In most kids' shows, the teachers are either the voices of reason or they're somewhat antagonistic, but over time the kids learn they're not so bad. In iCarly, they're straight up monsters. 😂
In Everybody Hates Chris, Chris would try to get expelled from Corleone Junior High by pulling the fire alarm, only to be thanked by the science teacher because the science classroom was on fire.
Im surprised that the principal in this show is nice, down to earth, and actually relates to the kids. Im most kids shows, the principals are sometimes portrayed as mean, evil and money hungry.
Characters like Principal Torres from Every Witch Way are even greatly evil to the point where they would stalk their student by entering their house and threatening to kill them.
When I was in high school, our detention was the hour before school started. They talked about starting detention on Saturday, but they decided not to.
When I was a kid we didn't have detention for a week or anything like that it if anyone got detention it was only for a few minutes to how long a class could last.
I still highly recommend Arthur as a series to react to. It’s FULL of school-based content. A ton episodes take place at their school, with several key characters being teachers and the school principle.
Actually when I was in the 6th grade I got detention with the principle along with a few other kids and it was scheduled for 6pm to 7pm and the principle wasnt in the same room but he told us we're being watched from the surveillance cameras.
11:45 It takes place in the state of Washington. Washington state law does not dictate that employers must provide leave or pay for a vacation or bereavement, so that is ultimately at the discretion of the principal.
Well Brandon the main reason why it happens is because it's afterhours and most importantly no one is literally there but it can backfire in this case, and in this case the principal caught Howard, good video, there's a episode called ispy a mean teacher where they do the show to show how boring their teachers are
14:41 This reminds me of one time when I was in fifth grade, the cafeteria workers accidentally burnt some toast, and since we had advanced smoke detectors, it triggered the fire alarm automatically. They dealt with the fire instantly, though, so the fire department did not need to come. We still had to evacuate the building, though.
I once did a research on "The Texas' style", and I find two variants about It. The first one Is the one I considere the most common and plausible to be the correct term. It consist on taking the "Víctim's underguards" from both sides, from the normal point, and the front side, and pull them up until It reaches the head, kind of like a "Double Atomic" on the easist term to explain It. The second one, Is the scariest, and looks like It was applied on this show for some reason. It's a wedgie that applied all strength, all power and Time, cause It wont stop until... The Víctim's starts producing "Tomatoe juice", on this scenario It was censure with smoke. Could be considere the most saddic of all wedgies. On my research I would keep the "Texas' wedgies" on the first term, the "Double atomic", It was applied on a Cartoon where someone was attack with all types of wedgies, including this one, and I found most descriptions that fits the "Double style". I really wonder why they apply the horrible version here?
At my school growing up, we had detention on Thursday’s after school. I never went, but my Aunt was a teacher and her classroom was the room they used for detention. So I remember on Thursdays having to be quiet until her contract hours were up since she was my ride home. My mom was also a teacher, but she worked at a different school. Her school was small enough to where they had detention everyday. Sometimes they had a few kids, sometimes none at all. My mom also spent a lot of time doing Saturday detention because apparently she got a good bonus for doing so. Apparently the kids really enjoyed when she would be the detention teacher because she was pretty chill. Normally she’d let them take a break and read for a few minutes as long as they got their work done. I remember this episode being so confusing growing up though. Like why was it so late at night? And why couldn’t they just reschedule the web show? Detention can’t last that long right? Hour to two hours max?
I’ve just been introduced to your videos and I love them! The best part of it for me is that a lot of these shows are among those that I grew up with. It’s interesting to hear them analyzed from your point of view.
Another great episode of iCarly that you could react to is called "iPromise Not To Tell" where Sam changed Carly's, hers, and Freddie's report card grades on the school computer
How do you get detention voluntarily? When I was in middle school, I want to spent lunch in lunch detention. But the teachers said “no go sit at the other tables. But I wanted to isolate and unfortunately I couldn’t leave the cafeteria so I had to suffer.😤
The hall pass thing reminded me of the one they have in Invader ZIM, it’s just whole radiator that says ‘hall pass’ on the side and they have to drag it through the school😭
The only reason Mr. Howard chose not to stay in the room most of the time is just for the sake of advancing the episode's plot so that the main characters can have an excuse to do something no matter how inappropriate it may seem. This happens a lot in most Nickelodeon shows.
4:01, now I want you to react to Shark Boy and Lava Girl (mostly for the scene of “I did not! Mr Electric, send him to the Principal’s office and have him expelled!”)
I only ever got detention once in middle school because a bully and his friends attacked me, but oddly enough the detention happened during the school day. I found it so weird as I expected I’d have detention after school, and for them to tell my dad to pick me up at 3 instead of 1.
