets roll
Does anybody know the name of the camp ground he past after the cave
Looks like previous 'explorers' carved their names in those cave walls years before it was a tourist trap! LoL
Love rvertv but it hard to follow video to the other might want to mark part one part two keep on travelling
Love Kansan Utah and area
Kanab
I think I want to move to Utah..
Get your fishing pole out.
Just retired. I want to do this too.
❤❤
Been there.
Can you slow down a little I am getting vertigo when you go through museums
Why would anyone get on a shuttle bus in middle of a pandemic?
