I’m sorry but this comment proves nothing. On this side of eternity of course you can ask a mother to ask someone something. Jesus was not the risen savior just yet. Mary Died. Jesus died and rose again. And Jesus loves me that he died for me. Why would I need to go to Mary for Anything after his resurrection for me?

Thats not of God, I am ex Buddhist when I called out to God he revealed me in Jesus himself. God saved me from contemplating suicide. I never even knew he existed until I called out. Well, I too used to be a Protestant Street Preacher, first Reformed and then would have lined up more with Lynn after a few years. I could also quote and recall a lot of scripture and was thought by many to be on fire and filled with the Spirit. I loved and still love the bible but I thank God that I have now experienced God more fully in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church and my introduction was while trying to convert an Orthodox Christian who "went therefore" (Matthew 28:19) in his daily life and spoke of and demonstrated Christ to others, not as a loud mouthed street preacher but as one who applied 1 Thessalonians 1:11 to his own life and made it his aim "to study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands" and 1 Peter 3:15 "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear"

I am an Orthodox from Egypt and I do not understand what the problem is with being Orthodox. I am proud that I do everything that our Lord Jesus Christ says, everything that we have learned from the Bible. We do not worship the saints and we know that our Lord Jesus Christ is the only one who has the ability to forgive our sins of course, the saints do not have this ability we certainly know this. We only ask that they pray for us, and this teaches us to be humble, and because the Bible showed us how the Lord hears and cares about the prayers of His children and how the Lord works through His children The Bible asked us to pray for each other, and if you do not admit that, then you are saying that Saint Paul made a mistake when he said to the Thessalonians: “Pray for us.” (2 Thessalonians 3:1) Paul was a saint and he asked people to pray for them, and this is because he was humble and knew that the Lord hears and cares about the prayers of his children. So how can I, an ordinary person, not have the humility to ask for the prayers of the saints? I love Pastor Lynn, but unfortunately I think he does not know what Orthodox is, because if he knew Orthodox, he would know that we follow and work with all the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ that we learned from the Bible.
When paul said "pray for us" he was talking to the living christians, and he was just normally having a conversation with them, not praying to them so they can pray for him. Of course we do pray for each other, but we can't seek out to dead saints to pray for us. That was never taugh in the bible. We don't see the ancient christians seeking out, or praying to saints who are no longer alive in flesh. Prayer is a different, and unique way of communicating with God. Prayer is different, because it is done in the sole belief of being heard by God. No one other than God is communicated with prayer. If Mary, or any other saints were still alive, I would have asked them to pray for me, as they would have also asked me to pray for them as christian community. And, the other problem is singing praises to saints, and also Mary. Psalms are worships, only that should be given to God.

@@peterehab592 Psalms are worship. We worship the lord with psalms, and making psalms for dead saints ain't worship? When I say dead, I don't mean cease to exist. When I say dead, I mean sleeping saint like paul would call it. They are not active with us and interacting with us. We don't know if they will hear us or not. The only one that can hear prayer is God himself. I am not saying saints in heaven don't pray, they might. But, we have no idea if they will hear our prayers. Asking and praying are different, is what I am saying. My fellow christians might pray for me when I am weak, and that is because I get to ask them because they're next to me and I can deliver my message to them. No way in the bible do we see people praying to saints or to angels. We do no see them singing to saints or angels. These are sacred acts that only should be directed to our father in heaven. Jesus taught to pray to the father with his name. And if we can't find our fellow christians next to us, we have an only only intercessor in heaven, and he is Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5. Why do we bring other practices in the spiritual world when it was not practiced back in the acncient church? They only prayed to God, and they only praised God. And, I don't think we should add anymore because it is being in risk of blasphemy even if there is a chance you guys might be right.

This was not mentioned, but we believe that we are all members of the body of Christ, whether living or dead. Therefore, if it is normal that we ask for prayer from the living, why do we not ask for prayer from the dead in the Gospel of Luke? 15:7 written I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent So we all pray for each other, not specifying that they are only the living. Also, our Lord performed many miracles by using His living children and His dead children. In the end, you will not lose anything when you speak with the saints who died, and if you choose not to speak, you will not benefit anything.

David Lynn saying that countries like the US being prosperous due to Christianity is just silly. The Apostles saw Christ face-to-face and were martyred. They didn't prosper in a worldly sense but were crowned in heaven.

I was studying to become a deacon and I almost became a deacon but I knew almost nothing about Jesus: I even memorized a whole book it’s called “Wedase Mariam” this book is required to be memorized before you become a deacon. That “Wedase Mariam” was in geez and I didn’t even know what the translation was yet I memorized it - now that right there is a paganism my friend. Now I’ve come to the true understanding of Yeshua and the good news he brought. The only thing left for me is to get baptized by David Lynn one day. That’s Verse 1 Timothy 2:15 is about reconciliation to Man and God in terms of saving not about intercession. Intercession vs Meditation Others can intercede for us, but there is only One mediator. You haven't studied Protestantism enough. Sola Scriptura is a false doctrine, which leads to the lukewarm Christianity.

