Dramatic ending, but my favorite part was the Maribor storks, and the lions chilling in the tree. Love how the animals are unfazed by your presence. Glad you survived the wild ride!
Thanks Sharon, we always enjoy reading your feedback! The storks were huge and so fun that they were roaming nonchalantly near the tents. Some animals like the zebra and widebeest will immediately move away when a vehicle comes close by whereas the lions and the giraffe appear to be indifferent to the interest in them. Ahhh that wild ride was almost traumatic!
Thanks for watching and commenting, Ez. Yes, now that you mention it, there does seem to be. We are discovering all sorts of interesting African music through this trip...
OMG Ben jumping! HILARIOUS! This culture seriously defines 'nomadic'. Ben I am sure you were in heaven walking with the storks and Pete the giant cats in the wild....MAGICAL. Jaia loved the zebras but of course giraffes are still her fav. This was an awesome episode! Makes me realize how much of this world I haven't experienced yet.
He made a good effort didn't he?? That was so fun to watch. Thanks for such positive uplifting feedback! Ain't that the truth.. the more we travel the more we realize how much we have not yet experienced.
Amazing!!! That sunrise photographer's paradise. I want to pet the lioness, the chief seemed very kind, and Benj don't feel bad about your jumping lol it seems that they have all the time in the world to practice and.... you already have your mate !!! Great video as always ❤
Thanks Soph! Very tempting to pet the lions, especially when they came so very close by. Re the jumping, I can't help but seize the opportunity for some cross cultural observation... To outsiders, it may seem like "they have all the time in the world to practice", however, I invite you to think about this differently. You are from a culture where financial security is one of the big attractions to potential mates, and therefore males spend a bulk of their waking hours pursuing money. I'm pretty sure that if jumping high was considered a key attribute in the U.S. then American males would waste less time in the office pursuing money and spend more time doing what is important, which would be to jump high. Priorities I guess. So the life of the Masai is just as full as ours, after al they tend to their herds, they are warriors, protecting their community and flocks, they hunt for food, they have multiple wives, so that all keeps them pretty busy. They are also nomadic and therefore take down their communities and then rebuild them again and again. That said, I am glad i already have Pete and don't have to jump high to impress her! Ton Frere. There is so much to see and learn .. immersing in Maasai culture was very interesting to say the least! Hope you are ok - Happy New year!!

Incredible music, reminds me of Bobby Mcferrin circle songs.
