I love how he never noticed how small the 2nd Speedrunner was and the fact he had no health when bouncing on the Lava
that's bc in mario 64, mario can bounce on lava. but the lava bouncing still works even if mario doesn't have any more health. also mario is small in that game because there are no mushrooms in mario 64.
No wonder the 4 hearts speedrunner was doing good and a tad small, he was M A R I O

He was using me a mod where you could play as Mario. That's also why he was able to bounce across the lava. In Mario 64, when Mario touches lava he leaps into the air after burning himself, allowing you to just Skip pass an area if you have enough health

That's a weird quirk with the SM64 mod. I think the only way Mario is programmed to trigger Minecraft's death condition is if he goes into his own death animation, which lava bouncing does not do, as the original game just boots you out of the level while you continue to bounce on lava.

3:54 this is because of a mod that lets you play as mario from mario 64 (as in the physics from that game) in minecraft (i know because ive played the mod and those sounds are from mario 64) (the reason he bounces on lava is because in mario 64 mario bounces on the lava and takes damage while doing it in the game)
