A cafe opened in my town. At first, they played music like this on Sunday AM. But that encouraged people to buy one cup of coffee and read he whole NY Times.
More than just a soundtrack for a coffee bar, I find myself being carried away by wistful memories of a coffee bar overlooking the Seattle bay, just as the sun is setting. The mood is calm, safe, spiritual. Just off to my left I can see the big wheel, with its bright colors coming into view as the sunlight dims. Hushed conversations punctuated with occasional soft laughter from the couple sitting next to me. The space needle is just off to my right, jutting majestically up into the clear sky above. A street musician playing a harp below is filling the air with a sound not unlike gentle wind chimes. Its getting late which means nothing as the dimming sunlight gently dances on the water late into the evening of another typical Pacific North West long summer day. But like everything else the lovely evening at this quiet Seattle coffee bar comes to a close. As I climb into my car and get on the 5, heading back to Portland, I spend the next 3 hours driving with all my windows open, taking the occasional scent along the way of the tall evergreens. The work week beckons ahead, with friendly colleagues to chat with after a work day. ~~ Life is good indeed~~
Hello DivaK, this is another diva, sitting with friends and a good French dinner and wine, in a small town near the Danube, on a rather chilly May evening, after our friend having painted the entire day on a wall he's taken to creating a fancy on..the cat is meowing, and we're having a gently lovely time. Others? This would make a fun thread!
I wish the music didn’t cut so abruptly and go to the next song. It just sounds so much better when the last notes are left to ring and follow a natural decay

As an old bass player this is possibly the best i have heard. And you know what they say about bass players. The old saying "the bass player is always right" is true. Whoever is playing the piano on this doesn't just touch the keys, he or she caresses them.

Currently conducting studies and taking notes. This helps pass the time quite nicely. It's nice low energy music, so my mind can also focus on the task at hand easier. It's a calming and friendly balance.

I love when it’s just the piano, each time I find one of these videos. Simple, easy to listen to and let flow in the background as I do something that begs for some background noise. Even then, I’ll just listen to this and appreciate the soothing vibes this invokes. Great piano player too! 🎹 🎶
