Who would possibly think that that tiny amount of blood or open mouth qualifies. That Rick is super lazy too. Have you seen the Tron pops coming out. The chase is a lot less vibrant which baffles me. There really are some truly crap chases out there.
I have not seen the tron chases in person, it's hard to tell what exactly makes them different from the glams, at first I thought it was metallic paint. The commons I think glow too. I want them but I think I'll be fine with the commons.
Matthew Movies exactly. The chases aren't even like any different. And they have made so many variants that just aren't wanted or needed, I.e. the doghan daguis, all the Grinch variants.
For me the Salazar chase from Pirates is really annoying, because the common Salazar is the extremely boring flashback Salazar, who was in the movie for one or two scenes, while the chase is the actual ghost Salazar. In my opinion it should have been that the chase should have been the common one and the chase could have been Salazar with floating hair and maybe a different stance or they just could've left the chase completely out.

I don't really chase hunt anymore, in my area pops are very popular. It's pretty impossible even finding exclusives at most stores besides hot topic so actually hunting pops has just become more trouble than it's worth. I usually just order pops online 90% of the time. Saves me a lot of time.

Chase sticker have a lot of power. I was big into the hype. Now that there are so many out there, its not as fun anymore. there seems to be a lot of newer collectors out there who just want chase pops because of the sticker. Whatever funko is doing, its working.
I agree, funko is very smart when it comes to manipulating supply and demand wether they mean to or not. It's pretty genius and should be studied in economics classes.
My first Chase was Heffalump I got him by Barnes and Noble online. Second was Punisher I got him at Entertainment Earth online. 3rd believe me or Ratatouille at Walmart around 3:00 PM. 4 at Gamestop Princess Aurora.

I found this chase in the wild, but the colorful version is much better looking. My favorites are pretty much any GITD chase.

I completely agree with your list. I will say that with star lord’s pop, yes it looks like the chase and the Toys r us exclusive have the same head but they are slightly different. The Toys r us helmet is slightly thinner while the chases head is wider. You have to look closely but the Toys r us helmet moves a lot in the packaging for the chase. I have checked it myself since I have both. But the helmets are different in size.
I have only 1 Chase funko and that is Chubbs from Happy Gilmore. The fact that the Chase version has his fake fingers broken made me really love it. I see on the common his fake hand is intact. It’s a very small difference that is hardly noticeable. Unless you are a Happy Gilmore fan. Maybe to some people the Chase Chubbs funko might be lazy considering that they removed a few fingers, but to me I love it.
Been collecting almost three years and have never found a chase in the wild or by chance in the mail. Not even a crappy one. The only chases I have were bought at a premium.

I have found 3 in 5 yrs all by chase. Found a chase like on speeder chase at a store going out of business, a care bear chase coming home from vacation (randomly stopped at a mall) and a pretty woman pop at a game stop. I currently have 870 pops just for perspective.
Seeing this video now it makes sense about the Batman one, Eddie from Iron Maiden’s somewhere in time has both a regular and a chase with one being him in his album art and the other being stranger in a strange land which isn’t all that different from the original but it still makes for a great chase which is what the Batman should’ve been done with
I've been collecting since 2014, and I don't buy too many every year - I've only amassed about 160 POP's over about 6 years, and I don't own a single chase. I've seen 2 out in the wild, but they weren't series or characters I was interested in collecting. I do have to 100% agree with your opinion on Weaponized Rick. I remember seeing that chase and comparing it to the common, and it took me a second to realize that the mouth was such a minor change that he wasn't worth springing the extra money on.
Until about a week ago I'd never seen a chase in person. I then receive the 3-pack of Kingdom Hearts "blind box" exclusive to GameStop by mail. Opened it up and found they'd shipped me one of the glow in the dark chase sets (I've heard their 1 in 4 for the chance to get one). I was just happy I was getting the Tron set of them, ecstatic that I got the glow chases (and they have a nice glow after a good bright light is used on them). Oddly enough a day or two later I was looking through my B&N and where they moved most of their pops. Kept finding Peppermint Paddy and then after looking at all the other shelved pops looked at the top of the main stand thinking they were just extras of ones I already looked at. Saw an Aurora pop and noticed the blue dress first, didn't hit me for a second until I remembered the dress should be pink like the others and that was the same time I saw the chase sticker. I admit Sleeping Beauty is not my favorite Disney movie but I always preferred the blue dress to the pink dress, that thought coupled with seeing my first in store/wild Chase made me snatch it up quickly; as luck would have it, that was also my birthday :) I think what might have been even better for the chase would have been if they did the magical accident one where the dress ended up half blue and half pink, even if Aurora never wore that version in the movie. As always, thank for doing all these videos, I like listening to other people's opinions and appreciate your Funko News videos as they're very helpful to those of us still new to the hunt or even those who are picky about what they hunt. Keep up the good work.

