You would indeed be correct. "Any friendly models within 6" of [the declaring Hero's starting point] may also move, so long as they end their move within 6" of the Hero (if they are not able to end their move within 6" of the Hero then they may not move at all this phase)." SBG Rule Manual, Page 69
A bit late, but for future games: I don't think the Dwarf King is allowed to Heroic Strike. It's not listed in his profile, and the rules no longer allow every hero to call a Strike (it has to be listed in their profile, like in Durin's). Azog's six in that combat should have won.

After watching these battle reports it seems there's something resembling a game again.
I think Azogs Hunters had a good chance against the dwarfs, tactics were just a bit lacking. I like this because it shows someone new and making mistakes. The main thing though is they enjoyed themselves and will learn from it, as will other people new to the game and watching this. Good stuff.

The rule doesn’t specify that it’s applied only in melee combat so they should have also a +1 in the shooting fase or not?
Regarding Azog's first fight... if I am not mistaken, when in combat mounted on a warg you can choose to use the warg's fight value instead of the rider if desired. Azog's fight value went down to 4 due to feigning but the white warg's fight value is 5. Therefore, after spending a might point to get a 6, Azog and the white warg should have won that combat automatically instead of rolling off (and losing that roll off). Would have saved a wound, some fate, knocked all those dwarves to the ground making them extremely slow next turn if any survived, and a fair few dwarves would have likely died due to double strikes as well.

However, at the 30min mark where you did that fight with the warg cavalry against that warrior, cavalry dont get the extra attack for charging a model that is defending a barrier, and they don't knock them prone. Further, Bolg would have occupied the space that the warrior was occupying that he killed as he gets to leap over if he kills the model he was fighting.
Hey Luca, i like to watch those Middle-Earth BatReps. But i really dont get those basic rules. I there a possibility you (maybe you two) could make a basics video. Keep up with those. And it would be great if you get the camera a bit closer to the models while showing the armies at the start. greedings from Germany!
If I am not mistaken, the warg rider charging into the dwarf defending the barrier should not have gotten the normal cavalry charging bonuses of extra attack and knock to the ground because of the defending barrier rules (or perhaps he still gets extra attach - but definitely not knock to the ground, can't remember off the top of my head). Also, when Bolg killed the dwarf defending the barrier, he should have automatically jumped over the barrier - placing him in a better position to kill the rest of the dwarves behind it without taking in the way tests before wound rolls.
I think that you would have done better to focus on the dwarves that left cover in that initial engagement, so that you could almost definitely kill them, rather than charging his main force with your leader. you could also surround him, making him take double the wounds.
thta khazad dum list would be better if u swap 3 hearth guards for a banner. They have only 1 attack and no spear support so abnner re-roll comes in huge for them.

Definitely, I feel like Warhammer 40k and age of sigmar aren't tactical enough, you can basically tell when someones going to win on the second turn.
And it is even better when you don't get super important rules wrong :D

You can choose to attack with the warg or the rider. You can’t take the fight value or a different stat unless you use the warg or rider

Not for the defender fighting over a wall. As Bolg charged into them the dwarves are the defenders and so don't have to roll 'in the way' tests.

i am torn i don't want my khazad bretherin to die but i also want luca to win one sicne every game i've watched he's had terrible dice rolls.
I've had some horrendous luck when it comes to MESBG. Luckily it's the kind of game I could lose endlessly and still have a great time.