14:59 I find that title confusion (Scarlett’s Web) very funny because Nickelodeon made the 2006 movie version of Charlotte’s Web, so this can’t be for copyright or trademark reasons because they also own iCarly.
Not sure if this would actually register as a code of proper discipline, but I have heard that some teachers would punish all their student based on the misconduct of one student's actions if they are unable to identify the student responsible for the misconduct. Then there is the situation of the teacher threating to give all their students detention as punishment for another students misconduct and assigning extra homework. These situations of course were more common in elementary and middle school. 27:34 Sometimes, i wondered if teachers generally made up their own rules of punishment, knowing that their students would not be able to question or challenge it. I wonder if this has ever happened to anyone else.
Mr. Howard is busted. Principal Brown is one of the best characters in the show. He allows Carly and her friends to do their web shows and he loves them 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🤣🤣🤣
I remember having detention a couple of times in grade school (don't remember what for though). The gym couch, Ms. Zymmer/Zimmer (can't believe I still remember her after all these years), was in charge of detention. Basically, she had us do our homework and after we were finished with that, we had to either write a sentence 10 or 100 times. Or we had to write down words from the dictionary - the word and the definition. I had detention for a couple of more days, but she let me and the other students off the hook because some other students who were supposed to be in detention with us left without permission. They ran right pass the window and she left with some others to chase them. Said sense we stayed we could leave and whatever remaining days we had we didn't have to do them anymore.
This is a great episode, I sadly did get a detention and an out of school suspension while in school. I can't exactly remember what they were for though. I think I was acting up or something else
I enjoyed this a great deal. iCarly is one of my favorite shows from childhood and I still greatly enjoy watching it. Looking forward to more iCarly reactions especially the newer season from 2 on are very good
23:35 He isn’t wrong when comparing his hearing to a hawk’s hearing. Normally, people make comparisons to hawks if they have good eyesight, but they also have excellent hearing. I’ve also seen some people make comparisons to owls for both senses.
Thank you very much Mr. Principal, this was an excellent video. I don't know if anyone has suggested this, but if you're thinking about doing another iCarly reaction in the future, the episode, "I Promise Not to Tell" might be a good one. We're talking about students hacking into the school's system.
When I was in middle school 6th grade, I got lunch detention for a day. So lunch detentions is where students would have to eat in the classroom instead of the cafeteria. So the reason I got lunch detention (which was the only time I ever got in trouble in school) was this. My last class for the day was science and the teacher told us at the end of the day to put our chairs onto the table so the janitors could clean the floors easily. At my table which four students including my self sat at, I and three others put our chairs up and one didn’t. So the whole table got lunch detention because of one student. During the lunch detention only me and one other student from the table attended the lunch detention. So I guess you would say I got in trouble for no reason.
iCarly was a bit after my time and a bit before my son's time, so I've seen very little of it, but I did enjoy watching this episode and hearing all of your commentary for it! Have you got any more Hey Arnold in your watching schedule? Cheers!

That surveillance system Freddie set up for his locker makes absolutely no sense. Next time someone opens the locker, the thief could just take the camera.
My school didn't really have detention they had a thing called lunch detention where you had to report to the office and they made you eat lunch there which sucks if you wanted to leave campus and get food at a restaurant but if you brought food or you ate hot lunch which is the cafeteria in the school it didn't really suck
I told you about a show called the replacements Episode was about bullying. I just remembered the title was called insecurity guard another episode called Conrad Day off which also detention and I’m not gonna spoil it let’s just say what happens in will definitely be dark humor the principal do anything to make money also at the show goes on a lot of staff being replaced. It will be very funny
Can’t remember if I commented on this, but the high school I went to for 9th and 10th grade, we had uniforms. They were just basic light blue polo shirt or a dark blue sweatshirt with hoodie and I think black pants. I’ve always wore the dark blue sweatshirt. Apparently you have to also wear the light blue polo shirt underneath the sweatshirt. I didn’t know that. A teacher told me to take my sweatshirt off, I told them I didn’t have anything underneath it and I got detention. I think it was a in school detention. But detention itself wasn’t bad. The teacher sitting in for detention was nice and we blew up balloons for I guess an upcoming pep rally or something.
I love your reaction to this episode. I watched this episode a lot and it’s really funny your reaction to them getting detention is pretty classic and away. I’ve gotten detention before when I was in my old high school and it can be pretty boring pretty much but I’d like to see more of your reactions to more iCarly stuff. Suggest you watch iSpy I mean teacher that’s a good one.
I dont really understand why they were trying so hard to do something elaborate to get detention. It's not that hard to just interrupt a class and refuse to listen to the teacher when they tell you stop, is it?
