🌲🎄 good afternoon all ☃️ my friend from church went to a Bluegrass concert in Morristown NJ several years back enjoyed the concert had the wash board and also the jugs🌲🌲
Worked a summer in a sawmill on school break in Lithonia (metro Atlanta). Loved it. Worked behind the saw and stacking the planks and sometimes in the woods loading the cut trees onto the truck. I felt so happy and good due the hard labor. Wish the pay & benefits was good enough to forsake any professional job. :.
This makes me want to cry.. my children and myself have had the worst year and been homeless because of the housing shortage in Australia, our 2nd Christmas without a house. I am a huge Christmas person and so are all 7 of my children big and small.. this music hits me in my feels, I wasn't feeling Christmas this year again BUT this cracked a little hole in my heart. Thank you Merry Christmas everyone and may next year be the best of all our lives xo

In the Balsams(the Great Smokies of NC) in the 1940's my wife-to-be had a hard candy Christmas. She got a sweater for Christmas and wore it to school the first chance she had. Many years later at a reunion a fellow classmate told my wife -to-be that the class hated her for that sweater. Her classmates told her they hated her for her sweater because they got nothing - the mountain vervison of a hard candy Christmas. She cried at that reunion because she did not know what she had done. During the war that tiny community had combined ration stamps to get my wife her first pair of shoes.
