Literally zero rollers will do that in higher level play, just paint along the ground at you... Literally zero

That hasn't been announced yet, don't think it will happen, think it was scrapped late in development

James David Actually, some guy went into the game's files after the update and found a fully functioning octoling that wasn't there before the update. He even tested it online with a friend, and both people could see the octoling. So they might be here soon.

I know that no one else probably cares about this, but as someone with a brother that also really likes Splatoon, I think it would be nice if the next update added Turf War, Splat Zones, Tower Control, and Rain Maker to local multiplayer, and maybe add Balloon battle to online (but make it 4v4).
Sweet summer me back in 2017 loved this game, even if i only played story mode. Now splatoon 3 is out and I'm having the same fantastic time
I was really skeptical about this game at first but after hearing so many good things about it and hearing about all the free updates I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. It's so much fun

Splatoon is the kind of game where you do need the whole screen to be competent. Split screen multiplayer would ruin the experience. And you would probably need more gamepads for it to work.
Unfortunately, the Wii U didn't manage to grab the amount of people Nintendo expected, which is why there isn't a single piece of software that supports 2 gamepads. Miyamoto said they had a couple of demos working but since the audience didn't grow they stopped working on them.
Love the heavy spkatling!
A couple of things I think needed to be in this update.
Being able to use your Wii Remote and Numchuck as another controller option. For 2 player and solo, GamePad can still be used for a map.
Day and Night cycle.
Hair and maybe trouser customization.
Being able to swap main and sub wepones with your different wepones classes.
Four mapes our chosen for battles, not just two, plus map voting.
2/10 too much awesome,

This game has received so much free content and support. I hope this is a ongoing trend with other Nintendo games in the future.
Splatoon 2 enticed me a couple years ago, but I only had the bravery to try its predecessor a couple weeks ago. This title was innovative and fun for many people, and will always be remembered by our community as the good old days.
Can't wait for it!
