    Great details about what cap letters represent, terminology and appreciation for these chainsaws. The Stihl representative deserves a raise for this. True that everyone seems to have a "landscaping company" or they are a tree trimmer these days.

    Great video, Mark! I really appreciated the breakdown of the chainsaw maintenance tips, especially the part about checking and cleaning after every use. It’s so important to keep our tools in top shape! Do you have any specific recommendations for cleaning products or techniques to use on the carburetor? Looking forward to the next part of the series!

    I appreciate it Mark. I have a MS 170 and its been great. I have been bad about maintenance. This will help. It's been a great saw even abused. I would love to see how to use that sharpener. I bought one. But instructions were confusing. I'm not sure if I did it right.

      I bought the same one this earlier this year....it's a great saw for it's size. I beat mine pretty good and it still keeps on going

    Great video, good tip on the $800 pole saw is only use it at night so nobody sees you have it. Your neighbor will keep borrowing it and you know he doesn't have that many darn trees and six months later it will be at his buddies house who is going to be a real good guy once you meet him and the bar oiler will be all full of junk and the chain falling off of it so you can work on it because your neighbor knows you like to work on things before you use them then hey I need that saw back and my buddy wants to use it again you drained the gas out, you didn't have to do that we want to use it again we started a tree service with all borrowed equipment. Tell you what we won't bring your saw back but we will trim some trees for free wait it needs worked on could you get it fixed some people at church expect me to trim their trees so we're gonna need it tomorrow and a while longer do I want to buy it off you no I need a new car truck camper golf cart concrete drive 4 acre lot I don't have any money what you won't loan me the saw anymore well F U.

    What’s the easiest way to replace or fix the ignition coil on a 056 super? I’m having trouble finding parts. It came with Bosch ignition but went bad, I did get the sem ignition but I can’t find a flywheel for the sem...whatcha think?!?! I also heard there is a fix for the Bosch but requires digging in and soldering but I’m not 100% sure.

      @SheepDog will not hurt anything at all to flip bar. You’re right it just evens the wear. I’d say when u take chain off to clean or whatever just flip the bar over

  • @handyscapersllc
    @handyscapersllc 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks Mark for the info. I don't know if I missed it or you didn't cover it. But there is a grease point in the sprocket that hardly anyone knows about.

    • @handyscapersllc
      @handyscapersllc 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It take a special grease tool to grease it also

    • @handyscapersllc
      @handyscapersllc 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me correct myself. If the center of your sprocket has a hole then its greasable if its solid then you can't grease. The 1st saw you showed was not greasable

    I like the paintbrush idea for cleaning👍 Also, lifting the tip of the bar when tightening the blade. I'll be honest, I HATE sharpening my blades. Very tedious. I just by new instead. I get that it's not cost effective, but there has to be a better way. When will we see a more time efficient sharpening tool?
