Thanks for featuring that bike from Sideways, thats what carbon should be! Had never heard of them before which is what this kind fo show is all about!
I was there over the weekend and it was super. Ricky Feather bikes looked outrageously good. The craftsmanship, fit and finish are in a different league. Just my 2 cents.
Totally agree when done well hand made carbon frames can be special! I have a hand made Tommasini Carbon VLC2, with custom carbon lay up, custom geometry and a unique special Tommasini bottom bracket! Superb frame bike, which sadly is no longer made.
I had thought Velocity had disappeared at one time here in Australia they were huge but low and behold at Fyxo's Made bike show this weekend gone they had a booth and a big range of rim profiles and colours.
I should seriously ask her to build me a fast endurance bike. Wouldn't be any more expensive than a Giant Defy SL frameset. I want that 386EVO Bottom Bracket. I some ways I like that better than a T-47 for a DUB or 30mm spindle.
My you tube has been invaded with 'modern' content. I suppose i only have myself to blame. Anyway, this vid was like fresh air. MORE BSPOKE PLEASE!!!! (Reap was pretty cool!)
Hi, do you remember what happened to UK brand Windy Milla? They used to make custom carbon bikes in The UK. However, all their social media accounts are gone. So is their official website. What happened?
It’s a game of expectations. Can you really expect a fully assembled £1000 bike to be completely perfect? There are so many limitations of skill labour time and materials to get that price. However a bike marketed as high performance and high quality with a corresponding price tag, should be well… perfect.
her bikes shouldnt have imperfections unless she wanted that look on purpose. a mold can be made perfect and any imperfections can easily be sanded out.
The bikes on the Craft Bikes stand and the customer focussed engagement from Jim and Chloe was truly outstanding! Conversely, Reilly didn’t engage with this female buyer at all. Not even a hello. I went straight back to Craft, where I’d felt valued, and bought from them. Brilliant couple 🙌
Congratulations on the new bike. Amazing. I couldn’t get a chat with Craft sadly. I think all sales reps at these shows have a low energy blip at times. It’s long hard days for them and not everyone gets the best service. I did manage to speak with Reilly and learnt a lot from them. Must have caught them at a good time.
@@Mapdec, Paul, that’s a valid consideration. Looking forward to the whole process and input of getting a handcrafted build. Maybe I’ll bring it up when it’s built - you’re welcome to do a review for the channel, if you are in the 5”7 ballpark.
Can't stop but feeling sad that China has basically all of the bike market, has production excellence, is now innovating aggressively, and what you find in the West is a bunch of hipsters and nerds making micro runs of things by hand, presumably by passion rather than out of a business mindset. Feels like s textbook example of deindustrialization.
The Athertons are well known and well proven riders in the Dowhill scene. Rachel and Gee have both won the Championship. Their frames are on another level

Really appreciate the coverage, thank you! Most press skipped us at the show
Most press aren’t mechanics I guess.
Most press are just paid marketing BS.
Love the hand-built carbon fiber frames. Also love the 3d printed lugs to pair with carbon fiber tubes for custom designs.
Rah, check out those tan lines 💪🏻👌🏻 Good work
Realy love this kind of content! More please!
I went to Bespoke in Bristol. Incredible skills on show by people with a real passion for their craft.

Great video! Thanks Paul!
Great video. I can also recommend the INDYMAN beer festival which takes place in the same old swimming baths. Beautiful old building!
Interesting video, great to see how creative people can be
nice tan lines / paint job....
So proud of them. You should see my calfs 🤗
Wow awesome place to go at as a bike enthusiast
Was there yesterday and today and was very impressed with all the exhibitors. Thanks for your comments and highlighting a few of the stands.

The Reap Vekta is an amazing bike. But Reap were a no-show at the Cyclist Magazine track day earlier this year too. Hope they are ok.
I had thought Velocity had disappeared at one time here in Australia they were huge but low and behold at Fyxo's Made bike show this weekend gone they had a booth and a big range of rim profiles and colours.
That was epic
Would love to know more about Reap bikes.
More of this, please. Artisans, innovators and bespokers should have the spotlight on them more often.
Nice work Paul. Looking svelte;)
the jersey tan go HARD!
Yep
@7:40…aren’t Hope making MTB frames by conventional molding in the UK?
Love the Tanlines 😂

Sharp tan lines 🔥😎
1:31 3k GBP is bonkers for what it is! 3k USD gets one a Madone SL. Not SLR, just the SL!

Did you look at zed wheels in the booth next to ryan builds wheels?
Yes. Really interesting chap. I hope we can speak to him more.
The parts of the Reilly appear to be cast, not 3D printed, but I'm not sure.
I’ll check.
Have you tried colnago g3x?
Handmade and custom built is not always synonymous with a good product. More of a sculpture than a high-end machine.
so. where were the bikes?
Are there any bikes under $1000 (790.65 GBP) that don't have design and/or manufacturing defects?

I am very proud of the first artisan, but the fiber/resin ratio is sort of terrifying😬

Lots of truth here.
Too much you, not enough bikes.

I've got an AM.130 on order, can't wait.
