Hey Hazmy, great guide. Just wanted to comment that I really like the comments from a high skilled exosuit main, that's insight I usually wouldn't get so much appreciated. The Exoprimal vids have been great and very helpful. Keep up the great work.
Advice for pvp, walls and the enemy objective are extremely useful. They are solid objects that can be used to soak up damage while your shield charges. On Data Cube, use your payload as a way to body block a dominated dinosaur. Unless your team is really well coordinated, it's going to die at least once so might as well use it to run the timer on the dominater. And you recover it constantly. As a tank, you will be leading the team. You have big health and big shield and the supports aren't going anywhere you aren't (on average). Ping objective targets actively, remind your damage exosuits they aren't there to mindlessly murder raptors all day. This is easiest with Krieger but Roadblock does this well too. You are big and menacing, when you move forward the enemy team usually yields. You want to see this in action, get in voice chat and talk your team into a temporary spawn camp. Done this with two Roadblocks cycling shields both with stun shield. Absolute nightmare for them. One dps and support are all the help you need, the fifth player can do what they want. Its also easy to recognise players with Overdrive. They run at you like they have three times the health pool they actually have. Just back off and use solid cover (walls and objectives). They'll be looking to kill you, not your damage and support, who can just overdrive into their back line basically for free. Good luck tanks, remember walls and the enemy objective have infinite health as far as you are concerned, use it.
I think Knuckle Duster is stronger than many people consider, especially for PvP. Combining it with Skid Step, Stun Blast, and Catapult rig allows for a lot of backline harassment and provides a lot of quick chase-down eliminations. It's not so much the damage that helps, rather the defense increase that lets you persist in bonking people. Plus, considering that this is a team game, one shouldn't gauge the stun capabilities on Roadblocks attacks alone. Consider that you have 4 other people with you. A single Zephyr attacking the head of an Ankylosaurus along with you will result in a quick topple and kill.
But that's not what you should be doing. You'd actively be helping your team A LOT more by actively shielding them and leave the backline harassment for the others.
@AzureRoxe What I "should be doing" is entirely situational. If I'm merely sitting tight with a shield up, I'm functionally giving my team a handicap and making any potential engagement a 4v5. Not to mention, if a melee player runs up on me, I'm basically useless. However, if I'm able to stun with the shield, if I have greatly increased defense during attacks, I can offer myself *and* my team a little more longevity during heated skirmishes. Furthermore, you can't solely depend on your team to carry your slack. Sometimes you are left alone, even if you are doing what you are "supposed to." Sometimes your team are professional glue-huffers and are more useless than bots. It's always viable to have self-reliant options on hand. Of course, you should be locking down key areas when the situation calls for it, but you also should not be limiting yourself because of a perceived role.
Just wanted you to know I appreciate all these videos, going to lvl 16 minimum for all exo suits to get all the modules to see which is best is no easy feat
Great video. It's a shame that such in-depth information isn't provided by the game but at least you can then grow you channel to help fill those gaps!
I play on console & it would be nice to have separate sensitivity settings for Zephyr, Roadblock & Murasame rather than having to change the sensitivity every time i switch to a melee character. Your guide's are top tier! Appreciate it very much! 👍
@@94DEATHSOUL94 on mnk it's fine but on console it negates you from changing to certain exo's. My hipfire sensitivity should be different from my melee sensitivity Example: when I need to switch from a Nimbus to a Zephyr or vice versa.
I main RB and found a unique style using the shield rig. I know this sounds stupid, but let me explain. I can use knuckle Duster and Stun Blast on the same build without major loss to my shield health if I wanted to (maybe if knuckle duster gets a buff in the future). When the shield rig is off cooldown, you can use it to be aggressive and attack a few times to deal damage to help the team and your main shield gets a chance to regen in peace. Even against large dinos. Those few seconds that you're using the shield rig are enough to get a lot of health for your main shield. If you use the Rig cooldown mod, you can lower the shield rig to a 12 second cooldown between each use.
