What a beautiful old yard! Lots of history. Im glad you and the ponies are happy😃 I would to ride or walk though that glouris estate and go exploring. Thanks for the tour Lucy and camra lady!!!! xxxxxx
You Brits kill me! You just don't notice the rain, do you? If that had been me, I'd have been decked out in all sorts of rain gear and probably an umbrella as well LOL.
The thing at ten minutes is also used for horsey hair removal! Not sure what it's called but it used to be lit in fire and swept over the horse to remove any cat hairs. No one is going to believe me so ill be back with a source! 🤣😁
Lovely stables, and yes, every girls dream of a tack room. I can imagine a roaring fire and grooms sitting about cleaning tack......which is what those hooks from the ceiling are for. Beautiful situation for a girl and her horses.
Love your yard so full of charachter ! The mystery tool is I believe used for cat hairs when they are clipped, singeing , using metholayted spirits and lighting the wick at the end
Yup, that's what I was going to say, also the wither pad which my mum used to make as we didn't have loads of saddles for different disciplines, the old Barnsby saddles could fit youngsters, hunters and my pointer with a wither pad no sore backs 😊
Once again thoroughly enjoyed. My non horsey husband has got four challenges for you next year along with the side saddle riding. The four are, Polo (I'm sure you have had a bash at it) Carriage driving, Jousting (fun with the other three pony girls) and then rodeo (barrel racing). Lastly, it was a treat while browsing through an old "The Field" magazine (August 2021) the other morning of seeing you in a double page spread advertising for Toggi. Remember your Vlog on it. If I'm correct you shot the photos in Wales and were accompanies by Meg Elphick.
How interesting! Thank you Lucy for so generously guiding us around your yard, stables and countryside. And formally introducing us to your horses, all on a wet rainy winter's day in Norfolk England. Behind all the style and elegance is a dedicated, hard-working and clever young lady - Well done!
Beautiful place, and the riding is amazing - very jealous. And you get to play with Zach who seems so lovely - such a classic old-fashioned hunter. Love his big bowling canter.
Beautiful footage at the end, wow. 200 acres of fun!! Ember seems a little isolated, with the wall/door no? Is there a reason why he’s there and not in the space where you put your blankets?
What a great yard! And a wonderful estate. I wish I lived there 😍 You are so lucky to basically 'have' Zac to ride too - he is such a nice horse for an estate. Ember seems cozy in his nice warm indoor area. I wonder if the more expensive and special horses were kept in there in days gone by? I'm not sure why people are so worried that he is lonely, you told us he goes out at night with Bonnie, and I'm guessing when he was a racehorse, he couldn't bump noses with his neighbors 'cause they might bite! By the way, please introduce us to Lulu when you have a chance - she seems to think that she's joined your pack 😊
We don't have hot water or a bathroom.... or any lights on the arena at night 😂 I would say those are my 3 big things I miss, but the horses are vey well taken care of. Peeing in the stable 😂
Crikey im not surprised you don't fill Hay nets in the dark, it looks like a serial killer is going to come out of the woods and torture you in that shed!😳💀
This yard would be my dream, the hacking, all the turnout and the stables itself have so much history - how perfect!

What a fabulous yard 😊
Oh my gosh there's a fireplace in the tack room! That'd be my favorite feature! I love old barns and buildings. All the Black Beauty vibes!
I’m so in love with your stables, Lucy 😍🥰 Absolute dream!
Looks a very nice place for the horses and to ride
Such a beautiful yard🤩🤩🤩🤩

I was going to say that - it singes the hair off. it is lit by gas I think? seen a video of it getting used!
What a great situation! Loved seeing it, even the "murdery woods" 🤣

Ask the landlord 😂 if you can do a tack room and yard makeover. Bit if paint and a duster and some brasso. Make a great series

We actually bought some of those clippers for one of the horses that refuses to have clippers near his head😅
Love you your my idol x

That metal tool was for singeing off cat hairs 😊 You run a flame over their body with it 😅 I also think that pad was for strapping!?
That fan like thing is for singeing Long hairs that grow after clipping !!
Totally off point, but looking at your horsie pooh pile all I can think, as a gardener in my other spare time, is COMPOST!!
That thing in your tack room might of been used to singe a horse. They where used before clipper's where invented
Nice Le Chameau boots!! Are normal boots or are insulated boots?
Ooo

Merry Christmas😊

Zack is so lovely! I wish he was mine.
