People are investing gold as paper gold rather than physical gold which is why the jewellery industry is under pressure. Jewellers loot the people while buying and selling in ornament gold. Even if you have a gold coin you can only exchange it for ornaments not as a cash. Gold as a jewellery is not an investment.
