Honestly, I think Shoto and his whole family had it pretty bad because of their mom and dad, which both of them were kind of abusive to each other to a certain extent
It all started with Endeavor's greedy jealousy over All Might. He basically abused everyone in the family, and I can't blame the mom for throwing hot water on Shoto or neglecting the other kids, let alone she can't do anything in front of Endeavor while he does these things. If I were a Todoroki, I'd sympathize mom for what happens. I don't understand why they have police and laws yet they can't look at the domestic abuse done by the 2nd best Hero for more than 10 yrs. Money talks I guess
@@marksilao6145 that's the hard reality + you shouldn't sympathy your abuser just because someone else got abused does not give them a free pass to abuse others ESPECIALLY their most loved one's, yes it what happened to her for more than 10 years was enough to make her act like this but not to justify it
Let me rephrase it then, Deku was alienated from his peers at age 4 because of his quirkless status and was bullied for it for 11 years. Without the presence of a father figure.
Midoriya: “My toes weren’t weird.” Todoroki: _*abused by his father, scarred by his mother, almost killed by his brother_ Toga: _*repressed herself to be normal and liked by everyone and lied about it all, knowing her true self who she wished to express would be rejected and hated by everyone, and when she decided to express herself like others for the first time, she was right_ Dabi: _*born in a world of superpowers with a power that would only harm himself, forcing him to watch everyone be free to pursue their dreams of heroism, the one thing that caught his father’s attention and forced him to live outside of his family’s eyes_ Shigaraki: _*born with a power that draws him to slaughter and destruction, killing his own family and leaving him outcast by the entire world just for being born_ Eri: _*literally almost the same as Shigaraki, born with a mutated quirk that caused her to kill her family, leaving her to be experimented on and broken apart repeatedly for the yakuza to develop a drug_ Not to belittle the feeling of being quirkless or anything, but if you are comparing the WORST backstories, Midoriya really can’t compare since the others are dark examples of people who were hurt by the powers they are born with. Midoriya considered quirks to be a blessing, but others show just how sugarcoated that thought actually is and how much of a curse they can be. Todoroki was born for the sake a stronger quirk but his family was near ruined because of that goal. Dabi was born with an incompatible quirk and couldn’t overcome his weakness, developing a self-destructive personality reflecting his self-destructive quirk. Toga was born with a quirk people could only see as “evil”, but it was her way of expression and showing love. Her true self was rejected by the world around her and even her own family as they only saw her true self as a freak in a world of myriad powers and mutants. Shigaraki and Eri were born with mutations leading to unpredictable events which killed their loved ones and led them down a path of continued suffering. In the end, in a world of superpowers, people are still dealt a bad hand.
@@Just_Indra He was bullied by one guy who he literally kept on following out of his own volition and even secret admiration. Honestly I don't think that's true, the traumas experienced by the different character are all different and help to accentuate the development and motivations of those characters. Every person ends up down a certain path in life, and often, our experiences as children heavily reflect that path. For instance all of the villians have some sort of traumatic backstory, which a lot of people think is some type of hamfisted justification for their actions, but in reality it's just showing you how they ended up in the situation they're currently in. You don't just wake up one day and decide to be a terrorist, more likely than not you're either groomed into being one or you experience trauma so awful in your life that your hatred and need for retribution puts you at such great odds with something (whether that be a government, a group of people, a specific individual, etc.) that you're willing to kill over it. And for the heroes, their trauma can represent the flip side of that and show that great trauma from a young age can inspire someone to try and change the world around them and help to make sure others don't have to experience the same thing they did. If you were to go up to a group of terrorists and a group of foreign aid volunteers and ask them their life stories or the reason they do what they do, I bet you it will relate largely to an incredibly traumatic or impactful event in their life that spurred them to take strong and decisive action to change the world they see around them.

