I did not expect, at all, to become so emotionally invested in this game. The words to describe the feelings it gives me cannot be succinctly described at this point, but I keep coming back to this idea of "joy in the little things when the world is being set on fire all the time". Clive's life has been defined by tragedy, rage, and regret (among other not-great-places-to-be), but he somehow is able to find meaning and joy in the simplest things. A quick chat with Jill will get him through, just for today. This song encapsulates that feeling so perfectly. Final Fantasy forever.
