LIKED THE VIDEO, GOING TO USE YOUR METHOD, YOU GOT RIGHT TO THE POINT, YOU TALKED ABOUT IT, AND SHOWED HOW THE LURE WORKED UNDER WATER, YOUR VIDEO IS THE BEST ONE I HAVE SEEN SO FAR, GOING TO GO CATCH SOME BASS.
I used to glue a sassy shad to my hair jig, pushing that sassy up on the hook flares out the hair quite a bit giving it a different look and more action
I fished a much smaller version of this back in the day called a super shad I believe it was from Renowsky lures or something like that best I remember. I fished from the back of the boat with a friend and just threw it everywhere and jigged it up and down back to the boat. I had great luck with that bait.
In my lake is the 2" to 3" shade swim stOrm bait. Got bigger but not much hits like the smaller ones. On a medium power fast or medium heavy moderate action. Just where I bass fish.
This is the first year I am using Berkley powerbait HD Tru color swimbaits in 3 and 4inch. Bluegill 1/4oz yellow perch 7/16oz, Sexy shad 7/16oz, Rainbow Trout 7/16oz. All baits are pre-rigged. I am using a Quantum smoke 7 foot med with a Quantum smoke S3 baitcaster with Sufix siege mono 12lb and a second reel with 14lb. I am a bank fisherman fishing river current here in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. I have used one swimbait a few weeks, lost it where I shouldn't have cast it in a small brush pile about 40 feet out from the riverbank. In current should I stay with a steady retrieve or drag and stop with the swimbait.
It truly is a great bait, blasted multiple good sized bass with it. sadly mother nature had to put an end to my madness by getting it snagged on a lilypad.
I've had these in a couple sizes for years. They need to move the line tie forward though.. J if you really wanna share the juice, tell em how to put a weed guard on it🇺🇸
I can’t believe that there’s talk about this guy paying people to sit on spots for him and nothing happens but the second Jeff sprague is talking to someone he gets disqualified
I found the 4 inch versions way too heavy for shallow water, they plow through the silt or collect huge bunches of salad. The bigger ones have a worse problem. You can tune them by opening the belly with a knife then trimming the lead back by about half with bolt or wire cutters. Re seal the belly with a soldering iron.. With about half the weight the 4 inch work great in water maybe 6 to 10 foot deep.
Just did this to a 6” to fish shallow or from the bank. Very easy to cut the lead with snips once you’ve sliced the belly open i took 1/2oz out of the bait, most of the added weight, but left enough for it to run true, hopefully, and not drop like a rock. Used mend it to seal it back up.
The 5 & 6 inch Wild Eye Shad has account for quite a few giants for me ~ Such a killer bait and a huge sleeper in the category.

I've been fishing that bait for years and it is killer...along with the sun gill and white perch bait
Appreciate it Charles. Thanks for sharing some of your color preferences.
@@Wired2Fishmy gramps started fishing these way back
caught some 20" smallies and a few northern on this yesterday morning, excellent bait
Your set up colors are tight , great video . Much appreciated good luck at stage 6.
Thanks for watching Ray, good fishing to you as well.

I like the little chartreuse/white ones feel like they stand out well in the dirtier water.
Love the pearl 4" for my lake the bass love it so much it has no eyes left! Just ordered another! Awsome video.
It is a staple all around the country!
I have seen these baits catch monster fish in both fresh and saltwater. Also I have seen hair jigs( bucktails) smoke some monster fish.

Great info 🤙🏾
Pretty sure Cabella's has been making this swimbait for years. Although I would assume the action on the Storm model is a little better.
I love it when Jacob Wheeler gets put on here. #ding
Snook also find these appealing. Have one left and will try tossing one for some Bass too
Reminds me of the Megabass Dark Sleeper
perfect vid
Do u use scents on the shad?
Good stuff Jacob! 🎣 👊🏼💯🇺🇸
Thanks for the tips my friend!

I have caught a lot of stripers on the 5 and 6 inch versions .
Would've liked to seen a fish caught on it... I have 4 or 5 of these in my box... never used.. I didn't have much faith Lol
I’m shocked. JW made a bunch of casts and didn’t catch one! Guy is money.
Did I miss the name of this bait??Brand?

i fish these swim baits religiously here in indiana.

Found some 2 inch ones randomly in a box, now here I an
been using them myself. $1.00 at Walmart doesn't hurt either
My only problem with them is how easy they are to get hung up. They need to make a weedless version.
I used to be able to catch fish just slow trolling a swimbait about 1.5mph. Now nothing will touch them.
