i recently cut my hair short, like a big chop. just for a quick style (i wake up at the last minute everyday, because i try to sleep as much as possible), i do turbans everyday. my friends and teachers think im "scared" of showing people my "short and natural" hair, like NO, i don't care about what people think about my hair. I just don't feel like doing it in the morning..like why you all up in my business anyway??
SAMEEEE I cut my hair last year in June and now it's at the awkward length. It's too long to sponge and finger coil quickly, however it's too short for twist, perm rods and Bantu knots , which are the protective styles that I like to keep it in for weeks. So I just wear cute head wraps but I've been doing the same two styles . But yea people be coming at me "wHaTeVEN iS tHeRe TwO coVEr ??" "wHaT R u HiDiNG?"

I have been doing head wraps/ turbans for quite a while.... but as you said sometimes your scarves just wants to be "mean" one particular day. 4:20 I had no idea that I was suppose to just twist vs making a tie like tying a shoelace. When I tell you, I cried. When this head wrapped worked. I have tried for years and watched so many videos of the wrong way to do this. YOU helped me navigate the right way & I am so thankful! Omg.. I'm just looking in the mirror at my bun, so proud haha

I haven't lost all my hair, but what I have left isn't suitable to go out in public with (cancer drug causes bald spots and thinning). The "chemo scarf" look just advertises what I'm going through and I just want to look normal. I don't know if I can carry off this look, but it looks so fun and fabulous. It's great to see other styles, and scarves confuse me, so much love to Jay @faceovermatter for creating this video. Trying to look good while you feel like crap is difficult! Hello Jae, thank you for the tutorial video. At age 70, finally, I've embraced my natural tight curl pattern: it has been a long-journey with quite a few false-starts. One of the issues have been those "not-so-great-oh-dear-GOD-help-me" hair days. Well, today, I purchased three head wraps from Afro Accessories. Hmm, the cloths seem quite large - just hoping it will not be overwhelming when I receive my package. Perhaps I'll post a photo of myself. Remember, "God is Love, and LOVE never fails." LorettaH

I'm here to learn how to wrap my head. Im transitioning going on 3 months now and I have no patience to do any type of protective style. Nor do I know how to do them. I just wear head bands. I'm definitely going to be watching more of these videos. I like this style better.

My dad (Samoan and European) has super curly hair and my mom (Hispanic and European) has curly hair too. For most of my life, my hair was too thick to curl so there was always a slight wave. After losing most of my hair due to medicine and sickness, and after finally just shaving it all off, it started growing back ridiculously curly so now I'm trying to figure out how to style it and take care of it. This video was incredibly helpful, so thank you ♡

hi :) this might be a bit controversial , I'm a white girl and because of severe depression I'm loosing my hair . I want to hide the bald spots and also the product I'm using to grow it out can not be exposed to the sun .I've always loved bright colours and wearing hats is really not my thing . I was wondering if it's okay to wear a turban without being disrespectful . My grandmother has alopecia and has been wearing a scarf since forever on her head , though i've never seen anyone wear it the way she does . I love all the styles that were showed in the video but I don't know if it's okay for me to wear them . would love some opinions and loved the video btw you are so beautiful !

You got nice hair if it can slick with eco style gel lol. I’m always impressed with people’s hair how so many textures reacts to products different. My sister hair is like 2a and edge control doesn’t work on her hair gel does. And my hair is 4c my hair only slicks with edge control. 🙆♀️

Your hair looks beautiful. It's a shame that when we are young we never think we look pretty but when we get old we look back and realize how pretty we were. I have experienced a lot of hair loss in the past few years so I look at you and see a beautiful face, a beautifully shaped head, and no bald spots showing on your head. Don't underestimate how beautiful that is. And thank you for showing me some tricks on how to wrap scarves as I have finally decided that that might be my only solution to my embarrassment over the hair loss.
