- Mallikarjun Kharge Speech: During his address in the Rajya Sabha as part of the special parliamentary session, Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge injected humor into the proceedings by taking a playful jab at the recent G20 Summit hosted by India in New Delhi. Mallikarjun Kharge humorously quipped that he could no longer see the '0' in G20 as the lotus symbol (the election symbol of the Bhartiya Janta Party, led by Narendra Modi) had seemingly replaced it. This remark elicited laughter from the parliamentarians. However, Speaker of the House Jagdeep Dhankhar described Kharge as 'agitated' and 'angry' in response. In defense of the G20, BJP leader Piyush Goyal stepped in, but Kharge swiftly emphasized that unity prevails when it comes to the nation's progress.