Little late to the video but I did want to chime in. One thing they do with Chases that I find lazy is literally just making a part of the Pop glow in the dark with no other difference. Now, yeah, I still want all the Kingdom Hearts Chases because I want to complete the collection, but it's still a lazy tactic to me. As for Sub Zero, what they could've (should've) done, was really up the ice effect, change the pose, and maybe even make the ice GITD. That would've made a badass Chase.

found a chace in the wild in Toys R Us, i found the five nights at freddy's phantom cupcake on the top of the display in plain sight and paid £9.99 the same as the rest of the pops. such a lucky find and couldnt have been happier.
I own the Tiffany Chase from Bride of Chucky. Sort of my first chase. I like it better than the normal one for sure, and probably thats why i got it. Also have King Dice Chase in his Yellow suit. But to be fair other than those two there im not going out of my way to get special chase variants. Some are nice indeed tho but i do feel there is an abundance of bad chase pops too.

I was in Toys R Us doing some Christmas shopping with my parents. I found four chase Dorbz just sitting on the shelf. None of them were anything I collect so I just left them for the next person to find. Not sure if Dorbz can be compared to Pops but.
Dilophosaurus is the only chase I have and it's the one I didn't want. Haha. I just happened to get it from Amazon, but now I'm kinda glad I did cause now I have the complete Jurassic Park/World collection.
I currently own 2 Chases with one on the way. Audrey II which I got from GameStop online at random, and HT GITD Aang with Zuko in the way! I used to have Metallic Wonder Woman, Demogorgon, and Starlord from Vol. 2
I try to collect chases because it helps me limit the amount of pops I buy, also the Starlord chase is the most recent one I added to my collection so funny to see it in the #1 spot, didnt realize it was just a head swap
One set of CHASE's I didn't care for were the Terrence and Philip CHASE's from the South Park line. All they did was add the Canadian flag to their hands. I feel like it would be better if they did something like a farting stance or something that they actually did

I would say the hopper chase is also another lazy one. I miss the metallic chases, Funko seems more stuck on flocked and GITD nowadays. Looking forward to your NYCC haul video!
the metallic chases are some of my favorite. Just look at how much better the duck dodgers chase is than the common. I liked flocked ones too but the metallic ones are classic.
I found and bought 4 chases at once but the fifth that I saw was Doghan-I left him in the rack because I wasn’t sure he was actually the chase-he had the sticker, but I remembered your review here and thought “four is enough for today.”
the Doghan Daguis should have been a 3 pack its not 3 versions of 1 character is 3 different ones that share a phycic link. if you havent seen the movie youll miss that fact. so the chase thing makes no sence because commen/chase are different charactors
I totally agree with you. We had Pop boxes splatered with blood, sad that the Tiffany haven't this for the Chase. I also love Rick & Morty, but the Chase has just nothing interesting and it's lazy ! And I was just waiting the Doghans to appear in your video ^^ (and glad you noted they put the stickers on the wrong boxes :D) And finally, for Star-Lord, a lot of people found it in the wild, I think it was the most easy to found everywhere, even in Europe ! And I also said on Facebook groups to people to buy the Toys'r Us one and mix the head if they didn't found the Chase ^^ Personally, I think in less than 2 years Funko will be down. Big collectors are starting to reach the maximum (I have 350 Pop! and I'm starting to sell more than buying), and small collectors it's the same, when they will reach 50/70 Pop, they will buy much more less. So what do you think about that ? And Funko entering stock exchange (worst enter in 2017 by the way) is maybe their last try... What do you think ? Will Funko crash in 18/24 months ?
I'm not sure. I think funko is creating a bubble right now. It will burst at one point but I don't think it will go away. I think they need to stop making a character then a few months later making it flocked. The double dipping is very annoying and will turn people off. Just like comic book companies in the 90's they would make way too many variant covers.
i just started only have 12 pops - i found a chase today being sold for 5 pound in uk. got home it was worth 10 but on ebay was worth 20 inc postage no one was selling less than this price and it was not hidden it was on front row of the shelf
I can tell you the only chase I own is the Cuphead one, where he's black and white. Granted it's lazy, but I really wanted it for my set. The only other chase I'm actively looking for for a good price is the King Dice one where he's yellow, just to complete the set.

