Chinese president XI Jinping has named it the 'project of the century! Since 2013 China has invested billions into bringing the 'Middle Kingdom' to the forefront of global economics and international politics.
What China calls 'The New Silk Road' allows a pair of trainers to be transported by train from China to France in less than two weeks. But they also act as a vehicle for a wave of Chinese expansionism across the world.
Chinese businesses are swooping down on all African markets, hoping to make the continent one of the new workshops of the world.

From Mao times, China has taken Africa as the brother and sister --- the friend in anti-colony , because both of us we had one period of time in colonized ,explored ,invaded and squeezed by the west world...The difference, between us , is just china had sized the opportunities to develop the country and enrich the people, which is this kind oof western media doesnt like to see ... You call china makes the Africa new workshops of the world , what is the OLD workshop? is it your western colonized times , your mindset is total drown and raped by the colony thinking

@jordie4423 I think you will be sadly disappointed. Chinese export increased 7% recently. China produces 80% of all solar panels and have the highest technological advances in many of the critical technologies. China's growth was greater last year than any western nations. It's Chinese companies that are moving to Vietnam and Ethiopia and Mexico. All that is happening is EU and USA are paying more for the same Chinese goods but through these other countries.
With regards to real estate, the Chinese government refuses to bail them out. The government want them to fail rather than what we do in the West and only kick the problem to the future. The world continues to trade with China. It's all win win.

And real state bubble indeed exist whereas it's happenning in the rest of the world where property prices are coexisting.
As for the birth rate, I agree that it's a tremendous mistake made by Chinese gov, however, every nation's gov makes mistakes, and have nothing to do with the number of parties involved, just a historical policy adopting fault.

@jordie4423 The French built railroads back in 1917, the French abandoned them because they have no use for the West. Now the Chinese build new railroads for them and Chinese is totalitarian? What is your logic? According to your logic, Chinese should leave them alone and let them keep being poor for another 100 year, that would be good for them right?

First time visit to this channel.. surprised by the anti-communist tone throughout, even though it is talking about building infrastructure and doing international business.
Made a check that this is a German channel from Berlin. Probably the inherent fear of "communism" from the East Germany days still haunting this group of "journalists" so that they cannot see things without distortion?

When it comes to work they are at it unlike other countries where Union leaders take tend to rule over everything making the work force lazy and blackmail the management on every small issue. Hence China has developed so much since the last forty years. There is a lot to learn from them rather then hating them.

Much of China's success comes from the US/EU setting the bar for fair and mutual beneficial trade and prosperity so low and the west only has itself the blame for that. Personally as an European I'll go with the team that builds bridges, roads, industry and houses instead of bombs.
China hasn't been in a war for over 30 years meanwhile the US/EU have been in at least 5 to 10+ for the entire time and they wonder why more and more countries side with China. You can't eat bombs.. though the US is trying if you're lucky one in 10.000 bombs might actually be some food dropped instead!

It reminds me of when I was a young engineer in South East Asia.
All the SMEs in my country were all from the Western countries and Japan. And the senior and middle managers are expatriate from these countries.
They were similarly "bossy" to their local subordinates and secretive about their operations. 🙄
They too live the high life, while the locals are striving to make a living.
So China has learned well from the West and Japan. 😄
It's the cycle of geopolitical and economic changes

Remember the West owns almost all the mines and mineral rich areas of Africa And France is rich because of exploitation of Africa. China is developing the countries they are trading with.

This video's narrative is so annoying especially @26:00 point...you know when the Japanese opened up 150 years during the Meiji Restoration time. They hired westerners to build and operated their countries and they worked below the westerners but at the same time learn from them. The samurais had lots of pride but they put it aside to learn new skills from other culture and eventually be better than them.