There actually is a description of what a Texas wedgie is. And I hope this won't get blocked for censorship reasons. Basically, it's a regular wedgie & then you dump hot sauce down someone's pants so it could go wedgied up someone's butt. 😬
I haven’t heard of the Texas wedgie before, even though that’s the state I live in. I’ve heard of the atomic wedgie and much less often the killer wedgie.
Presumably the teacher is planning to omit Carly’s actions in her claim due to some television logic that would stop her from getting the benefits. Hence the “absolutely not”. Also quite happy to see you doing this one. This show was a little more grounded in Season 1. A little. iGoNuclear for the show’s take on Earth Day projects.
Well if he sees Breakfast Club he better see Cobra Kai the spin off Net Flix series of Karate Kid. That series has a bunch of school related stuff and lessons in it.
I remember the last getting detention in school I got out of by hiding some open up milk in principles office and after the weekend I had to go all way to detention for more days but by then secretary and the principle was staying out of the office for half the and the following day the smell was so bad they could barely go into the office and then by Friday they closed the entire office down and we had to use the high school office if we needed to use it but they never could find it until day 30 of the spoiled milk smell and at that point they thew out the carpet and removed everything out side and searched thew everything until they found 4 open containers of spoiled milk and I got away with because no one knew who did it but the kids in detention me and two other kids never would get detention again no matter what we did
An ICarly episode I would recommend is "Ihave a Lovesick Teacher," where a teacher, Ms Ackerman, starts dating Carly's brother, Spencer.
The one where they drop the comedy and just do a straight up domestic violence case
Thanks i
Ms Ackerman was awful and controlling. No wonder her ex boyfriend and Spencer didn't want her
She wasn't an good girlfriend for Spencer 😡👩🏫

Thanks for sharing this - interesting! 👍
Mr Howard: hello viewer freaks!
Johnny: you really not supposed to be here
Mr Howard: you’re wasting my life.
Drake: security!
Great video as usual and also recommend the principal office videos there very funny :)
Thanks 😊
Your welcome 😁
I love your reaction to this episode. I watched this episode a lot and it’s really funny your reaction to them getting detention is pretty classic and away. I’ve gotten detention before when I was in my old high school and it can be pretty boring pretty much but I’d like to see more of your reactions to more iCarly stuff. Suggest you watch iSpy I mean teacher that’s a good one.
Thanks for your comment and for watching! 😎👍
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts you’re welcome your reaction videos to iCarly and SpongeBob is pretty amazing
@brodiger Thanks
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts you’re welcome ☺️
The show takes place in Seattle which is were I grew up
Cool!
Episode 23 seaon 1 of The Amazing World of Gumball is all about school with aome great humor tossed in.
11:47 well apparently Carly lives in Seattle
Awesome reaction of my favorite iCarly episode!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
I dont really understand why they were trying so hard to do something elaborate to get detention. It's not that hard to just interrupt a class and refuse to listen to the teacher when they tell you stop, is it?
True! I guess it wouldn’t be as funny that way…
Been waiting for this one! 🙂
How about "iSpy a Mean Teacher" next?
That one is on my list. Next will be iPromise Not To Tell. 👍
Me neither.
I've been waiting for this since the last iCarly episode
Awesome!
Thanks 👍
A good Saturday detention movie is breakfast club
Well if he sees Breakfast Club he better see Cobra Kai the spin off Net Flix series of Karate Kid. That series has a bunch of school related stuff and lessons in it.
I remember the last getting detention in school I got out of by hiding some open up milk in principles office and after the weekend I had to go all way to detention for more days but by then secretary and the principle was staying out of the office for half the and the following day the smell was so bad they could barely go into the office and then by Friday they closed the entire office down and we had to use the high school office if we needed to use it but they never could find it until day 30 of the spoiled milk smell and at that point they thew out the carpet and removed everything out side and searched thew everything until they found 4 open containers of spoiled milk and I got away with because no one knew who did it but the kids in detention me and two other kids never would get detention again no matter what we did
Wow! 😮 😂
love your reactions to my fav shows! I recommend any school related episode of Hannah Montana lol
I’m glad you enjoyed it! 👍
Your face at 3:05
It was funny 😆
Got detention once for telling a teacher off for not listening to me
Yeah…. When you cross those lines it becomes problematic even if the teacher did something like that.
i remember there was a girl who wanted detention on purpose because she said she had nothing to do!
Wow lol 😂
This takes place in Seattle Washington
Thanks!
The state that this show is based in is Seattle Washington state
If Mr. Howard acts like this so much then i feel so bad for his wife because she probably has to put up with that, constantly
28:22 if I was in the teacher’s position, I’d have just called the police. I’m gonna keep chasing you. Surrender or leave.😑