I think the reason people will buy anything with a Chase sticker is that Chases are pretty much guaranteed to go up in value, even if only just a little. I don't know of any Chase that can't be sold on eBay for more than what it cost on the store shelf. Whereas, with commons, you never really know if they're going to go up in value. Some commons go up in value, some decrease in value, and some just stay the same value.
I ordered Jim from the office as a present for a friend and I got the chase and I thought it was kinda garbage tbh. The only difference from the original is he had "book" written on his face. It's a Facebook costume that was cut from a Halloween episode

Linda Pettersson I passed on a LeatherFace that was right next to the 1 without the BloodSplatter. It had a sticker àbout being some store's exclusive, but I didn't think anything of it. Kinda wished I'd bought it now...
tbh I really love the sub zero chase I know its such a small difference but I love sub zero and I want the full set of the mk line. Been waiting for that line for a while.
It funny that I was telling my friend I didn't like how they did the chase for Tiffany, later that day my package came in the mail. I was expecting to see the normal Tiffany I bought from Amazon but instead it was the chase, I named it Acne Face.
I think the Demogorgon/Demodog was unimpressive... I’d 100% rather get the normal one, if I found a Chase, I’d get it, but I’d go buy another one which isn’t a chase... I did pre-order the demodog without specifying not to be a chase, but I’ll definitely buy one and specify non-chase if my order is a chase...
The 'Lexa' pop from 'The 100' chase sucked. The only difference was that they removed her face paint. REMOVED it! They made the chase WORSE than the common.
I feel like its worse when the chase is the one that should have been the common, and you get stuck with a strange version, or barely seen version of a character instead of what they appear as most.
I agree, lately it seems that a few of the chases aren't as cool as the common but it's still fun to have them in there as rare pieces but the common is far superior when it comes to design and accuracy.
I'm not really thrilled with my iron shriek chase. the normal one might be better with the White Keffiyeh but its not really worth it for me to get both. and the one i think is probably the worst that i dont have is the gaint from twin peeks. its just a common in the wrong box. for my favorite that i have would have to be mr meeseeks. i only have 2 other ones atm being funtime freddy witch is fairly cool looking for anyone who likes the games and star lord witch i don't really need to say much more about him lol.

I just buy the Hopper Chase, and the difference is that the chase doesn't have the hat, I prefer the common but I found the chase. I think that is the worst chase but is Hopper
Only care about chases if it’s really different from the original and if it’s sentimental for me. For example the dopey chase or razor Ramon chase. I got dopey because I loved the kiss on the head and razor had the nwo tights on (used to watch wwf). But most of the time (if not all) the original is just as good as the chase maybe even better. But it’s all personal opinion.
I own the Star-Lord chase. I found it at a comic book shop. It's the only chase I own. I only want a chase if it's of a character I like. I want the chases from the Black Panther series cause I love Black Panther. I want the Hellboy chase cause I love Hellboy. I've left chases like WWE one's I found cause why would I buy a Pop I don't want? I buy chases if it's a pop that interests me.
You didn’t watched the animated series of Batman, hearing talking about the design and how it should been have swapped the body.... buddy, shouldn’t have different body, it’s a machine that Replicates batman, that auto destroys himself when it believes he killed the real bats. That’s why the body it’s the same and the head it’s open like that. The full head thou, that one it’s a good point, no reason for it.
Something off topic, but wouldn't it be cool if Funko did a Kylo Ren pop, holding Darth Vader's mask. It would be even better if they put him sitting on his bed. It should be a SDCC Or NYCC. If not, then a Hot Topic Exclusive.