your comparing someone with a big ego from his childhood to people who killed they parents on accident
Yes, I know, but bakugou was always expected to do great things even at a young age, and if he didn't,he would fall apart or almost.P.S.I ment Bakugo's mom abused him,my bad😅
Reaching so hard
@@Yessir292i2 i think they’re saying his mom was emotionally abusive /to/ him. Growing up he was treated like kids irl are in the gifted program. Constantly told about the potential they had and even putting that over their wellbeing. His mom slaps him around constantly saying its to ‘keep him in check’ and even blamed him for getting kidnapped because he was ‘weak’. That on top of everyone around him having high expectations and he grew a big head because of that, but also put insanely high expectations of himself that crushed him when he realized others were also gifted and he felt he couldnt keep up. Basically he gained a really bad inferiority complex. Even the heroes helping him from the slime monster, the first thing they said wasnt ‘are you ok’ or ‘are you hurt’ or ‘heres where the medic is get checked out’, they literally just raved about his awesome quirk. A kid. So ya hes a product of the environment he grew up in, which caused him to internalize so much, even blaming himself for getting kidnapped and saying he caused all mights early retirement.
Deku must have been disappointed to find out his dad is a pirate helping a rubber kid😂
Nah zoro really did it😅
Everyones childhood being emotional and sad:
Bakugo's childhood: *I'm just better than everyone else!*
@@marksilao6145 that's the hard reality
+ you shouldn't sympathy your abuser just because someone else got abused does not give them a free pass to abuse others ESPECIALLY their most loved one's, yes it what happened to her for more than 10 years was enough to make her act like this but not to justify it
If Kamu woods had his own documentary about him it would be a natural documentary
Jfc bro I ain’t even gotten as far as some of the introductions fir these characters and I already feel bad for them
WAIT THIS IS RANDOM BUT THE PHOTO OF DEKU HUGGING HIS CHILD SELF MADE MY HEART MELT 😭😭😭😭😭
You forgot eri was also abandoned by her mom after she killed her dad some people forget that part
It's like half the characters had a traumatic childhood. Didn't realise that untill now 😅
Worse thing is all this could actually happen and even be worse if quirks existed in the real world
And Bakugo was the only one with a set of parents that loved and cared for him
Deku Isn’t fatherless his dad is just out there helping a rubber boy become the king of the pirates
Nah bro it becoming a documentary is crazy 💀
I think it was ME!
KONO DIO DA
Your next line will be
"Is that a JoJo's reference?"
Dabi went through it and just to die in his family's hands for they finally acknowledged him
Shigaraki was so traumatized his hair changed color
The first one got me so off guard 😭😭😂😭😂
Never knew that bakugous dragon looking friend was a nomu
This is why I'm making a fanfict. To give people happy endings.
So basically most of the main characters
I see all of the childhood the worst the kids had to go through as a kid
Bruh after watching MHA in 2016 I didn't know about this 💀
they are all bad no one's trauma can over lap another bc they have all been through tough times ❤❤😢😢
Well Deku and Shigaraki trauma are not on the same level
True
Some people can go through it 😢
@@Heavenlydemon1812Yeah deku shouldn’t even be on this list
@@khalilmanli6790 for real other than a little bullying, his life isn’t that bad
The real question is what on earth happened to Kamui Woods? 😭
is no one gonna talk about how Tsubasa got turned into a Nomu?!
Blud thinks Deku is in the team.
Deku wasn’t even that tragic compared to them
Let me rephrase it then, Deku was alienated from his peers at age 4 because of his quirkless status and was bullied for it for 11 years. Without the presence of a father figure.
These characters should go on americas got talent
Mine, I got grounded once
"Izuku...your dad is becoming the strongest swordsman..."
Midoriya: “My toes weren’t weird.”
Todoroki: _*abused by his father, scarred by his mother, almost killed by his brother_
Toga: _*repressed herself to be normal and liked by everyone and lied about it all, knowing her true self who she wished to express would be rejected and hated by everyone, and when she decided to express herself like others for the first time, she was right_
Dabi: _*born in a world of superpowers with a power that would only harm himself, forcing him to watch everyone be free to pursue their dreams of heroism, the one thing that caught his father’s attention and forced him to live outside of his family’s eyes_
Shigaraki: _*born with a power that draws him to slaughter and destruction, killing his own family and leaving him outcast by the entire world just for being born_
Eri: _*literally almost the same as Shigaraki, born with a mutated quirk that caused her to kill her family, leaving her to be experimented on and broken apart repeatedly for the yakuza to develop a drug_
Not to belittle the feeling of being quirkless or anything, but if you are comparing the WORST backstories, Midoriya really can’t compare since the others are dark examples of people who were hurt by the powers they are born with.