While I do like the other tanks for what they do, Roadblock definitely plays by their own rules. When you can force a giant dinosaur off an objective and effectively shut down a triceratops for a couple seconds for the team to dump their ammo, it does set roadblock apart from the rest.
Sooo.. shield boost is cool and all, but sometimes you don't get to block hordes of enemies due to the team area DPS, a Witch Doctor stun, or Skywave vortex. You don't need to hold down the thing 24/7, even with big dinos. I find knuckle duster makes you much more versatile, especially with stunblast. Now you can lay out dinos for your team to sweep up or sweep up dinos with your mitts instead of standing around with a big heavy shield, being useless.
Yeah, that big 10% extra damage is really cleaning up. You should probably just play Zephyr instead if your team doesn't need or can't make use of the shield.
Probably the most fun and satisfying suit to use, I have yet to use legendary taunt because the dopamine hits from knocking down a large dino with an enhanced bash followed by a drill is just perfect
The biggest lesson I learned playing Roadblock during the second-half of my playthrough: T-Rex will most definitely one-shot you. That shield doesn't block T-Rex command grab. Respect the Dino-Ult. Equip catapult. See that T-Rex charging you? Jump tf out of there. I'm partial to Skid Step over Rig Module. Roadblock makes great use of rigs, whether you increase his DPS with Drill, or switch to Catapult to gain that superior mobility for PvP and maneuvering dinos. It's not a bad idea to use Skid Step if you want extra mobility, but Rig Module is cheaper and more versatile. I'd say it's preference at that point. Definitely don't try to block a T-Rex ult though. It really sucks to have all that health just to get one-shot.
*me as Nimbus in the corner seeing it go off ready to throw Teleport for recall. It's also why I run the hell away or hide behind an ally the moment i see a T-rex roaring post spawn since if they die, at least I can recall without downtime. i really wanna buy this game but every yt post i see is almost blaming the game and i saw it has like 2k players on steam but i guess most of the players is on console and xbox pass is it true?
They announced 1 million players trying the game out - and steam only showed 2000 players every day or so - so yes, there are hundreds of thousands of players on other platorms, especially GamePass
I play on PS5. I see other Playstation player characters with a "PS" tag in the party window etc. But everyone else has a C (Capcom). The C is for Xbox and PC players. Maybe one day Xbox will be cool enough to have their own tag. So at a glance it looks like there are way more PC players than console.

i did that to a Barrage once who very obviously panicked because he hit every ability he had, including the Rig. Before Ulting at the end, to which i walked up and held shield to block him from flying back and the kickback still sent him falling off anyway lol.
I like watching theese its not rly necessary i have all my exosuits at level 10+ and all the supports level 20+ kreiger level 20+ and barrage and deadeye 20+ but there fun to watch. Id consider witchdoctor and nimbus my mains but ill switch depending on what everyones playing deadeye for pvp and barrage for pve
This modules are work for Alpha and Beta aswell? Or are different
They do with some complexity.
Red mods change the primary use of the fighter and are exclusive to the original/alpha/beta. The others are usually available cross original/alpha/beta you just have to earn them from the variant that unlocks it
Finally
Damn less than 2 weeks and theres already a meta? People work fast
Well Meta just means what works the best - there is always a meta
i really wanna buy this game but every yt post i see is almost blaming the game and i saw it has like 2k players on steam but i guess most of the players is on console and xbox pass is it true?
They announced 1 million players trying the game out - and steam only showed 2000 players every day or so - so yes, there are hundreds of thousands of players on other platorms, especially GamePass
I play on PS5. I see other Playstation player characters with a "PS" tag in the party window etc. But everyone else has a C (Capcom). The C is for Xbox and PC players. Maybe one day Xbox will be cool enough to have their own tag. So at a glance it looks like there are way more PC players than console.
There is allow crossplay between Xbox players and steam players