I was in Toys R Us doing some Christmas shopping with my parents. I found four chase Dorbz just sitting on the shelf. None of them were anything I collect so I just left them for the next person to find.
Not sure if Dorbz can be compared to Pops but.
I’ve found 4 chases in the wild. Reptar, Porg, Robot Batman and Wally Gator. Only one I left behind was Wally Gator
Dilophosaurus is the only chase I have and it's the one I didn't want. Haha. I just happened to get it from Amazon, but now I'm kinda glad I did cause now I have the complete Jurassic Park/World collection.
I currently own 2 Chases with one on the way. Audrey II which I got from GameStop online at random, and HT GITD Aang with Zuko in the way! I used to have Metallic Wonder Woman, Demogorgon, and Starlord from Vol. 2
I try to collect chases because it helps me limit the amount of pops I buy, also the Starlord chase is the most recent one I added to my collection so funny to see it in the #1 spot, didnt realize it was just a head swap
One set of CHASE's I didn't care for were the Terrence and Philip CHASE's from the South Park line. All they did was add the Canadian flag to their hands. I feel like it would be better if they did something like a farting stance or something that they actually did

I would say the hopper chase is also another lazy one. I miss the metallic chases, Funko seems more stuck on flocked and GITD nowadays. Looking forward to your NYCC haul video!
the metallic chases are some of my favorite. Just look at how much better the duck dodgers chase is than the common. I liked flocked ones too but the metallic ones are classic.
I find the robot batman is actually pretty terrifying.
I found and bought 4 chases at once but the fifth that I saw was Doghan-I left him in the rack because I wasn’t sure he was actually the chase-he had the sticker, but I remembered your review here and thought “four is enough for today.”

The first chase I got was a Doghan Daguis but it was the black bag. Dont know if the guy just slapped a sticker on there
the Doghan Daguis should have been a 3 pack its not 3 versions of 1 character is 3 different ones that share a phycic link. if you havent seen the movie youll miss that fact. so the chase thing makes no sence because commen/chase are different charactors

I totally agree with you. We had Pop boxes splatered with blood, sad that the Tiffany haven't this for the Chase. I also love Rick & Morty, but the Chase has just nothing interesting and it's lazy ! And I was just waiting the Doghans to appear in your video ^^ (and glad you noted they put the stickers on the wrong boxes :D) And finally, for Star-Lord, a lot of people found it in the wild, I think it was the most easy to found everywhere, even in Europe ! And I also said on Facebook groups to people to buy the Toys'r Us one and mix the head if they didn't found the Chase ^^
Personally, I think in less than 2 years Funko will be down. Big collectors are starting to reach the maximum (I have 350 Pop! and I'm starting to sell more than buying), and small collectors it's the same, when they will reach 50/70 Pop, they will buy much more less. So what do you think about that ? And Funko entering stock exchange (worst enter in 2017 by the way) is maybe their last try... What do you think ? Will Funko crash in 18/24 months ?
Ho and my favorite Chase is The Riddler from Batman 1966 series ;)
I'm not sure. I think funko is creating a bubble right now. It will burst at one point but I don't think it will go away. I think they need to stop making a character then a few months later making it flocked. The double dipping is very annoying and will turn people off. Just like comic book companies in the 90's they would make way too many variant covers.

i just started only have 12 pops - i found a chase today being sold for 5 pound in uk. got home it was worth 10 but on ebay was worth 20 inc postage no one was selling less than this price

