Covered the beginning of Skypiea, and made some changes to either meet network restrictions (such as removing Sanji's cigarette), or be consistent with the 4Kids dubs naming (Zolo instead of Zoro) since it was continuing right where 4Kids left off
one piece was done dirty by 4kids, it couldve been dbz-tier if it wasnt censored and the voice acting was more serious. still, ive got a soft spot for french mihawk and australian shanks
Feels weird really watching these videos. Like reliving my childhood before the switch to funimation though I like their dub for DBZ and maybe Black Clover. lol
I find it funny how the second promo kinda sounds like the shanks we have in the Funimation dub narrating it, but then the 4kids dub has Australian shanks
Willing to bet it’s the same guy who voiced Rick from the Kirby anime, since 4Kids liked to be a cheapskate and hire the same VAs for all of their shows.
@NuggetSandwich Still it is very hurtfull to fans of the original anime that it's ben made a kids show by 4kids. It really dosen't give it the respect it deserves. It is like if they turned Titanic into a little pink boat and cut off the music and the sad scenes. It hurts us really that the americans came to know one piece like that cause it's not a unserious kid show. It really showed us something and that they are just taking that from it... Hope you understand it is just how we feels.
did i say that it was a fact? no i didn't. i watched the show originally on toonami so its hard getting used to my favorite characters having different voices when watching the funimation version. so in my opinion these were the best
@smaradt It wasn't destroyed. It wasn't as if every single trace of the original One Piece had been erased from the earth and replaced with 4kids version. If you don't like 4kids, you don't have to watch it.