Bad logic, Mary was the First Saint and the only Human to ever live that was Holy and pure enough to have God pass through. I doubt you ever came to Christ. I was raised and taught by an ex-nun who was my mother. I can't guarantee you, ..you could not have been a born again believer and start attending the roman catholic government cult. Jesus is not part of the rcgc. If you've read Gods Word, you would notice, the Book of Romans was specific to the rcgc, so much so, Jesus had written, "they never knew me, nor were they ever from Me". Refereeing to the roman cult. ..I would really suggest you to go back to Gods Word. Remember, Mary also had to accept Christ, and she was a blessed woman, but not God, where she prays for you. As an orthodox this needs more clarifcation. You pray to mary because she is the most blessed of all women to ever touch the earth, on the the other hand her mother is not. You pray to Jesus because he is the path to forgiveness and god. You don't pray to mary so she can erase your sins but so that she can beg god to erase your sins. Pastor Lynn also found a problem with praying to every signficicant person in the bible, there is no problem if you dont or do that. In ethiopia there was a story of a man who prayed until his leg fell off. Just as god sacrificed his life for us, we should also be willing to sacrifice many things in order to get salvation. If its easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man going to heaven, what are the odds of us going to heaven. Just admitting to Jesus' legitmacy wont get us anywhere, we need to be devout. Something common in protestant churches is dancing. If a man goes to a club he dances, in gods home he dances the same dance. Thats dissrespectful. You wear the same clothes you sin with to church, most protestants dont fast, and eat pork. All of wich are forbidden by god. They use the death of Jesus as an excuse, they take Jesus lightly. Christianity is not a walk in the park, going to heaven is not a walk in the park. Wait until you hear that David danced as a form of worship. Also, saints being holy is between them and God. Why not pray to God directly through Jesus? Was his purpose not to be an intercessor for mankind? What do clothes have to do with salvation? What good is changing clothes to go to a holy place if you're going to go back home, change back, and continue sinning? GOD listens to the saints because they are clean. Same way Abraham pleaded with GOD to spare the people of Sodom, Saints also pray to GOD that we be saved. So we pray to them that they remember us in their prayers so that we may be saved.

The guy said Mary was sinless. I believe Mary the mother of Jesus was a godly and blessed woman, but she was not without sin. Jesus was the only human without sin. Logically doesn’t make sense, at the annunciation she was given Godly Grace to not sin again and up to that she was chosen because she was without sin. We all were dead separated from God. That is why we needed a savior the second Adam who gives life. So, Mary was no different. Well, I too used to be a Protestant Street Preacher, first Reformed and then would have lined up more with Lynn after a few years. I could also quote and recall a lot of scripture and was thought by many to be on fire and filled with the Spirit. I loved and still love the bible but I thank God that I have now experienced God more fully in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church and my introduction was while trying to convert an Orthodox Christian who "went therefore" (Matthew 28:19) in his daily life and spoke of and demonstrated Christ to others, not as a loud mouthed street preacher but as one who applied 1 Thessalonians 1:11 to his own life and made it his aim "to study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands" and 1 Peter 3:15 "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear"

I am an Orthodox from Egypt and I do not understand what the problem is with being Orthodox. I am proud that I do everything that our Lord Jesus Christ says, everything that we have learned from the Bible. We do not worship the saints and we know that our Lord Jesus Christ is the only one who has the ability to forgive our sins of course, the saints do not have this ability we certainly know this. The Bible asked us to pray for each other, and if you do not admit that, then you are saying that Saint Paul made a mistake when he said to the Thessalonians: “Pray for us.” (2 Thessalonians 3:1)
Paul was a saint and he asked people to pray for them, and this is because he was humble and knew that the Lord hears and cares about the prayers of his children. So how can I, an ordinary person, not have the humility to ask for the prayers of the saints?
I love Pastor Lynn, but unfortunately I think he does not know what Orthodox is, because if he knew Orthodox, he would know that we follow and work with all the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ that we learned from the Bible.
When paul said "pray for us" he was talking to the living christians, and he was just normally having a conversation with them, not praying to them so they can pray for him. Of course we do pray for each other, but we can't seek out to dead saints to pray for us. That was never taugh in the bible. We don't see the ancient christians seeking out, or praying to saints who are no longer alive in flesh. Prayer is a different, and unique way of communicating with God. Prayer is different, because it is done in the sole belief of being heard by God. No one other than God is communicated with prayer. If Mary, or any other saints were still alive, I would have asked them to pray for me, as they would have also asked me to pray for them as christian community.
And, the other problem is singing praises to saints, and also Mary. Psalms are worships, only that should be given to God.

When I say dead, I don't mean cease to exist. When I say dead, I mean sleeping saint like paul would call it. They are not active with us and interacting with us. We don't know if they will hear us or not. The only one that can hear prayer is God himself.
I am not saying saints in heaven don't pray, they might. But, we have no idea if they will hear our prayers. Asking and praying are different, is what I am saying. My fellow christians might pray for me when I am weak, and that is because I get to ask them because they're next to me and I can deliver my message to them. No way in the bible do we see people praying to saints or to angels. We do no see them singing to saints or angels. These are sacred acts that only should be directed to our father in heaven.
Jesus taught to pray to the father with his name. And if we can't find our fellow christians next to us, we have an only only intercessor in heaven, and he is Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5.
Why do we bring other practices in the spiritual world when it was not practiced back in the acncient church? They only prayed to God, and they only praised God. And, I don't think we should add anymore because it is being in risk of blasphemy even if there is a chance you guys might be right.

I doubt you ever came to Christ. I was raised and taught by an ex-nun who was my mother. As an orthodox this needs more clarifcation. You pray to mary because she is the most blessed of all women to ever touch the earth, on the the other hand her mother is not.
