Thank you so much for taking the time out to explain every part of this so clearly, it makes it seem so much easier than it ever has seemed before. The course has been so very helpful! I have bought 2 of your books (my sister is bringing them out to me when she comes to visit in a couple of weeks) but I am literally starting this tomorrow. I’ve chosen some recipes from the summer meal planners on your website, have printed out the shopping lists and am going to try some double bubble prepping this week. I often have problems sourcing the ingredients as I live in a large city in Spain where there are no big hypermarkets and you would be surprised how difficult it can be to find things which are entirely taken for granted in the U.K. (such as herbs and spices, spice pastes such as Thai, tikka etc, frozen vegetables or prepared vegetables, even things like chopped tomatoes in a can and mixed beans, for example) so I’m really hoping that I will find that enough of the recipes are do-able in my location 🤞🤞🤞
Thank you! This has been a very comprehensive education, and I appreciate the time and effort you put into sharing your expertise with us. My situation is very different from yours (as a single vegan) but there is a great deal here that I shall be bearing in mind, as soon as I get that new upright freezer I've promised myself! The main thing is that you are preparing ahead, saving time and saving money and I'm all in favour of that. I have never really enjoyed cooking but I want to be able to give myself nutritious food that meets my preferences, even on the nights where my inner 6 year old is stamping her feet and refusing to go near anything more demanding or time-consuming than the microwave! Thank you again!
Brilliant info, would say one way around a portion control whoopsie is not reheating it all at one, I.e. a portion of 6 could be split into two portions of three and reheated on two separate days to save any reheated food being wasted 😀
Love your recipes and video's. As a singleton, batching is perfect. I have a waste issue though. Can I freeze Worcestershire sauce? (and others) It only keeps for 3 months after opening, and I always have to throw away at least a third of a bottle. How long will it keep in the freezer?
Yes you can freeze Worcestershire sauce and lots of others in ice cube trays, it works brilliantly! It will keep for around 8-10 months in the freezer. Hope that helps!
I got this off google.... Worcestershire sauce has a shelf life of 1.5 to 3 years and easily lasts way past the printed date. Once you open the bottle, the condiment keeps quality for about a year in the pantry and around 3 years in the fridge, but it stays safe to use much longer.
What about if I freeze all the fresh ingredients for a recipein one bag uncooked. Can I after defrosting & cooking put the leftover cooked meal back in the freezer?

Never throw away veggies. I buy fresh veggies and freeze unused portions before they go bad. That way I have some handy the next time I need them.
Brilliant! That is great to hear x