Also Deku had to live with being bullied
@@Just_Indra He was bullied by one guy who he literally kept on following out of his own volition and even secret admiration. Bakugou never went out of his way to bully Midoriya, he bullied Midoriya because Midoriya kept following him.
He can complain about it, but he doesn't get to use it as a reason since not getting himself bullied by Bakugou was apparently always an option.
@nobuffer101 Dude IT was All of his classmates Bullying him
@@Just_Indra they bullied him as kids would do. But when it came to growing up, throughout their elementary and middle school years, it was primarily Bakugou spearheading it. When he said he applied to UA yeah, his classmates laughed but that doesn’t necessarily count as “bullying” when compared to Bakugou’s “Deku, you’re useless, just kill yourself” attitude.
@@nobuffer101in manga deku past is much darker what they showed on anime.
Bro I finna be giving out hugs like crazy 😭
Also the one good thing shiggy did was kill his alcoholic bastard dad who was disapproving on top of that I would say that would be the only going good thing shiggy ever did but because he didn’t know how to control his power decay it costed the rest of his family lives as result of this
You think killing someone was justified in this situation ?
@@imbackherepenguinz2 I mean when they are a alcoholic effusive drunk then yeah it would be pretty justified
@imbackherepenguinz2 His Dad was abusive, a hero obviously wouldn't approve but Batman might
It’s kinda crazy how u have a horrible, traumatizing, and Travis backstory, but when u get older, u forget all abt ii and/or still remember it but pretend nothing happened

Wait, that Winged kid who bullied Deku got turned into a Nomu?
Is he the Nomu from Hosu?
yes indeed he is, that's also why in the crowd of ppl, he went for Deku specifically to snatch him away
@@kai9137
I was wonderin about that.
Because in that same scene where it’s toddler deku.
We also see the kid who extends his fingers.
But then the Middle School sections have him but not the demon wings kid.
Glad that this was explained… although it didn’t really need to be ngl.
@@HoseB932 tru, I would've prefered if the Wing-Kid just went to do an exchange year or something, but AfO's Doctor (who is the same Doctor that told Deku he was quirkless) is either the Wing-Kids uncle or granpa and then just used him as a lab experiment
Imagine being shiva and seeing your family pop like a lego minificureu
I was gonna say now all of them are pretty fucking bad. Good God what the hell😢😢😢
Where he said deku was fatherless killed me😢
You forgot Aoyama and Uraraka. They might not be as bad, but they weren’t great either
I kind of feel like it’s messed up that I can relate to some of these characters and they’re fictional 💀
Genuine question how was overhaul brainwashed
He was in one of All for One’s orphanages. That’s where he first learned about the quirk singularity and started believing quirks are a disease. (Anime cut this)
He wasn't placed in one of OfA's orphanages. It was just unnamed. And he read a book about the theory about Quirks starting from a virus mice had. It lacked hard evidence, but the information stuck with him, making him believe Quirks were a disease.
This short also has misinformation, such as Deku being fatherless. He wasn't.
@@SaiyanGamer95bro check the manga he was in all for one's orphanage. Also deku is mostly fatherless
@JustJabby The orphanage was unnamed. And Deku's father is just working abroad currently.
@@SaiyanGamer95 *a bit spoiler*I think in the latest chapter of mha something related to overhaul's quirk when he was a kid and the orphan. I know he has a father but man he was missing for 10 years and no contact bruh

How do you know some of these. I have not seen they mentioned about theirs childhood traumas

I'm not mad at the comment. I'm mad that you would ask for no pickles
Never knew shouji had such a tragic backstory damn..
This is why you don’t want to give every single character trauma for character development, ITS ALL JUST TRAUMA AND GETTING STALE