I can tell you the only chase I own is the Cuphead one, where he's black and white. Granted it's lazy, but I really wanted it for my set. The only other chase I'm actively looking for for a good price is the King Dice one where he's yellow, just to complete the set.
I have never found a chase in the wild. where I live it's flipper central and they make it hard for anyone to actually get a chase around here.
I've been collecting for like 4 years and never found a Chase in the wild til about 4 days ago I found a Hellboy Chase at Hot Topic I was so freaked out
I think the reason people will buy anything with a Chase sticker is that Chases are pretty much guaranteed to go up in value, even if only just a little. I don't know of any Chase that can't be sold on eBay for more than what it cost on the store shelf. Whereas, with commons, you never really know if they're going to go up in value. Some commons go up in value, some decrease in value, and some just stay the same value.

I ordered Jim from the office as a present for a friend and I got the chase and I thought it was kinda garbage tbh. The only difference from the original is he had "book" written on his face. It's a Facebook costume that was cut from a Halloween episode

I have been collecting since March of this year and I haven't found a chase yet and honestly I don't care. I don't have the time, money and gas to be going around town trying to find one. I rather have other common pops that are harder to find like you mentioned. Although the upcoming WWE retro rock chase might be one I want lol

I passed on a LeatherFace that was right next to the 1 without the BloodSplatter. It had a sticker àbout being some store's exclusive, but I didn't think anything of it. Kinda wished I'd bought it now...
tbh I really love the sub zero chase I know its such a small difference but I love sub zero and I want the full set of the mk line. Been waiting for that line for a while.
It funny that I was telling my friend I didn't like how they did the chase for Tiffany, later that day my package came in the mail. I was expecting to see the normal Tiffany I bought from Amazon but instead it was the chase, I named it Acne Face.

I think the Demogorgon/Demodog was unimpressive... I’d 100% rather get the normal one, if I found a Chase, I’d get it, but I’d go buy another one which isn’t a chase... I did pre-order the demodog without specifying not to be a chase, but I’ll definitely buy one and specify non-chase if my order is a chase...
The 'Lexa' pop from 'The 100' chase sucked. The only difference was that they removed her face paint. REMOVED it! They made the chase WORSE than the common.

The problem with the Tiff chase is the blood is inconsistent. I had 6 of them and not one of them looked alike

I feel like its worse when the chase is the one that should have been the common, and you get stuck with a strange version, or barely seen version of a character instead of what they appear as most.
I agree, lately it seems that a few of the chases aren't as cool as the common but it's still fun to have them in there as rare pieces but the common is far superior when it comes to design and accuracy.

I'm not really thrilled with my iron shriek chase. the normal one might be better with the White Keffiyeh but its not really worth it for me to get both. and the one i think is probably the worst that i dont have is the gaint from twin peeks. its just a common in the wrong box. for my favorite that i have would have to be mr meeseeks. i only have 2 other ones atm being funtime freddy witch is fairly cool looking for anyone who likes the games and star lord witch i don't really need to say much more about him lol.
Mr meeseeks is a great one. One of the ones I wish I had! I agree that the fnaf chases are really good even though I don't know much about fnaf.

Only care about chases if it’s really different from the original and if it’s sentimental for me. For example the dopey chase or razor Ramon chase. I got dopey because I loved the kiss on the head and razor had the nwo tights on (used to watch wwf). But most of the time (if not all) the original is just as good as the chase maybe even better. But it’s all personal opinion.

I own the Star-Lord chase. I found it at a comic book shop. It's the only chase I own. I only want a chase if it's of a character I like. I want the chases from the Black Panther series cause I love Black Panther. I want the Hellboy chase cause I love Hellboy. I've left chases like WWE one's I found cause why would I buy a Pop I don't want? I buy chases if it's a pop that interests me.

buddy, shouldn’t have different body, it’s a machine that Replicates batman, that auto destroys himself when it believes he killed the real bats. That’s why the body it’s the same and the head it’s open like that. The full head thou, that one it’s a good point, no reason for it.
